  I have looked through the nant documentation and sourceforge faq and can't find the answer to this question. The exec task in nant puts ( ) around the command line parameters it generates, so for example this task below would generate: mallow ( -1 ) <exec program="${build.tools.wix}\mallow.exe" workingdir="${build.out.xxx}"> <arg value="-1" /> </exec> The other open source tool I'm using - mallow - cannot handle this. Does anyone know of a way to stop nant putting the ( ) around the arguments? Thanks.

  I have a fairly large CSS file developed by my web designer. There are, of course, plenty of IDs, classes and tag properties assigned therein. Are there any tools to automatically generate HTML based on a CSS source file? For example: #basicInfoHead{ background:url(../images/leftHeaders.jpg) no-repeat; margin-left: 0px; width:185px; height:28px; } #basicInfoHead span{ float: left; } Would generate <div id=basicInfoHead><span>#basicInfoHead span</span></div> Etc etc. From there, I could preview the generated code in my browser, and see what each of the individual (primarily text) styles would look like.   for development of interactive 3d web applications, which engine is recommended? I am aware that WebGL has been anounced to become standarized for all browsers in the near future (1~2 years). I am afraid that by investing time into a proprietary game engine such as Unity, torque would be not great once plugin-less open source 3d engines appear (webgl & 3D javascript). Is this a stupid thing to worry about ? Should I begin with Unity3D (it's demo's and tools were mind blowing).

  I don't do a lot of Windows GUI programming, so this may all be common knowledge to people more familiar with WinForms than I am. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any resources to explain the issue, I encountered today during debugging. If we call EndInvoke on an async delegate. We will get any exception thrown during execution of the method re-thrown. The call stack will reflect the original source of the exception. However, if we do something similar on a Windows.Forms.Control, the implementation of Control.EndInvoke resets the call stack. This can be observed by a simple test or by looking at the code in Reflector. The relevant code excerpt from EndInvoke is here: if (entry.exception != null) { throw entry.exception; } I understand that Begin/EndInvoke on Control and async delegates are different, but I would have expected similar behavior on Control.EndInvoke. Is there any reason Control doesn't do whatever it is async delegates do to preserve the original call stack?

  Is there an open source project that can serve as a good example on how to use the maven site plugin to generate reports? I would prefer it to consist of many modules, possibly hierarchically structured use as many plugins as possible (surefire, jxr, pmd, findbugs, javadoc, checkstyle, you name it) the reports should be aggregated: if some tests fail you want to have a single page that shows all modules with failing tests, not only a gazillion individual pages to check include enterprisey stuff (WAR, EAR etc), but this is not so important. The idea is to have something where you can gather ideas on how it is done and what is possible.

  Hi, I have some ogg audios in my raw folder and I'm trying to set one of them as a Ringtone (or Notification, Alarm... whatever). I've been looking at the source code of RingDroid and I can see how is this done using the ContentValues and MediaStore, but in all the examples I've seen, the audio files is in the SDCard. Is it possible to set the ringtone directly from the raw folder? If not, how can I make a copy of the raw file to a folder in the SD? Thanks in advance.

• How to prevent a globally overridden "new" operator from being linked in from external library

  In our iPhone XCode 3.2.1 project, we're linking in 2 external static C++ libraries, libBlue.a and libGreen.a. libBlue.a globally overrides the "new" operator for it's own memory management. However, when we build our project, libGreen.a winds up using libBlue's new operator, which results in a crash (presumably because libBlue.a is making assumptions about the kinds of structures being allocated). Both libBlue.a and libGreen.a are provided by 3rd parties, so we can't change any of their source code or build options. When we remove libBlue.a from the project, libGreen.a doesn't have any issues. However, no amount of shuffling the linking order of the libraries seems to fix the problem, nor does any experimentation with the various linking flags. Is there some way to tell XCode to tell the linker to "have libGreen's use of the new operator use the standard C++ new operator rather than the one redefined by libBlue"?

  I have a data frame where one particular column has a set of specific values (let's say, 1, 2, ..., 23). What I would like to do is to convert from this layout to the one, where the frame would have extra 23 (in this case) columns, each one representing one of the factor values. The data in these columns would be booleans indicating whether a particular row had a given factor value... To show a specific example: Source frame: ID DATE SECTOR 123 2008-01-01 1 456 2008-01-01 3 789 2008-01-02 5 ... <more records with SECTOR values from 1 to 5> Desired format: ID DATE SECTOR.1 SECTOR.2 SECTOR.3 SECTOR.4 SECTOR.5 123 2008-01-01 T F F F F 456 2008-01-01 F F T F F 789 2008-01-02 F F F F T I have no problem doing it in a loop but I hoped there would be a better way. For ex: When copying files from "https://example.com/svn/repos/trunk/project/src/ex.txt" to "https://example.com/svn/repos/branches/PackageN/project/src", files end up in "project" folder inside PackageN while my intention is to move it to "src" folder inside "project. • Remove files from Bazaar

  I'm using Bazaar (bzr) to keep source code for a website updated, but we've ran into a problem when we remove files from version control. The files we are removing are ones we never intended to version to begin with. When this happens we use bzr rm --keep to remove the file from version control, but keep the file in the file system. Doing a bzr push or bzr pull results in the removed file(s) being removed on the other branches (other sites that use our code) We need a way to make sure that a bzr push or bzr pull doesn't actually remove those from the working copy. Anyone have any ideas?

