  This question already has an answer here: What are the most important things I need to do to encourage Google Sitelinks? 5 answers I run a Wordpress 3.7.1–de_DE sit, but don't have much experience with it yet. When my site comes up in a Google search, there are 2 links displayed underneath: I believe these links are called "Google sitemap" and my question is how to configure them in Wordpress. Because while the right link is pointing to the /ueber-mich URL at the website, the left link was pointing to an non-existing /imprint and I had to add that webpage as a workaround for now. And I'd like to change the /imprint to German /impressum anyway (currently I use mod_rewrite to redirect).

So I did low level formatting of my All PC's and Installed Ubuntu. So can they track I installed pirated windows xp earlier on these system or I need to change hardware.. After formatting on what parameter Microsoft Track earlier piracy: 1) By any Harddisk ID 2) By any Motherboard ID 3) By any IP Address Please help me otherwise I have to borrow so much money for licensing fee.   There are more than 10 categories in my site, users can register more than one category. My php script prepare contents of each category, according to user preference my script merge those contents for each user. so every user can get what category they want. Problem is I want to send 340+ mails per hour and dreamhost dont allow. What do you suggest? I think to a service like mailchimp but I couldnt find that scenario, do they support category & content etc. Can I use smtp in dreamhost?

• Results stored in a session - good idea?

  To give a bit of background, lets say it's a generic results page, which is paginated so there are X results per page. Generally to do this, I have two queries on the page: to get the total number of results to get the results, limiting by the correct page's resultset However, recently I've been trying to cut down on the queries the site is making, and I thought one way to do this would be to only do the query if any parameters to the page have changed (except of course the page number)? This would then cache all the result id's in a session, which can be sliced when I need to return the correct resultset for that page. I was trying to look around the net to see if there are downsides of this method, but I've found very little information about it. Has anyone done this before? Is it a good idea?

  I'm currently using godaddy for all of my company domains, and I'm very unsatisfied with their service, specially with their site, so we are trying to migrate those domains to another provider. The question is, How do I transfer my domains to another domain registrar? I'm not talking about transferring domain records (A, MX...) but to use the same domains with another provider, and redo all the configuration again. For example, one of our blogs is hosted in Slicehost and we feel very confortable with their record editing tool. • Will Ubuntu be releasing an update for Cedar Trail Processors?

  There is a file available on the Intel web site with the file name "cdv-gfx-drivers-1.0.1_bee.tar.bz2" and a date of July 6, 2012. It can be found by searching the Intel Download Center for the filename or the string "Linux* PowerVR Graphics/Media Drivers". The download page links to the file, release notes and a link, Enabling hardware accelerated playback that takes one to a page containing links to two pdf documents titled "Enabling Hardware Accelerated Playback for Intel® AtomTM Processor N2000/D2000 Series", one for Ubuntu and one for Fedora. The instruction and release notes speak to working with kernel 3.1.0 and since I do not feel I have the skills, knowledge or training to do anything else but, follow the instructions to the "T", I am very reluctant to try anything on my freshly updated 3.2.0 kernel. I would much rather use a Ubuntu supported kernel that applies these drivers and doesn't break anything in the process. Is it a case where this is so new that Canonical has not yet included these drivers but, soon will do so?

• Reputable web host in mainland China? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: How to find web hosting that meets my requirements? We currently have a rather poorly set up Windows 2003 box with little to no support based in Shanghai; with no control panel/mail server. I am told for legal/business reasons the host must be based in the same location as the company for the website; but this could well be misinformation. Are there any well-known, quality hosts in China that offer reliable English-speaking support? We did consider GoDaddy on the west coast of America, but were informed of the risk of the site being shut down without any notice. We don't have any technically-minded contacts out there to advise, and hoping that someone will have some more experience in this department. Thank you.

  I've come across SQL injection vulnerabilities on my companies ecommerce page. It was fairly poorly put together. I believe I have prevented future attempts however we are getting calls about fraudulent credit card charges on our site and others. This leads me to believe that someone was able to get a list of our credit card numbers. What doesn't make sense is that we don't store that information and we use Authorize.net for the transaction. If someone was able to get the CC#s, what should I do next? Inform ALL of our customers that someone broken into our system and stole their information? I have a feeling that will be bad for business.

