  • Problem With HTML5 Application Cache Whitelist - Won't Ignore Items

    I'm trying to use HTML5 Application Cache to speed some things up on an iPhone webapp. It works great for storing images, css and JS, but the problem is that it also tries to store the HTML. I haven't been able to get it to ignore the html and stop storing it in the cache. From what I've read, I have to "whitelist" the files and directories that I want to load no matter what. I've tried listing the files I want cached explicitly, and I've tried adding a series of things under the "NETWORK:" heading. I've tried * / /* http://mysite.com http://mysite.com/ http://mysite.com/* None of them seem to work. Is there any way to ignore HTML files by MIME-Type or anything? Any advice would be appreciated. Ryan P.S. Of course, my site is not mysite.com..I just used that for simplicity.

    Hi, I have a custom Dialog on my app and I have a problem to do what I would like. I explain. My Dialog have had 4 Buttons. I want to pass variables to a WordPress page via the url (similar to CodeIgniter uri helper segments). Currently I can do this... My profile page is: http://website.com/profile I can pass a variable like this: http://website.com/profile?username=johndoe I want to pass the variable in like this: http://website.com/profile/johndoe There has to be some sort of helper function, right?

  • Wordpress.. Is it a CMS?

    I recently was contacted by a client who simply wanted to increase their organic rankings in Google. My approach was to do the following: A) Take them off of their overpriced host and move them to a nicer, cheaper, more feature-rich hosting solution which included a simple Wordpress install. B) Apply a theme to WordPress which followed the look and feel of their existing website. C) Train my client on how to login to their copy of Wordpress and create/manage pages/posts. This took me very little time.. Most of the work in converting asp forms into php and tweaking a theme to fit their design. Now my client is able to create/manage as many pages or posts as they desire. I believe, for this purpose, Worpress was the easiest solution. Would you categorize Wordpress as a CMS?   • Integrate openid4java to GWT Project

    Hi, I created an GWT project in eclipse. Now I tried to implement openId with using the openid4java library. I imported the .jar files via properties--java build path: openid4java-0.9.5.jar lib/*.jar In addition I copied the .jar files into the war/WEB-INF/lib directory. The problem at hand comes up when I call the authenticate() method. Then I get a: HTTP ERROR 500 Problem accessing /openid/openid.     I have an Observable and an Observer. The observable does download some stuff in a background thread and calls notifyObservers to let the observers read the status.   • GoDaddy Subdomain Hosting Issue/Question with Disk Access (C#/ASP.NET 3.5)

    This isn't a very complicated scenario really, but as I start to type out the problem I'm realizing how convoluted it can become textually. Let me try and be very clear: First, the set up... I have a C#/ASP.NET web application that is publicly facing on my main domain (www), let's call it www.mysite.com. Nothing fancy, just a front-end that connects to SQL to display records. Then, I have a second C#/ASP.NET web application that is secured using forms authentication running on a subdomain, let's call it admin.mysite.com. This is a very light-weight CMS system to administer the public site. Now, the problem... Both of these sites run fine for basic tasks, however, my problem arises when I try to gain access to the file system for uploading. GoDaddy requires subdomains to run as a virtual directories under the main application in IIS (so the subdomains actually resolve/re-direct to www.mysite.com/admin when you type in admin.mysite.com), but because of this I am unable to write to my website root from the subfolder. Let me explain a little more... The CMS system (running as a virtual directory) gives the admin the ability to upload photos for display on the main site, the target folder of which is www.mysite.com/images - when attempting disk access from the root app, I am able to write to the virtual directory, but cannot do the opposite -- that is, write to the root from the virtual directory, getting security violations. If I can only upload to the /admin/ virtual directory, the entire point is moot because it's a secured folder that the public can't see! The only solution I can think of is to upload the files to the /admin/ virtual directory, then call a URL in the root that moves files from /admin/ back to the root, but that is entirely ghetto. I hope this post makes sense. Anyone else experience anything like this? The bottom line is that it seems virtual directories ONLY have access to themselves, and not their parent directories, no matter what credentials are used. Thanks!

    Hi, I'm having an issue with the ContentPresenter behaving unexpectedly based on whether the styles are located in the Window.Resources or in a ResourceDictionary. Specifically, I'm setting the Foreground of the default TextBlock to Black, then setting the Foreground value in my default button style to White.     Hi, I have to implement Single Sign On in my .NET(3.5) project using Shibboleth. Detailed requirement goes this way: 1) I have developped a web application using .NET (3.5) named "abc.com". 2) There are some third party applications which will be launched from "abc.com" 3) If I have logged in to "abc.com" and now if I launch any of the supported third party applications then it should not ask for login information again. From last few days I have been reading Shibboleth from https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/SHIB2/Home I have also installed Identity provider (IdP) and Service Provide (SP) from https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/SHIB2/Installation Still I am unable to make out how my "abc.com", third party application and Shibboleth will fit into one picture? Can anyone please guide me?

    Hi, i'm having this issue, in ASP.NET MVC 2 where I'm adding a drop down list on the master page and filling it with data from an abstract master controller. When an option is selected an submit button clicked, it reroutes you to a new page. so lets say the page lives on http://domain.com/landingPage i'm on: http://domain.com/landingPage i select option and submit takes me to http://domain.com/landingPage/Projects/FramedPage i select again and now the post tries to go to: http://domain.com/landingPage/Projects/landingPage/Projects/FramedPage because of the action="" i have set on the form tag. Any ideas on how to go about this?     I'm seeing some unusual behavior when using the DataContractSerializer. I'm sending it an XML message that looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <order xmlns="http://example.com/v1/order> <store> ... </store> <orderHeader> ... </orderHeader> <payments> <payment> ... </payment> </payments> <shipments> <shipment> ... </shipment> </shipments> </order> My service deserializes this XML as expected. Inside my service, I'm using the DataContractSerializer to create an XML string and that's where things get weird. I'm using the serializer like this: DataContractSerializer serializer = new DataContractSerializer(typeof(MyOrder)); using (MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream()) { serializer.WriteObject(ms, order); ms.Position = 0; StreamReader sr = new StreamReader(ms); string outputMessage = sr.ReadToEnd(); } Once this finishes, the outputMessage contains the following XML: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <MyOrder xmlns="http://example.com/v1/order" xmlns:i="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <order> <store> ... </store> <orderHeader> ... </orderHeader> <payments> <payment> ... </payment> </payments> <shipments> <shipment> ... </shipment> </shipments> </order> </MyOrder> Needless to say, anything expecting to receive the original XML message will fail to parse this. So I guess I have two questions: Why is the DataContractSerializer adding the extra outer node to my XML output? Is there a way to stop it from doing this? Thanks.

    When I try to findViewById() on my custom view I keep getting a ClassCastException. I've tried so many things that I'm sure I've botched the code now! To make sure I'm not going insane I stripped down the classes to their bare minimum inorder to find what was wrong. I'm new to android programming and I'm sure I'm missing something basic.
