    I have a motherboard that says: DA0S20MB6F2 on it, it was an in an iron port box. I cant get Windows to see the NICS on it. Google searching doesn't help me find drivers. Anybody have thoughts?

    I'm about to buy an iTouch, mainly because of the iCal. I'm a Windows user, so does anyone know if these two play well together? I'd prefer to be able to update my calendar from either the computer or iTouch and sync. I've searched Google, but I'm sceptic so far.     Just started working with CentOS 5 after wanting to leave Ubuntu server for something a bit more industry-standard, and while trying to configure php-cgi, I run into this: [root@~~~~~~~ run]# /etc/init.d/php_cgi start Starting php-cgi: spawn-fcgi: child exited with: 255 [FAILED] Not 100% sure what's happening here, but no Google result returns anything regarding error code 255. I was following this guide: http://bash.cyberciti.biz/web-server/rhel-fedora-php-fastcgi-initd-script/ if it helps. EDIT: Forgot to mention this is with Nginx, not Lighttpd. Many thanks, Elliot

    I'm remotely investigating issue with my friend's WIN XP computer. The browsers (Chrome and IE) won't show any pages but message with err_connection_reset in details. I've tried to perform "telnet google.com 80" and send there "HEAD / HTTP/1.0" from console and everything went fine, but browsers refused to give me anything. I've checked for presence of firewalls and proxy servers in the settings, but nothing seems to be there. What else to check?

    Basically, I want to do the same thing that Google Voice does. I forward my calls to a DID number that rings my Asterisk server via IAX2, which, if it detects the call has been forwarded, sends it to voicemail. Otherwise, if the call hasn't been forwarded (and somebody has dialed the DID number), it dials my phone number and tries to reach me. tl;dr: how do I detect that a call has been forwarded to my asterisk box?

    Hi, Oh RHEL 5.5, there are 31 ACPI PCI hotplug slots by default: acpiphp: Slot [1] registered ... acpiphp: Slot [31] registered Is there a way to increase this number? I haven't been able to find an argument to supply to modprobe, or a sysctl knob to tweak, but I know there must be ways to get more slots based on some Google sleuthing. (For the curious, this is just preliminary experimentation to see how many virtual disks I can hot-add to a running KVM guest.)

  • Is there a way to refresh Notepad?

    I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, but I checked on google and wasn't able to find out for sure. Say, for example, that there's one process that's writing to a file. While the process is running, I opened the file in notepad. The process keeps writing to the file. Other than closing and reopening the file, is there any way for me to "refresh" the data that notepad is showing? TIA!

    Hi all! I don't get that: as soon as I open a Webpage, whether it's with Firefox or Chrome (I hate so much IE that I didn't test with it), there are tons of TCP connexions between "localajaxchat" and a supposed google ("1e100") domain. I've already read this topic, but my problem seems strange because there are so many TCP connexions for only one page... I don't get it. If someone could explain this problem to me... Thanks a lot!

    On Windows 7, dir or tree can't show unicode characters, even starting cmd with cmd /U So I would press Window Key + R to run something, and type in cmd /U so that the content might handle Unicode. And then using dir or tree /F, the content in Unicode won't show as Unicode. (in Window Explorer (file manager), the Unicode will show) Is there a way to handle it? To get Unicode characters to test your filenames, you can go to http://news.google.com/news?edchanged=1&ned=tw and you will be able to get many Unicode characters there (UTF-8)

The only suggestion I've found on Google advises setting up a launchd service to run at boot, which seems like a horrible hack (does it survive a network restart without rebooting, for instance?)     We have a very interesting problem. The network is configured in this way: internet is connected to Trendnet switch TS DHCP server at 192.168.0.1 running on Ubuntu (S) is connected to internet switch DNS is also configured on 192.168.0.1 on S D-Link Wi-Fi boosters are connected to switch TS PCs use D-Link PCI-E Wi-Fi cards to get access to network PCs have both Ubuntu and Windows 7 There are about 40 PCs. When PC is booted to Ubuntu it easily gets access to internet. But when it's booted to Windows 7, it gets a valid IP-address, but doesn't get access to internet. The address, mask, DNS, GW-address are totally the same as when it's booted under Ubuntu. The S is reacheble and pingable. Sometimes when we are lucky the PC gets access to Internet, but after rebooting it can lose it. When PC under Windows has access, it has totally the same settings as when it doesn't. What can be done? UPDATE I shared a dropbox with 2 captures of traffic. Ping.pcap is a capture of pinging 8.8.8.8. And google-browser.pcap is a capture of opening a google.com in a browser, both of them are in tcpdump formats and made by Wireshark on Win PC. The MAC of Win PC ends on b7:63 and IP is 192.168.0.130.   • How to remove malware "Zlob" that creat ns??.tmp file?

    Hi, I am trying to install TeamCity but it was stopped by the malware that keep generating ns??(??=random digit).tmp file. I found that out because the setup process stay still. But when ever I kill the process of the ns??.tmp file, the process continues. I found on google that the ns??.tmp was actually caused by a malware called zlob and I used both Symantec and MS securities essential to scan the whole machine, but nothing was found by that. Anyone have any suggestion?

    Hello all-- so, a DLL is similar to a folder, but it allows for multiple programs/executables to access it at once, thus conserving memory (I think). What is Mac's equivalent of a DLL? I was looking through the Google Chrome folders inside ~/Library/Application Support, and instead of the regular Windows Default.dll there was just a folder, "Default" as a regular file, with contents, I assume, would regularly be inside the DLL. Does the Mac equivalent provide the same function?

However all the documentation I've read seems to say that you can only use the PUEL version in order to get remote access during installs - does anyone know if it's possible to do similar with the OSE but using VNC? Why is that so? What i've tried: Before posting this question i did some shallow research through Google. According to Wikipedia, there are several methods for faster playback of audio, the "simplest" one (Resampling) changes the pitch.
