  • php script google maps points from mysql (google example)

    - by user1637477
    I have recently added style information to my maps script, and it stopped working. Have I done something wrong? Guess you can tell I'm very new to this. Any help appreciated. <!DOCTYPE html> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"><title>Google Maps AJAX + mySQL/PHP Example</title> <script src="http://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> //<![CDATA[ ( *******************I INSERTED HERE ) var styles = [ { stylers: [ { hue: "#00ffe6" }, { saturation: -20 } ] },{ featureType: "road", elementType: "geometry", stylers: [ { lightness: 100 }, { visibility: "simplified" } ] },{ featureType: "road", elementType: "labels", stylers: [ { visibility: "off" } ] } ];**( ******************************** THROUGH TO HERE ) map.setOptions({styles: styles}); var customIcons = { restaurant: { icon: 'http://labs.google.com/ridefinder/images/mm_20_blue.png', shadow: 'http://labs.google.com/ridefinder/images/mm_20_shadow.png' }, bar: { icon: 'http://labs.google.com/ridefinder/images/mm_20_red.png', shadow: 'http://labs.google.com/ridefinder/images/mm_20_shadow.png' } }; function load() { var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map"), { center: new google.maps.LatLng(-37.7735, 175.1418), zoom: 10, mapTypeId: 'roadmap' }); var infoWindow = new google.maps.InfoWindow; // Change this depending on the name of your PHP fileBHBHBHBHBHBHBHBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB downloadUrl("mywebsite-no i did this just a minute ago", function(data) { var xml = data.responseXML; var markers = xml.documentElement.getElementsByTagName("marker"); for (var i = 0; i < markers.length; i++) { var name = markers[i].getAttribute("name"); var address = markers[i].getAttribute("address"); var type = markers[i].getAttribute("type"); var point = new google.maps.LatLng( parseFloat(markers[i].getAttribute("lat")), parseFloat(markers[i].getAttribute("lng"))); var html = "<b>" + name + "</b> <br/>" + address; var icon = customIcons[type] || {}; var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ map: map, position: point, icon: icon.icon, shadow: icon.shadow }); bindInfoWindow(marker, map, infoWindow, html); } }); } function bindInfoWindow(marker, map, infoWindow, html) { google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'click', function() { infoWindow.setContent(html); infoWindow.open(map, marker); }); } function downloadUrl(url, callback) { var request = window.ActiveXObject ? new ActiveXObject('Microsoft.XMLHTTP') : new XMLHttpRequest; request.onreadystatechange = function() { if (request.readyState == 4) { request.onreadystatechange = doNothing; callback(request, request.status); } }; request.open('GET', url, true); request.send(null); } function doNothing() {} //]]> </script><!--Adobe Edge Runtime--> <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="map500x1000_edgePreload.js"></script> <style> .edgeLoad-EDGE-12956064 { visibility:hidden; } </style> <!--Adobe Edge Runtime End--> </head> <body onload="load()"> <div id="map" style="width: 1000px; height: 1000px;" class="edgeLoad-EDGE-12956064"></div> </body></html>

