    I have the following File object pointing to a directory via symbolic link, File directory = new File("/path/symlink/foo/bar"); String[] files = directory.listFiles(); listFiles() returns null, is this because of the symlink? if yes, how will I go about this if I really want to list the files in bar using the path that contains a symlink?

  • Windows Batch Script to Replace Environment Variables in a File

    Hi. I want to write a batch file that will take the contents of a file, and replace any environment variable references inside the file with the actual environment variable values. Is this possible? Basically, if a file had this: %PROGRAM FILES%\Microsoft SQL Server\ then I would want the file contents to become: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\ after the batch script ran. This is just one example, but I want ALL environment variables to be expanded. Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Where is the "personal" folder of the iPhone simulator?

    Hi, I found the iPhone simulator at /Username/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/4.2/ and in there I can see my apps within a cryptic directory name. One of my apps is storing a database and some cached files in the iPhone's "Personal" folder which I thought is the "Documents" folder in the directory of the simulator. But there's nothing in it. Nevertheless, I can read my files - where are they? René

    Hi I am trying to deploy an application with two executable files one of which is the application it self. I used the publish tub on the VS 2008 and tried to publish manually using the MageUI.exe. in both cases I get the "Reference in the manifest does not match the identity of the downloaded assembly" error in regards to the second executable file.   • Dynamically create hierachical tableview from file structure

    Hi, I have a directory structure of directories and files that I want to render as a tableview in an iphone app. I'd rather have this generated dynamically rather than have to maintain a XML PLIST or whatever. i.e. replicate the Explorer functionality in windows where a user can traverse the structure and then select bundled image files for viewing. Is there any way to do this? Any advice would be appreicated.

    OK I'm completely stumped here: I have installed (and reinstalled) ASP.NET MVC2 installed several times and I still can't see the ASP.NET MVC2 project templates shown in Visual Web Developer 2008 Express. I had checked the default project directory templates and had verified that those templates are installed, for example these templates files are found C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\VWDExpress\ProjectTemplates\CSharp\Web\1033: EmptyMvcWebApplicationProjectTemplatev2.0.cs.zip MvcWebApplicationProjectTemplatev2.0.cs.zip Any idea of tracking what's the problem and fix it?

Still not working.     Hi I need to send files using the BizTalk 2006 (non wcf) FTP adapter. After successful transmission of each file it needs to be renamed from an "A" prefix to a "U" prefix. I'm learning how to use gacutil.exe I found two copies of this file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bin\x64 C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bin\ I built a dll in VS2007, then I added a build post event, that calls gacutil.exe to transfer the dll to GAC. Does it matter which gacutil.exe I use?

    Hi all, I was wondering if it was possible for jQuery to find a file extension based on a returned string? A filename (string) will be passed to a function (openFile) and I wanted that function to do different things based on what file has been passed through, it could be image files or pdf files. function openFile(file) { //if .jpg/.gif/.png do something //if .zip/.rar do something else //if .pdf do something else }; I've been looking for something that will find the file's extension but I can't seem to find anything.

  • CCNet web dashboard not showing anything when MSBuild fails

    I have a simple project in ccnet using svn & msbuild only. There is a 30 second trigger for svn and the msbuild file compiles a web application then copies it to a numbered build folder. When an error occurs in the msbuild task I get a failed build. When I view a failed build in the web dashboard I can see the 'Modifications since last build' section in the dashboard, but nothing else. I have to click on the build log and read through all of the xml in the error log to see what the error was. Why won't the dashboard show the errors from the build log? I haven't changed anything in the dashboard.config since installing ccnet. It cannot be loaded from a new location within the same appdomain. How do I get rid of it?
