  • How to stop split tunnelling over cisco VPN (OS X)?

    I'm using OS X (Snow Leopard) and the built in Cisco IP Sec client to connect to my corporate VPN. Currently, everything works as designed, and desired for most people. However, I would like to be able to funnel all traffic (particularly all web browser traffic) through the VPN. (Note - I'm an end user here, not the network administrator). Is this possible? In searching around, most people are looking to do the opposite; break out the VPN and enable split tunnelling of data. I'd like to avoid the split tunnelling. Is there some setting I can make in my OS X client to make this happen? I ran across a post where routing table changes are made to force split tunnelling: how to force split tunnel routing on mac -> cisco vpn I'm thinking something similar to that might work, but I'm not a networking expert so I'm not sure where to start (or if it is even possible).   • jqGrid filtering on the client-side using "filterToolbar"

    Hi guys, I have to add filtering to a jqGrid that is completely managed on the client side (data is only loaded once from the server). I need to use filterToolbar in order to filter the grid data, but couldn't find info if there is a default search mechanism on the client side. Is a server-side search the only way to do this?   • MetadataType, inherited properties and client validation in ASP.NET MVC 2

    Inherited properties and MetadataType does not seem to work with client side validation in ASP.NET MVC 2. The validation of our MetadataTypes work as expected on the server but for some reason it does not generate the appropriate client scripts for it. Client side validation kicks in as expected for properties with the DataAnnotations attributes set on the PersonView so I know that client side validation is active and that it works. Does anyone know if or how it can be fixed?     Has anyone ever had to run performance tests on a ClickOnce application? I have engaged with a vendor who had trouble setting up their toolset with our software because it is Smart Client based. They are understandably more geared toward purely browser-based applications. I wonder if anyone has had to tackle this before and if so would you recommend any vendors who use industry standard tools such as Load Runner (which i assume can handle the smart client)? Thanks

    I'm trying to implement Sun Tutorials RMI application that calculates Pi. I'm having some serious problems and I cant find the solution eventhough I've been searching the entire web and several javaskilled people. I'm hoping you can put an end to my frustrations. The crazy thing is that I can run the application from the cmd on my desktop computer.     I need to update existing data or insert new data from client database say DB1 into central database say DB2 both holding same schema and both databases reside in same machine. The updates are not biderectional. I just want changes to be reflected from client(DB1) to server(DB2). How do i achieve this using C# .NET ? Can anyone provide an example ?

    Hi, does anyone know of a very simple SQL Server client tool - that does the same basic functions as Management Studio (i.e. choose a database and run a query - doesn't need an Object Explorer, or anything fancy)? Ideally it would be great to have a single exe or zip file version that I could take around on a USB key - anything to avoid installing the full set of SQL Server client tools all the time! Basically I would like to use SQL Data Services REST interface and let the ADO.NET Data Service Client library handle communication details and generate the entities that I can use. I looked at the samples in February release of Azure services kit but the samples in there are using HttpWebRequest and HttpWebResponse to consume SQL Data Services RESTfully. I was hoping to use ADO.NET Data Service Client library to abstract low-level details away.