  • google maps api v3 - loop through overlays - overlayview methods

    - by user317005
    how can i loop through an array within the overlayview class? $(document).ready(function() { var overlay; var myLatlng = new google.maps.LatLng(51.501743,-0.140461); var myOptions = { zoom: 13, center: myLatlng, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP } var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById('map_canvas'), myOptions); OverlayTest.prototype = new google.maps.OverlayView(); var items = [ [51.501743,-0.140461], [51.506209,-0.146796], ]; for([loop])//loop through array { var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(items[i][0], items[i][1]); var bounds = new google.maps.LatLngBounds(latlng); overlay = new OverlayTest(map, bounds); var element_id = 'map_' + i; function OverlayTest(map, bounds) { this.bounds_ = bounds; this.map_ = map; this.div_ = null; this.setMap(map); } OverlayTest.prototype.onAdd = function() { var div = ''; this.div_ = div; var panes = this.getPanes(); panes.mapPane.innerHTML = div; } OverlayTest.prototype.draw = function() { var overlayProjection = this.getProjection(); var sw = overlayProjection.fromLatLngToDivPixel(this.bounds_.getSouthWest()); var ne = overlayProjection.fromLatLngToDivPixel(this.bounds_.getNorthEast()); var div = document.getElementById(element_id); div.style.left = sw.x + 'px'; div.style.top = ne.y + 'px'; } } }); the above code doesn't work, but when i manually assign a lat/lng to the overlayview class it magically works (see below)?! $(document).ready(function() { var overlay; var myLatlng = new google.maps.LatLng(51.501743,-0.140461); var myOptions = { zoom: 13, center: myLatlng, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP } var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById('map_canvas'), myOptions); OverlayTest.prototype = new google.maps.OverlayView(); var items = [ [51.501743,-0.140461], [51.506209,-0.146796], ]; var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(51.506209,-0.146796);//manually assign lat/lng var bounds = new google.maps.LatLngBounds(latlng); overlay = new OverlayTest(map, bounds); function OverlayTest(map, bounds) { this.bounds_ = bounds; this.map_ = map; this.div_ = null; this.setMap(map); } OverlayTest.prototype.onAdd = function() { var div = ''; this.div_ = div; var panes = this.getPanes(); panes.mapPane.innerHTML = div; } OverlayTest.prototype.draw = function() { var overlayProjection = this.getProjection(); var sw = overlayProjection.fromLatLngToDivPixel(this.bounds_.getSouthWest()); var ne = overlayProjection.fromLatLngToDivPixel(this.bounds_.getNorthEast()); var div = document.getElementById('map_1'); div.style.left = sw.x + 'px'; div.style.top = ne.y + 'px'; } });

  • WIX: How can I register a new ISAPI Extension or Script Map on an existing Web App or Site?

    - by Cheeso
    I've seen the WebApplicationExtension element, but because it must be a child of WebApplication, it appears to require the creation of a new WebApplication. I don't want that. I want to create the extension (or script map) on an existing website. On uninstall, the website should remain but the extension (script map entry) should be removed. Anyone know how to do this in WIX? If I get no good answers, I guess I will have to do it within script before InstallFinalize.

  • Play! - Expecting a stack map frame in method controllers

    - by Benny
    I am using the Security module for my Play! application and had it working at one point, but for some reason I did something to make it stop working. I am getting the following errors: Execution exception VerifyError occured : Expecting a stack map frame in method controllers.Secure$Security.authentify(Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;)Z at offset 33 In {module:secure}/app/controllers/Secure.java (around line 61) I saw the post below, but, even though I am using Java 7, it looks like Play! works ok with 7 now. • How to use map/reduce to handle more than 10000 unique keys for grouping in MongoDB?

    - by Magnus Johansson
    I am using MongoDB v1.4 and the mongodb-csharp driver and I try to group on a data store that has more than 10000 keys, so I get this error: assertion: group() can't handle more than 10000 unique keys using c# code like this: Document query = new Document().Append("group", new Document() .Append("key", new Document().Append("myfieldname", true)) .Append("$reduce", new CodeWScope( "function(obj,prev) { prev.count++; }")) .Append("initial", new Document().Append("count", 0)) .Append("ns", "myitems")); I read that I should use map/reduce, but I can't figure out how. Can somebody please shed some light on how to use map/reduce? Or is there any other way to get around this limitation? Thanks.

  • Can I manually map a file extension to an IFilter?

    - by Deane
    I'm working with Microsoft Indexing Service. I have purchased a third-party IFilter to extract XMP metadata from Adobe products. I'm having trouble getting it to work, and it occurs to me that the problem is that I don't actually have the Adobe software installed on my server, so the IFilters are not mapped. Put another way, there's nothing to tell the indexer that ".psd" files should use this DLL rather than the default DLL. Is it possible to manually map file extensions to the IFilter you want to use?

  • How to use Cassandra's Map Reduce with or w/o Pig?

