    Hello, i often work on private projects using the WinApi, and as you might know, it has thousands of named and typedefed structs like MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION. I will stick to this one in my question, what still is preferred, or better when you want to name a variable of this type. Is there some kind of style guide for this case? For example if i need that variable for the VirtualQueryEx function. Some ideas: MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION memoryBasicInformation; MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION memory_basic_information; Just use the name of the struct non captialized and with or without the underlines. MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION basicInformation; MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION information; Short form? MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION mbi; I often see this style, using the abbreviation of the struct name. MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION buffer; VirtualQueryEx defines the third parameter lpBuffer (where you pass the pointer to the struct), so using this name might be an idea, too. Cheers

    In my program I have a dataTable and I´d like to know if is there a column which name starts with abc. For example I have a DataTable and its name is abcdef. I like to find this column using something like this: DataTable.Columns.Constains(ColumnName.StartWith(abc)) Because I know only part of the column name, I cannot use a Contains method.   • Can Gitosis enforce correct user name/email?

    Gitosis is able to authenticate users based on public/private key pair. It is able to find out which user is currently committing. However, the user name and email is taken from the client's Git configuration ('git config user.name' etc.), which can be set to arbitrary values. Is there any way to associate user names and emails with their public keys and then make Gitosis uses these names and emails as the name and email of the committer? I do not care if I will use Gitosis or WebDAV or some other alternative to share the repository. It just seems to me that none of the available methods supports this enforcement of using some kind of "correct" user name and email. If there exists some alternative, please tell me about it.

    What i'm trying to do is add a new variable to this previously created Managed Bean Hello.java and use it in my xhtml file binding to a text field. But it seems that it is not being found when i run it on the server. So it throws a "ServeletException" and says that the "property 'lname'(my variable) is not found". How do i solve this and why is this happening?   • How can I get the fully qualified name of an assembly from it's basic name?

    I'm currently writing a custom forms application that allows a user to design a data capture form. I store the field's ControlType and ControlAssembly in the database and then create them on the forms at runtime. For example: ControlType = `System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox`. ControlAssembly= `System.Web`. So I can therefor create a fully qualified name and create the control doing the following: string target = Assembly.CreateQualifiedName("System.Web", field.ControlType); Type type = Type.GetType(target); Control control = Activator.CreateInstance(type) as Control; But, this will cause an error as "System.Web" is not a valid assembly name. The assembly name itself has to be fully qualified, i.e. System.Web.Extensions would be: "System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" Is there any way I can get the fully qualified name of the assembly System.Web without having to store the entirity of the version, culture and PKT?

Is there a better way of handling these name/value pairs? Are there any helper functions that come with MATLAB to assist?

In the section that needs special handling I need to iterate over 3 form fields that have the same name. They have to have the same name, I can't change it.   • youtube video downloaed succesfully on local, but on server(online) only 0 byte flv is downloading

    i m using php tube class to download youtube video. Video is automatically downloaded in a folder by submitting youtube video url. everything is working fine on local (XAMPP), but when i upload this to server(online), THEN ONLY 0 byte flv file is saved. i also debug the code both side( local and global ). i get the url like this( on local) http://www.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=1jNWCFwqPvM&=vjVQa1PpcFMyYCECyfmYENWklpwXGyhVgJpSFPgNAEc%3D whereas on server i got link like this http://www.youtube.com/ get_video?video_id=1jNWCFwqPvM&t=vjVQa1PpcFNS3SPxIXi8hy-NF4qZFFrScDXCjGLLrLc%3D when i copy the link getting from local and paste on browser then a download box appear on browser, whereas when i copy the link getting from server and paste on browser then only a blank page appears please solve my problem, where is the error??? how to know that pear is installed or not on server? on server side sometimes i get link like http://www.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=1jNWCFwqPvM&t=vjVQa1PpcFNS3SPxIXi8hy-NF4qZFFrScDXCjGLLrLc%3D but sometimes i get only http://www.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=&t= please guide me how to solve these?   • Finding Windows printer driver name using API

    I can't seem to find an API call that returns the driver name for a Windows printer. Note that I'm not talking about the friendly name of the printer in the printer folder, I'm talking about the name of actual driver being used as shown on the "Advanced" tab when you look at the printer properties: I'm trying to detect when I'm printing to the "Generic / Text Only" driver regardless of what name the user chooses for the printer. It doesn't seem like this should be hard, but I can't find it in the DEVMODE structure or anyplace else I've thought to look for it. Thanks for the help!

  • Trouble tunneling my local Wordpress install to the mysql database on appfog

    I've set up a wordpress install on appfog (using rackspace), and cloned the install to my local machine for development. I know the install works (using MAMP) because I created a local mysql database and changed wp-config.php to point to it. However, I want to develop without having to change wp-config.php every time I commit. After doing some research, it seems like the Appfog service Caldecott lets me tunnel into the mysql database on the server, using af tunnel. Unfortunately, I'm having issues with getting it working. Even if I change my MAMP mysql port to something like 8889, and tunnel mysql through port 3306, it looks like it's connected but I still get "Error establishing a database connection" when loading my localhost Wordpress. When I quit the mysql monitor (using ctrl+x, ctrl+c), I get a message stating "Error: 'mysql' execution failed; is it in your $PATH?'. Originally, no, it wasn't, but I've fixed my PATH variable on my local machine so that when I go to Terminal and just type mysql, it loads up. So I guess my question is 2 parts: 1.)Am I going with the right approach for Wordpress development on my local machine and 2.)If so, why is the tunnel not working?