  Anyone had success installing and using PySide on OSX? I am following the install instructions on the PySide site, though I'm running into issues building the API Extractor. I run cmake on the CMakeLists.txt file inside the api extractor dir and: This error is thrown- CMake Error at /Applications/CMake 2.8-0.app/Contents/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/FindBoost.cmake:894 (message): Unable to find the requested Boost libraries. Unable to find the Boost header files. Please set BOOST_ROOT to the root directory containing Boost or BOOST_INCLUDEDIR to the directory containing Boost's headers.   I have an control with a mouse down event where Id like to chnage the Image when the image is clicked. But I cant seem to alter ANY of the images properties in the event.   I'm doing a lot of work with a DSLs at the moment and was wondering if anyone knew of a tool that could generate a parser for my bnf specification that does not require a run-time library (pure java source parser)? I'm committed to using XTEXT for a future Eclipse plug-in but I need a nice small version for my library itself and don't want to add another jar dependency. It seems that ANTLR requires a run-time to parse files and I performed a Google search with no avail. Can anyone help out? Thanks, Chris

• How to make a DropDownList control display some items in bold ASP.Net

  I'm working with a custom DropDownList control in ASP.Net and there's been a request to display certain items in the list with a bold typeface (NOTE - the control inherits from CompositeDataBoundControl so it can be data bound... not DropDownListBox). The control is bound to a table and there's a column in the table named IsUsed - if this is set to true, the corresponding item in the list should be rendered bold. (It should be noted here that this will only ever be viewed in FireFox.) My experience is all in the middle \ backend tiers so the presentation layer is very new to me - can someone point me in the right direction? My initial thought was that somewhere in the custom control I would have access to all the rows that are returned from the data source which I could cycle through etc but I'm not sure if that's possible... There's also RenderContents which I can override... looks interesting! Any help appreciated - cheers. James

  Hello everyone, I'm writing a compiler that converts source code (written in a small imperative programming language) to Intel AT&T 32-bit assembler. I tend to spend a lot of time debugging, because of nasty offset-mistakes etc. in the generated code, and I would like to know if anyone knows of a tool to "walk through" the generated assembler code step-by-step, visualizing what's on the stack etc. I use Ubuntu Linux as my development platform, and I'm comfortable with the terminal -- a GUI-program would be nice though. Does it exist? Or is there a good reason it doesn't (maybe the problem isn't so straightforward..?) If you have good ideas for approaching debugging tasks in assembly code, I'll be glad to hear from you!

  I'm working on a C# windows program with Visual Studio 2008. Usually, I work from school, directly on my usb drive. But when I copy the folder on my hard drive at home, an sql exception is unhandled whenever I try to write to the database. it is unhandled at the conn.Open(); line. here's the exception unhandled Database 'L:\system\project\the_project\the_project\bin\Debug\PatientMonitoringDatabase.mdf' already exists. Choose a different database name.   Hi, I have a java class and I need to debug it (put breakpoints and continue using F6). I am using ANT script to init, build, deploy and run the code. I am using: <javac srcdir="${src.dir}" destdir="${classes.dir}" debug="true" debuglevel="lines,vars,source"> .......... </javac> But when I place the breakpoint in a line in my foo.java class and I run the ant script (the run part, Right Click on run--Debug As--Ant Build), Eclipse does not stop at that line of code. What am I missing out?!

• Implementing a Property Inspector/Editor in WPF

  So far my plan is to have an event "Item selected" which the property inspector listens to. The actual property inspector is just a ContentControl. When the object is selected the content property is set and the appropriate DataTemplate for editing the object is loaded. In general I am trying to do this "MVVM" style. I guess you could use reflection instead of templating but I only have a handful of types so far. Has anyone implemented something similar? Can you offer any advice or source code?

  I'm attempting to use C# as a scripting language using CSharpCodeProvider (using VS2010 and .NET 4.0). I want the scripts to be run in a restricted AppDomain with minimal permissions. Currently, I'm getting an exception while trying to instantiate a class in the AppDomain (The call to CreateInstanceAndUnwrap()). • Exclude a URL from rewrite in .htaccess with "last" flag

  WordPress has been installed as a blog into osCommerce. I'm trying to get the WordPress RSS feed to work. All WP core files exist, but I get all kinds of errors accessing the feed at mydomain.com/wordpress/feed/, like 404s, "the feed can't be updated because the source file is no longer available," or even raw php code in the browser from the osCommerce feed file. I think the problem is the rewrite rules for osCommerce, and I'm thinking if I can exclude the WP feed URL from rewrite, it will fix the feed or help find the real issue. Looking around SO, I found a solution to use the "last" flag on a URL to prevent it from being rewritten. Problem is, the existing .htaccess already has a rule with a "last" flag on it: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)/$ http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?cPath=$1 [L] Is there a way to not rewrite the WP feed URL? Can another "last" rule be added? I'd like to have some definite things to try before messing with .htaccess to avoid disrupting the site.

• Wordpress Digg-Like Voting System Plugin

  I just found out about BuddyPress (a collection of plugins that convert a WordPress MU install into a social network) and now I was wondering if there are any Digg-like voting plugins for WordPress. This would eventually integrate into a BuddyPress website, where the site members would submit, vote and comment on stories (much like Digg). I have a feeling I will end up having to build this from scratch, but since the site will be built on WordPress, I was wondering if there were any plugins already available that add this functionality. So far I have come up empty in my search. I did find a Wordpress blog that had this functionality WpVote. It even creates thumbnails of the story webpage automatically (I'm assuming) using websnapr. I browsed through the page source and didn't seem to find any hints of a WP plugin that they are using.