    - by UltimateBrent
    Can someone explain how MapReduce works with Cassandra .6? I've read through the word count example, but I don't quite follow what's happening on the Cassandra end vs. the "client" end. https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/cassandra/trunk/contrib/word_count/ For instance, let's say I'm using Python and Pycassa, how would I load in a new map reduce function, and then call it? Does my map reduce function have to be java that's installed on the cassandra server? If so, how do I call it from Pycassa? There's also mention of Pig making this all easier, but I'm a complete Hadoop noob, so that didn't really help. Your answer can use Thrift or whatever, I just mentioned Pycassa to denote the client side. I'm just trying to understand the difference between what runs in the Cassandra cluster vs. the actual server making the requests.

  • How to map hash keys to methods for an encapsulated Ruby class (tableless model)?

    - by user502052
    I am using Ruby on Rails 3 and I am tryng to map a hash (key, value pairs) to an encapsulated Ruby class (tableless model) making the hash key as a class method that returns the value. In the model file I have class Users::Account #< ActiveRecord::Base def initialize(attributes = {}) @id = attributes[:id] @firstname = attributes[:firstname] @lastname = attributes[:lastname] end end def self.to_model(account) JSON.parse(account) end My hash is hash = {\"id\":2,\"firstname\":\"Name_test\",\"lastname\":\"Surname_test\"} I can make account = Users::Account.to_model(hash) that returns (debugging) --- id: 2 firstname: Name_test lastname: Surname_test That works, but if I do account.id I get this error NoMethodError in Users/accountsController#new undefined method `id' for #<Hash:0x00000104cda410> I think because <Hash:0x00000104cda410> is an hash (!) and not the class itself. Also I think that doing account = Users::Account.to_model(hash) is not the right approach. What is wrong? How can I "map" those hash keys to class methods?

  • Retrieve position of a google maps v3 marker to Qt in a desktop app with QtWebKit

    - by nelas
    I'm building a Qt app with Python where you can point and click at a (google) map and get the coordinates of the location. The map is shown through a QWebView loading a simple HTML page and the user can create markers by clicking. Screenshot of the widget after clicking on the map: However, I'm having trouble to retrieve the just-clicked location coordinates back to Qt (so that I can use them as variables -- and, for example, show them in the QLineEdits on the topleft corner above, as current location of the marker). This is the relevant part of the HTML file: <script type="text/javascript"> var map; function initialize() { var local = new google.maps.LatLng(-23.4,-40.3); var myOptions = { zoom: 5, center: local, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP } map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"), myOptions); google.maps.event.addListener(map, 'rightclick', function(event) { placeMarker(event.latLng); }); } function placeMarker(location) { var clickedLocation = new google.maps.LatLng(location); var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: location, map: map }); map.setCenter(location); } function dummyTxt() { return 'This works.'; } </script> I've been trying with evaluateJavaScript, but was not able to retrieve the coordinates. I tried to created a function to access the position with marker.getPosition(), but with no luck. The dummy below works though.. newplace = QWebView.page().mainFrame().evaluateJavaScript(QString('dummyTxt()')) >>> print newplace.toString() This works. Any suggestions on how to get the coordinates back to Qt?

  • Is there an equivalent in Scala to Python's more general map function?

    - by wheaties
    I know that Scala's Lists have a map implementation with signature (f: (A) => B):List[B] and a foreach implementation with signature (f: (A) => Unit):Unit but I'm looking for something that accepts multiple iterables the same way that the Python map accepts multiple iterables. I'm looking for something with a signature of (f: (A,B) => C, Iterable[A], Iterable[B] ):Iterable[C] or equivalent. Is there a library where this exists or a comparable way of doing similar?

  • How do I set a default page in Pylons?

