  Disclaimer: kindly right click on the images and open them separately so that they're at full size, as there are fine details which don't show up otherwise. Thank you. I made a simple Blender model, it's a cylinder with the top cap removed: I've exported the UVs: Then imported them into Photoshop, and painted the inner area in yellow and the outer area in red. I made sure I cover well the UV lines: I then save the image and load it as texture on the model in Blender. Actually, I just reload it as the image where the UVs are exported, and change the viewport view mode to textured. When I look at the mesh up-close, there's yellow everywhere, everything seems fine: However, if I start zooming out, I start seeing red (literally and metaphorically) where the texture edges are: And the more I zoom, the more I see it: Same thing happends in Unity, though the effect seems less pronounced. Up close is fine and yellow: Zoom out and you see red at the seams: Now, obviously, for this simple example a workaround is to spread the yellow well outside the UV margins, and its fine from all distances. However this is an issue when you try making a complex texture that should tile seamlessly at the edges. In this situation I either make a few lines of pixels overlap (in which case it looks bad from upclose and ok from far away), or I leave them seamless and then I have those seams when seeing it from far away. So my question is, is there something I'm missing, or some extra thing I must do to have my texture look seamless from all distances?

  I was thinking about implementing RSS feeds on my site. The one thing that came to mind is Are RSS feeds ever used?! I don't use them nor know anyone who does. I know to use them it must be through an rss feed program or built in with the browser. I like my browser clean and i know many ppl dont know how to use/configure their browser. So with my thoughts i deducted that rss are not used 99.9999% of people (thats 4 decimal places which is really saying something). Now twitter on the other hand or even email may be used. But I have doubts about rss feeds. Can anyone give me statistics or change my mind on implementing it? I suspect it would be simple but i dont think i should bother if no one will ever use it. I dont even use SE/SO RSS feeds.

  I want to route all incoming emails for local domains only to a single account if an account is not setup for that user. I would also like each email to be written in it's own file in user folder. I have a catchall user with /home/catchall/ path where I have a mail folder made for this but so far emails wither fail to deliver (thus my rule did not work) or they do deliver to /etc/mail/catchall file.   My sound card stopped working after a set of updates were installed 2 days ago. Kernal driver is attached. So whats gone pop ? I will boot from CD to check - but I am pretty sure this is a sw and not a hw problem.

My Excel ability is better than my Python, but I think I'd still benefit from the sort of inductive learning that comes with solving a series of increasingly difficult puzzles using a particular tool. I know Project Euler can be completed using Excel, but are there any other puzzle series similar to this or The Python Challenge specifically tailored for people trying to increase their knowledge of Excel and what it can do? • Blank screen after GRUB (64 bit) - cannot install Ubuntu

  My laptop's specs: Lenovo IdeaPad Z570 Intel Core i5-2410M @ 2.3Ghz 6 Gb RAM DDR3 640 Gb ATAPI Hard-disk Drive @ 5,200 RPM NVIDIA GeForce G520M with Optimus switching technology Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter REALTEK soundcard Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit I downloaded Ubuntu Studio 11.04 and burned the iso image onto two different DVDs, using two different programs (one DVD is RW, the other is just R). I verified the hash MD5sum thing. I get as far as GRUB with the 4 options (install, advanced install, disk verification, system rescue) but no matter which one I select, I get a blank screen and nothing happens. The DVD drive spins down after about 30 seconds. Also just before the GRUB screen I get a message saying Error: "Prefix" is not set. I'm not sure if that's relevant. I have tried all the options using both DVDs. Same thing happens. I have changed the graphics setting in BIOS to UMA or Optimus, but still happens either way. I've tried booting with the wireless switch turned off, same thing happens. I downloaded 'vanilla' Ubuntu 64-bit and burned onto a CD, and the same thing happens. I have downloaded Ubuntu 32-bit and I am able to boot from the live CD (interestingly the wireless card won't work, but that's maybe another issue). I have searched extensively through these forums and other sites but I can't see anything that will help me. Is there something I'm missing? I'd really appreciate help on this. The laptop is less than 2 weeks old. I was so looking forward to getting Ubuntu Studio up and running. I've gone about as far as my technical abilities will allow.

To support this, we are looking to consolidate business logic into a single place: a web service layer.
