  • How can you Merge sort a .Net framework LinkedList (of T)

    There's a few questions discussing Merge sorting a LinkedList, but how can I do it with the C# LinkedList? Since the LinkedListNode Next and Previous properties are read-only most of the in-place algorithms I've come across are not possible. I've resorted to removing all the nodes, sorting them with a .OrderBy(node = node.Value) and then re-inserting them into the Linked list, but it's fairly crude.

I'd like something that works regardless of the position of the parenthesis in the text (beginning, middle, end, whatever).   • Cocoa : Once and for all, how to really reset the standardUserDefaults

    I tried using -resetStandardUserDefaults, I tried removing the plist file, none of those really do what I need. I want to reset my preferences completely, as if the app re-installed. Is there a good solution to this? I tried : NSString *appDomain = [[NSBundle mainBundle] bundleIdentifier]; [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] removePersistentDomainForName:appDomain]; But Xcode complains. Apparently, it doesn't like that the plist file has disappeared.

    How do I remove duplicate characters and keep the uniq one only. Ex. My input is EFUAHUU UUUEUUUUH UJUJHHACDEFUCU Expected output is EFUAH UEH UJHACDEF I cam across perl -pe's/$1//gwhile/(.).*\/' which is wonderful but it is removing even the single occurence of the character in output.   • <object> pasted into textarea is removed... why?

    I have a textarea that saves data into a database. For some reason it is removing <object> tags from anything that I paste into it -- none of the other tags are removed, only <object> tags. I've never had this problem before and have done this same thing in times past -- any ideas as to what could cause this? I'm not filtering the data before it's saved to the db at all.

  • Disable Dojo validation on certain fields

    I would like to disable client side validation on certain fields in my user form. Currently I have two sets of fields that are displayed depending on the value of a previous drop down list. i.e. if the drop down list is set to value "A" 1 new field appears in the form. If the drop down list is set to value "B" 3 new fields appear in the form (mutually exclusive from the new form field when "A" is selected). Currently my Dojo client side validation fails because the fields that are not shown to the user (and thus no data can be inserted into those fields) fails to validate. Currently I determined that I can set the "validate" attribute to return true like so: <input type="text" id="companycity" name="companycity" class="textinput" value="<?php echo set_value('companycity'); ?>" style="<?php if(isset($errorData['companycity'])){echo $errorData['companycity'];} ?>" dojotype="dijit.form.ValidationTextBox" required="true" trim="true" validate='return true'" regexp="([a-zA-Z]{1,25})" invalidMessage="Invalid value. Must be between 1 and 25 alphabetic characters long."> This fixes my issue for hidden fields. However this now means that no validation is performed when this field becomes visible to the user (i.e. the validate attribute is still set to return true). I have tried removing the validate property when a field is displayed to the user like so: dijit.byId('companycode').attr('validate',''); This just set the attribute to nothing. This however gives errors in firebug saying validate method not found, so I take that to mean I did not remove this attribute correctly or removing this attribute is not the appropriate way to do this. I have also looked at overriding the validator method here but this doesnt seem like what I want either. I do not want to have to rewrite all the validation methods in place of dojo's. I just want dojo not to validate if the field is not visible to the user. Thanks for any advice or help.

    Hi, im just writing my own replace method for any weird characters and i used the ASCI value 0, null to replace unwanted characters, i was hoping for them to be 'deleted', but this doesnt work. A gap just appears in the string. What exactly does String.Replace() do when removing a character for ""? Does it shift them all down and then 'delete' the final character or something?

    according to some tutorials i read a while back, the "const" declaration makes a variable "constant" ie it cannot change later. But i find this const declaration abit inconveniencing since the compiler sometimes gives errors like "cannot convert const int to int" or something like that. and i find myself cheating by removing it anyway. question: assuming that i am careful about not changing a variable in my source code, can i happily forget about this const stuff? I have the following: NSPersistentStoreCoordinator NSManagedObjectContext NSManagedObjectModel Is it possible to run queries directly on the store (since its a sqlite DB)? I'm trying to delete all the records from a tableview, and figured a "DELETE FROM table" would be nice and quick as opposed to looping through the records and removing them manually (which i'm also struggling with).   • Android Mock Location locks GPS on status bar

    I created an app that uses mock locations to insert GPS coordinates. After removing the test provider via: mLocationManager.clearTestProviderLocation(mocLocationProvider); mLocationManager.removeTestProvider(mocLocationProvider); mLocationManager.removeUpdates(mLocationListener); When I launch google maps for example after exiting the app the GPS location is found and then never goes away. "Location Set By GPS" always remains on the notification bar even though my app is ended. Any ideas?

  • Java split is eating my characters.

    Hi, I have a string like this String str = "la$le\$li$lo". I want to split it to get the following output "la","le\$li","lo". The \$ is a $ escaped so it should be left in the output. But when I do str.split("[^\\\\]\\$") y get "l","le\$l","lo". From what I get my regex is matching a$ and i$ and removing then. Any idea of how to get my characters back? Thanks

    I'm using org.w3c XML API to open an existing XML file. I'm removing some nodes , and I'm adding others instead . The problem is that the new nodes that are added are written one after another , with no newline and no indentation what so ever. While it's true that the XML file is valid , it is very hard for a human to examnine it. Is there anyway to add indentation , or at least a newline after each node ?

    If I have a class that contains a std::list<Foo>, how can I implement iterators to a Foo* collection, preferably without using boost? I'd rather not maintain a parallel collection of pointers. For now I have std::list<Foo>, mostly so that removing or inserting an element does not invalidate all other iterators, but would it be possible to implement other iterators too, so that the collection type used in the implementation is opaque to the user of the class?