    - by Evgeny
    I've created a new Pylons application and added a controller ("main.py") with a template ("index.mako"). Now the URL http://myserver/main/index works. How do I make this the default page, ie. the one returned when I browse to http://myserver/ ? I've already added a default route in routing.py: def make_map(): """Create, configure and return the routes Mapper""" map = Mapper(directory=config['pylons.paths']['controllers'], always_scan=config['debug']) map.minimization = False # The ErrorController route (handles 404/500 error pages); it should # likely stay at the top, ensuring it can always be resolved map.connect('/error/{action}', controller='error') map.connect('/error/{action}/{id}', controller='error') # CUSTOM ROUTES HERE map.connect('', controller='main', action='index') map.connect('/{controller}/{action}') map.connect('/{controller}/{action}/{id}') return map I've also deleted the contents of the public directory (except for favicon.ico), following the answer to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1279403/default-route-doesnt-work Now I just get error 404. What else do I need to do to get such a basic thing to work?

  • open layers LineString not working

    - by AlexS
    Sorry to bother you guys, but I'm stuck with his problem for half a day. I want to draw poly line in OpenLayers using LineString object, so I've copied the example from documentation. It runs ok but i can't see the line on the screen Code looks like this <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> var map; var lineLayer ; var points; var style; var polygonFeature function test() { lineLayer = new OpenLayers.Layer.Vector("Line Layer"); style = { strokeColor: '#0000ff', strokeOpacity: 1, strokeWidth: 10 }; map.addLayer(lineLayer); points = new Array(); points[0] =new OpenLayers.LonLat(-2.460181,27.333984 ).transform(new OpenLayers.Projection("EPSG:4326"), map.getProjectionObject());; points[1] = new OpenLayers.LonLat(-3.864255,-22.5 ).transform(new OpenLayers.Projection("EPSG:4326"), map.getProjectionObject());; var linear_ring = new OpenLayers.Geometry.LinearRing(points); polygonFeature = new OpenLayers.Feature.Vector( new OpenLayers.Geometry.Polygon([linear_ring]), null, style); lineLayer.addFeatures([polygonFeature]); alert("1"); } function initialize() { map = new OpenLayers.Map ("map_canvas", { controls:[ new OpenLayers.Control.Navigation(), new OpenLayers.Control.PanZoomBar(), new OpenLayers.Control.LayerSwitcher(), new OpenLayers.Control.Attribution()], maxExtent: new OpenLayers.Bounds(-20037508.34,-20037508.34,20037508.34,20037508.34), maxResolution: 156543.0399, numZoomLevels: 19, units: 'm', projection: new OpenLayers.Projection("EPSG:900913"), displayProjection: new OpenLayers.Projection("EPSG:4326") }); // Define the map layer // Here we use a predefined layer that will be kept up to date with URL changes layerMapnik = new OpenLayers.Layer.OSM.Mapnik("Mapnik"); map.addLayer(layerMapnik); var lonLat = new OpenLayers.LonLat(0, 0).transform(new OpenLayers.Projection("EPSG:4326"), map.getProjectionObject()); map.zoomTo(3); map.setCenter(lonLat, 19); test(); } </head> <body onload="initialize()" > <div id="map_canvas" style="width: 828px; height: 698px"></div> I'm sure I'm missing some parameter in creation of map or something but I really can't figure which one.

  • Idiomatic usage of filter, map, build-list and local functions in Racket/Scheme?

    - by Greenhorn
    I'm working through Exercise 21.2.3 of HtDP on my own and was wondering if this is idiomatic usage of the various functions. This is what I have so far: (define-struct ir (name price)) (define list-of-toys (list (make-ir 'doll 10) (make-ir 'robot 15) (make-ir 'ty 21) (make-ir 'cube 9))) ;; helper function (define (price< p toy) (cond [(< (ir-price toy) p) toy] [else empty])) (define (eliminate-exp ua lot) (cond [(empty? lot) empty] [else (filter ir? (map price< (build-list (length lot) (local ((define (f x) ua)) f)) lot))])) To my novice eyes, that seems pretty ugly because I have to define a local function to get build-list to work, since map requires two lists of equal length. Can this be improved for readability? Thank you.