  We are using Geolocation (getCurrentPosition()) in a website to determine a users position when using our site from a mobile device. I want to write an article explaining how the user can obtain the best results. Am I correct in assuming: Enabling GPS will yield the best result when in rural areas (less buildings to obscure line of sight to the satelites) Enabling Wi-Fi will yield the best results when in urban areas (generally more Wi-Fi hotspots available) Is it true that Android phones have better results from silently harvesting Wi-Fi hotspot details?   Sytmptom:   You have a list or document library page (allitems.aspx) and you are trying to add a Web part.  You get an error message: Unable to add selected Web part(s).  (name of Web part): The file is not checked out.  You must first check out this document before making changes. Publishing features are not turned on and it is not a page that lives in a library accessible by the GUI. Solution:  Open the site in SharePoint Designer and check out the page. Then, check in the page after modifications are done.  It seems like this is just a bug.

The other reason for the trip is to connect with the Microsoft development community.  This includes both members of my local Midwest community and the global communities that I have only had online connections with.  Sharing the experience and getting a chance to exchange ideas with new and old friends is a great part of any convention.   Yesterday before i sleep, i check my site index. i get about 50 index on google. today morning when i wake up, i get 250 index on google. and my page ranking better on several keyword. than i add 1 page and 2 canonical link, add 404 page header, and resubmit sitemap. and after 2 hour, its going down to 50 index again. and my page ranking just rolled back to previous day. what is actually happen? is it because i resubmit sitemap? until now, google still crawl my website. do they try to refresh the index?

  Java.net, the home of  Java community projects, has been re-launched with a new look and new tools for developers.  The move from CollabNet to the Kenai infrastructure offers more flexibility for developers who want to host or contribute to community projects.  Instead of the large, fixed infrastructure per project (for example, several mailing lists per project), Kenai's ala carte features allow users to take only what they need. "We will continue to have the great mix of blogs, forums, and editorial content as well as new tools on the project side, including Mercurial, Git, and JIRA for developers," Java.net Community Manager Sonya Barry explains. The migration was huge effort. Over 1400 projects were migrated (and some 30 projects are left to go). A large part of the migration was a big cleanup of abandoned projects. With the high abandonment rate of open source projects, the was a lot to remove. • Increase Servers folder depth limit for running scripts?

  I have a CMS on my site that utilises TinyMCE (the WYSIWYG text editor). The issue is that TinyMCE cannot browse for files (example: images) on the web server. I get the error: Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data. I have been told this may be occurring because the server is configured to limit the folder depth for running scripts. Unfortunately I am primarily a front end developer so I am not really sure how to go about changing/viewing this. I have access to WHM and cPanel. Does anyone know how to adjust this?

  Due to some issues in my site many pages are visible as duplicate using : www.example.com/page.html?task=view but it's content is exactly same as www.example.com/page.html. One way is to use http 301 redirect from www.example.com/page.html?task=view to www.example.com/page.html when anybody fetches page with arguments. But links like www.example.com/page.html?task=view will remain visible to outside world. Another way is canonicalization which I don't want to use as it is difficult to insert the tag in Joomla CMS. I want to hide www.example.com/page.html?task=view from external world. Is it possible to change the url from www.example.com/page.html?task=view to www.example.com/page.html ? I mean if there is href link of www.example.com/page.html?task=view in my web page, it should be visible to external world as without any arguments. This is different from using 301 to convert externally accessed page : www.example.com/page.html?task=view to without using arguments in .htaccess.

• Do navigation menu links negatively impact SEO for pages' content?

  I've always had my doubts about navigation menus effect on SEO. You know, the vertical menus on the top that show in every page in the site linking to main sections and subsections. My issue is that if not done dynamically (i.e. after page is loaded or something), from a search engine's point of view it probably looks like a whole bunch of links in the beginning of the page, and links that probably have nothing to do with the page being analyzed, so it's probably not only confusing it, but also giving link 'juice' to the wrong pages or reducing its value. When I've asked SEO people about this, I usually get a "Google is smart, they'll recognize it as a menu and ignore it" response, but I'm not convinced (and the 'Google is smart' argument sounds almost like religion discussion to me). So does it affect SEO negatively or not? Are there any official posts on this topic?
