Mar.xlsx Name Mar A 1.3 B 3.4 C 5.5 I need to combine them like 1. Main.xlsx Name Jan Feb Mar A 3.3 1.3 1.3 B 6.4 3.4 3.4 C 5.3 5.5 5.5 And i need to automate the process...   • Saving a huge dataset into SQL table in a XML column - MS SQL, C#.Net

    Hello all I'm having a requirement where i've to save a dataset which has multiple tables in it in a sql table XML column by converting into an XML. The problem is that in some cases the dataset grows extremely huge and i get OutOfMemoryException. What i basically do is that i convert the dataset into an xml file and save it in the local disk and then load the XML again and send it as a stored procedure parameter. But when i write the dataset xml into the disk the file sizes over 700 Mb and when i load it in the XMLDocument object in memory i get OutOfMemoryException. How can get the dataset xml without saving it in a file and re-reading it again? Thank You NLV

    Dear people, I've created a Java program with which I can retrieve mail from an Exchange mailserver. Problem is: the mail is in EML format and I need the MSG format! Right now I'm retrieving mail through the web access part of Exchange, using the Apache Slide project... is it possible at all to use java to retrieve msg files from an Exchange server? I've seen examples of C# code, .NET code etc.. isn't it possible somehow to integrate these pieces of code with Java so I can use it to retrieve mail? Greets, Cesar

    Regarding to SQL performance. I have Scalar-Valued function for checking some specific condition in base, It returns BIT value True or False, I now do not know how I should fill @BIT parameter If I write. set @bit = convert(bit,1) or set @bit = 1 or set @bit='true' Function will work anyway but I do not know which method is recommended for daily use. Another Question, I have table in my base with around 4 million records, Daily insert is about 4K records in that table. Now I want to add CONSTRAINT on that table whit scalar valued function that I mentioned already Something like this ALTER TABLE fin_stavke ADD CONSTRAINT fin_stavke_knjizenje CHECK ( dbo.fn_ado_chk_fin(id)=convert(bit,1)) Where is filed "id" primary key of table fin_stavke and dbo.fn_ado_chk_fin looks like create FUNCTION fn_ado_chk_fin ( @stavka_id int ) RETURNS bit AS BEGIN declare @bit bit if exists (select * from fin_stavke where id=@stavka_id and doc_id is null and protocol_id is null) begin set @bit=0 end else begin set @bit=1 end return @bit; END GO Will this type and method of cheeking constraint will affect badly performance on my table and SQL at all ? If there is also better way to add control on this table please let me know.

I have add tasks to different list and on the top, I have to have count of these tasks such as: X Tasks: 2 of 5 Y Tasks: 3 of 5 X Tasks: X Task 1 X Task 2 Y Tasks: Y Task 1 Y Task 2 Y Task 3 I don't want write code in .NET etc. Is there anyway to script outlook to update numbers above when I change the list contents automatically.     In the intent of preventing XSS attacks, I am updating a page in which we have a textbox that accepts HTML, stores it in a database and retrieves and renders it at a later time. My understanding is that I can sanitize the HTML using AntiXSS.GetSafeHtmlFragment() method. As long as I do this before storing the HTML in the database, am I covered? Do I need to do anything when the HTML is outputted on a web page? Also, it appears that the white list is kind of a black box. Is there a way to update this based on our requirements?

  • How to implement multi relationship in MS SQL?

    I’m trying to design a database to use with ASP.net MVC application. Here is the scenario: There are three entities and users can post their comments for each of these different entities. I just wonder how just put one table for Comments and link all other entities to it. Obviously, Comments table needs 3 references (foreign key) to those tables but as you know these foreign keys can’t be null and just one of them can be filled for each row. Is there any better way than implementing three different tables for each entity’s comments? Cheers Ethan

    Hi, I'm querying an SQL Server database using SQLAlchemy and need to cast a column to varbinary(max). The thing I am struggling with is the "max" part. I can get the cast to work for any actual number (say varbinary(20)), but I cannot find how to get it to work for the "max" size of the varbinary column. Any pointers? Links? Solutions?   • Counting consecutive items within MS SQL

    Got a problem with a query I'm trying to write. I have a table that lists people that have been sent an email. There is a bit column named Active which is set to true if they have responded. But I need to count the number of consecutive emails the person has been inactive since either their first email or last active email. For example, this basic table shows one person has been sent 9 emails. They have been active within two of the emails (3 & 5). So their inactive count would be 4 as we are counting from email number 6 onwards. PersonID(int) EmailID(int) Active(bit) 1 1 0 1 2 0 1 3 1 1 4 0 1 5 1 1 6 0 1 7 0 1 8 0 1 9 0 Any pointers or help would be great. Regards Greg

We're actively developing a new product and as such we often have additions or changes to our DB schema. We also have many copies of the DB -- one for the test environment, one for the prod environment, dev environments, you name it. We don't really want to have to blow away test data every time we want to make a change to the DB. s Are there good ways of automating this or handling this? None of us have really ever had to deal with this so...

  • How entity edit URL from within plug-in in MS Dyanmics CRM 4.0

    I would like to have a workflow create a task, then email the assigned user that they have a new task and include a link to the newly created task in the body of the email. I have client side code that will correctly create the edit URL, using the entities GUID and stores it in a custom attribute. However, when the task is created from within a workflow, the client script isn't run. So, I think a plug-in should work, but I can't figure out how to determine the URL of the CRM installation. I'm authoring this in a test environment and definitely don't want to have to change things when I move to production. I'm sure I could use a config file, but seems like the plug-in should be able to figure this out at runtime. Anyone have any ideas how to access the URL of the crm service from within a plug-in? Any other ideas? Thanks!

  • How to select a names from a column MS Excel 2007

    Hey guys, I have an Excel document which has a list of students and their group names. I have another sheet within the the same excel document which is called comments. In this sheet, I would like to have a list of individual team names listed. There are 65 students and 14 defined groups. Is there a way to select the 14 group names, without repitition? Cell B3-B67 have the student names. Cell C3-C67 have the team names. The team names are entered against each student. I know in SQL I could use something like select distinct(team_name) but in Excel, how can I replicate this? Cheers, Alks.