  • Modifying a gedit syntax highlighting file

    - by Oscar Saleta Reig
    I am trying to change a highlighting file from Gedit. I have modified the file /usr/share/gtksourceview-3.0/language-specs/fortran.lang because I want to change the cases in which the editor takes a statement as a comment. The problem I have is that when I choose the new highlighting scheme nothing highlights, it just remains as plain text. The file fortran.lang was opened with su permissions and I just copy-pasted everything into a new Gedit file and later saved it as fortran_enhanced.lang in the same folder. The changes I've done to the original file are these: Original fortran.lang file: <language id="fortran" _name="Fortran 95" version="2.0" _section="Sources"> <metadata> <property name="mimetypes">text/x-fortran</property> <property name="globs">*.f;*.f90;*.f95;*.for</property> <property name="line-comment-start">!</property> </metadata> <styles> <style id="comment" _name="Comment" map-to="def:comment"/> <style id="floating-point" _name="Floating Point" map-to="def:floating-point"/> <style id="keyword" _name="Keyword" map-to="def:keyword"/> <style id="intrinsic" _name="Intrinsic function" map-to="def:builtin"/> <style id="boz-literal" _name="BOZ Literal" map-to="def:base-n-integer"/> <style id="decimal" _name="Decimal" map-to="def:decimal"/> <style id="type" _name="Data Type" map-to="def:type"/> </styles> <default-regex-options case-sensitive="false"/> <definitions> <!-- Note: contains an hack to avoid considering ^COMMON a comment --> <context id="line-comment" style-ref="comment" end-at-line-end="true" class="comment" class-disabled="no-spell-check"> <start>!|(^[Cc](\b|[^OoAaYy]))</start> <include> <context ref="def:escape"/> <context ref="def:in-line-comment"/> </include> </context> (...) Modified fortran_enhanced.lang file: <!-- Note: changed language id and name --> <language id="fortran_enhanced" _name="Fortran 95 2.0" version="2.0" _section="Sources"> <metadata> <property name="mimetypes">text/x-fortran</property> <!-- Note: removed *.f and *.for from file extensions --> <property name="globs">*.f90;*.f95;</property> <property name="line-comment-start">!</property> </metadata> <styles> <style id="comment" _name="Comment" map-to="def:comment"/> <style id="floating-point" _name="Floating Point" map-to="def:floating-point"/> <style id="keyword" _name="Keyword" map-to="def:keyword"/> <style id="intrinsic" _name="Intrinsic function" map-to="def:builtin"/> <style id="boz-literal" _name="BOZ Literal" map-to="def:base-n-integer"/> <style id="decimal" _name="Decimal" map-to="def:decimal"/> <style id="type" _name="Data Type" map-to="def:type"/> </styles> <default-regex-options case-sensitive="false"/> <definitions> <!-- Note: I want comments only beginning with !, not C --> <context id="line-comment" style-ref="comment" end-at-line-end="true" class="comment" class-disabled="no-spell-check"> <start>!</start> <include> <context ref="def:escape"/> <context ref="def:in-line-comment"/> </include> </context> (...) I have read this question [ Custom gedit Syntax Highlighting for Dummies? ] and I tried to make the new fortran_enhanced.lang file readable with $ cd /usr/share/gtksourceview-3.0/language-specs $ sudo chmod 0644 fortran_enhanced.lang but it doesn't seem that made some difference. I have to say that I have never done a thing like this before and I don't even understand most of the language file, so I am open to every criticism, as I have been guided purely by intuition. Thank you in advanced!

