My code : EntityKey key; object originalItem; key = this._modelContainer.CreateEntityKey("Customers", customer); if (this._modelContainer.TryGetObjectByKey(key, out originalItem)) { this._modelContainer.ApplyCurrentValues(key.EntitySetName, customer); } this._modelContainer.SaveChanges(); It works for Scalar Property only.   I'm having trouble adding an Entity Framework entity to a ObjectContext's EntitySet automatically using the WPF 4.0 DataGrid's add functionality. Here's the setup: DataGrid--BoundTo--ListCollectionView--BoundTo--EntitySet When I interactively add a row to the DataGrid, the EntitySet does not have a new entity added to it. Updating the row's cell data does in fact update the bound entity's properties, however. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

  If a smart device project is set to target CF 2.0, Windows CE 5.0, should this same application run on Windows Mobile 6 with CF 3.5 installed? I was able to install it (the CF 2 app), but when running received an error stating that the assemblies could not be loaded and that CF might not be installed. This has led me to belive that smart device projects wil ONLY work on the framework they target, not any versions lower or greater. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can see that generating SQL (delta) script files is an option, but is there no way of running the migrations programmatically on app start up? I structured the solution in 4 projects: POCO entities Domain model Services web application When the application performs a query on the database, use one of the services provided, the service uses the repository and the small classes, as a result I have some dynamic proxy objects that I would like to convert in my domain entities, before using them in mvc views, but I do not know how. Dovrebber be set as the translator? This approach is reasonable?
