Please check other error and warning messages for details." But when I comment out the FaultContract Attribute, I am able to add the wcf service reference th' my client app. Would appreciate if somebody can help me solve this mystery. Thanks

  • Custom RIA Authentication

    - by cmaduro
Following the steps in this post: http://forums.silverlight.net/forums/t/177042.aspx Where/How do I add the [Key] attribute on the Name property of the IAuthentication where User is one of my ADO.Net Entity objects? My options so far seem to be: In the designer codebehind of me ADO.Net Entity Model. Create a partial User class and add it there In the AuthenticationService.metadata.cs partial User class. It just does not seem to work no matter where I place the [Key] attribute.

    - by ridecar2
Hi All, I have an attribute that I have written that has a dependency on the Data Access Layer so I made a constructor that took the DAL class as a parameter (marked with [DefaultConstructor] and another, blank, constructor that is parameterless. When I call a method that depends on the attribute how do I make StructureMap inject the correct type? Thanks Gareth

  • How to use java ee 6 @Resource annotation

    - by javamonkey79
The java ee 6 api has an annotation @Resource with an attribute 'lookup', however, so does the java se 6 api (here). However, since java ee 6 is dependent on java se 6, it seems you can not get at the ee version of the annotation and the 'lookup' attribute. Is this a bug or is there some other way to use this annotation that I am missing. TIA

  • Updating protected using update_all

    - by Jack
Since you cannot use the normal 'update' and 'update_attribute' methods from ActiveRecord to update a protected attribute, is the following the best way to update an attribute for a single user? User.update_all("admin = true","id = 1") I'm guessing this doesn't lie in the 'best practice' category, so I'm just curious if there is a more appropriate way.

  • Confusion with MIDlet attributes in a JAD file

    - by Mithun
"MicroEdition-Profile" can have multiple values separated by space in the JAD file, where as "MicroEdtion-Configuration" can have only one value. According to JTWI specifications, Minimum requirement for MIDP is 2.0, so this gives us only one option (MIDP 2.0) to put in the JAD file Minimum requirement for CLDC is 1.0, so this gives us two options to put in the JAD file ie: CLDC1.0 and CLDC2.0 I can create an application which is compatible with CLDC1.0 and 1.1. Why are multiple values allowed for Profile attribute but only one value is allowed for Configuration attribute?

  • c# - How do you get a variable's name as it was physically typed in its declaration?

    - by Petras
The class below contains the field city. I need to dynamically determine the field's name as it is typed in the class declaration i.e. I need to get the string "city" from an instance of the object city. I have tried to do this by examining its Type in DoSomething() but can't find it when examining the contents of the Type in the debugger. Is it possible? public class Person { public string city = "New York"; public Person() { } public void DoSomething() { Type t = city.GetType(); string field_name = t.SomeUnkownFunction(); //would return the string "city" if it existed! } } Some people in their answers below have asked me why I want to do this. Here's why. In my real world situation, there is a custom attribute above city. [MyCustomAttribute("param1", "param2", etc)] public string city = "New York"; I need this attribute in other code. To get the attribute, I use reflection. And in the reflection code I need to type the string "city" MyCustomAttribute attr; Type t = typeof(Person); foreach (FieldInfo field in t.GetFields()) { if (field.Name == "city") { //do stuff when we find the field that has the attribute we need } } Now this isn't type safe. If I changed the variable "city" to "workCity" in my field declaration in Person this line would fail unless I knew to update the string if (field.Name == "workCity") //I have to make this change in another file for this to still work, yuk! { } So I am trying to find some way to pass the string to this code without physically typing it. Yes, I could declare it as a string constant in Person (or something like that) but that would still be typing it twice. Phew! That was tough to explain!! Thanks Thanks to all who answered this * a lot*. It sent me on a new path to better understand lambda expressions. And it created a new question.

    - by Jova
Why can't I do like this? [Required(ErrorMessage = "*")] [RegularExpression("^[a-zA-Z0-9_]*$", ErrorMessage = Resources.RegistrationModel.UsernameError)] public string Username { get; set; } What is the error message telling me? An attribute argument must be a constant expression , typeof expression or array creation expression of an attribute parameter type.

    - by ben
<div id="id" class="div-style"><img id="1" class="img-style"></div> I would like to use the id attribute as a way for jQuery to select the element, and the class attribute for CSS to style it. My guess for jQuery selector ran thusly: $("#id .div-class") and $("#id .img-class") This returns the error "Selector expected"

  • How to disable html button using JavaScript?

    - by Jack Roscoe
Hi, I've read that you can disable (make physically unclickable) a html button simply but appending 'disable' to its tag, but not as an attribute, as follows: <input type="button" name=myButton value="disable" disabled> Since this setting is not an attribute, how can I add this in dynamically via JavaScript to disable a button that was previously enabled?

  • Attributes don't inherit?

    - by Stebi
I played with attributes and assumed that they are inherited but it doesn't seem so: type [MyAttribute] TClass1 = class end; TClass2 = class(TClass1) end; TClass2 doesn't have the Attribute "MyAttribute" although it inherits from Class1. Is there any possibility to make an attribute inheritable? Or do I have to go up the class hierarchy and search for attributes?