  • iPhone: Use a view as a transparent overlay with closing button

    - by axooh
    I've got a map with three bar buttons for different markers to show up in the map. If I click on a bar button, the specific markers are shown in the map, which already works great. Now I would like to show a transparent overlay (popup window) with the description of the markers after I clicked on a bar button with a button to close the overlay again and show the markers (which are set in the background). The function of the bar button: - (IBAction)routeTwo:(id)sender { // The code for the overlay // ... // remove any annotations that exist [map removeAnnotations:map.annotations]; // Add any annotations which belongs to route 2 [map addAnnotation:[self.mapAnnotations objectAtIndex:2]]; [map addAnnotation:[self.mapAnnotations objectAtIndex:3]]; [map addAnnotation:[self.mapAnnotations objectAtIndex:4]]; [map addAnnotation:[self.mapAnnotations objectAtIndex:5]]; } I tried the following possibilities: 1. Using a modal view controller RouteDescriptionViewController *routeDescriptionView = [[RouteDescriptionViewController alloc] init]; [self presentModalViewController:routeDescriptionView animated:YES]; [routeDescriptionView release]; Works great, but the problem is: The map view in the background is not visible anymore (configuring alpha values of the modal view doesn't change anything). 2. Add RouteDescriptionView as a subview RouteDescriptionViewController *routeDescriptionView = [[RouteDescriptionViewController alloc] init]; [self.view addSubview:routeDescriptionView.view]; [routeDescriptionView release]; Works great as well, but the problem here is: I can't configure a close button on the subview to close/remove the subview (RouteDescriptionView). 3. Using UIAlertView Would work as expected, but the UIAlert is not really customizable and therefore not suitable for my needs. Any ideas how to achieve this?

  • Tutorial for texture mapping a map onto an Open GL ES sphere?

    - by hotpaw2
    I'm not looking for a library or even open source code. I want to learn how to do this on my own. Where do I start to find an online tutorial, a book chapter, or other educational material for generating a polygonal model of a 3D sphere suitable for feeding to Open GL ES on an iPhone, and then mapping the polygons to some sort of 2D map data so I can texture map the sphere? Is there some sort of software tool (blenders? mayan?) with a tutorial on how to do generate this data? Where is the best place to start?

  • Can hitTestPoint be used with local coordinates at all?

    - by mars
    In AS3 I have a game where a vehicle rotates to the direction of the cursor, but when it "moves", its sprite stays stationary in the middle of the stage while the map layer below it actually moves, causing the illusion of movement of the vehicle on the map. There are obstacles on the map that the vehicle cannot pass. The obstacles are in a movie clip that is a part of the map layer and move with it. hitTestPoint seems only to be able to check if the obstacle clip is touching points on the stage rather than points on the map, meaning that I cannot feed it the same coordinates I use to check the map boundaries, which are points on the map. I don't think I can use localToGlobal because the function I use to check obstacle collisions does not have access to a reference to the obstacle movie clip. Is there a way in these conditions to force hitTestPoint to use its local coordinate system on the map? I have included a diagram:

  • Windows 2003 Server - Can I map a folder to another folder on the same server?

    - by TheCleaner
    Scenario: I have a server that was running low on space. We have an external iscsi SAN that it now has a LUN on and connected to the server as E:\ We are moving the PHOTOS folder from the old location on D:\ to the new E:. That new drive is being shared out as "ARCHIVE". So: \server\shared\photos now becomes \server\archive\photos I can easily place a shortcut in the original location saying "DOUBLE CLICK HERE FOR THE PHOTOS", but it isn't ideal. What I'd like is to be able to have \server\shared\photos simply point to \server\archive\photos. So that if someone wants to map a drive to \server\shared and then browse to the photos folder once in there they will see what is in the \server\archive\photos location. Is that possible? I was thinking about SUBST or DFS, but I don't think either of those will do it.

  • return ArrayList from spring controller for ajax call and render in second dropdown

    - by user1708125
    I've a spring bean with 3 Maps all of which are to be populated incrementally. First map is an item category list, second map is a product list and third map is a hobby for item type list All the maps are mapped to and on the JSP. When the page is loaded only the first map is populated on the onchange event of first map, I need to populate the second map in the bean and similarly on the onchange event of second map, I need to populate the third map in the bean. Is there a way to do this using Ajax?? I need some code samples to how to render JSON response in second and third dropdown. Clarification: @Donal: I have a simple JSP page with 3 dropdowns corresponding to 3 maps stored in my commandBean. So when the page loads for the first time only the first map and hence the first dropdown is populated. Now whenever the user selects anything out of the first dropdown, I need to send the same commandbean back with the values of the first dropdown and get the values for the second map and hence the second dropdown and so forth for the 3rd dropdown as well. For each dropdown I 've got 3 maps and 3 variables for storing the selected values. Now I want to understand if this is possible using Ajax. I hope this clarifies whatever you need to know. Thanx
