• How does Windows Task Scheduler detect that a task is already running?

  I have an application on Windows Server 2008 that takes different command-line parameters. For example: myapp.exe /A myapp.exe /B I have created a task scheduler task for each of those. While "myapp.exe /A" is running, I want to prevent another instance of it from starting. However, I still want "myapp.exe /B" to be able to run (again, though only one instance of it at a time). How can I set this up?

  I have a fairly large CSS file developed by my web designer. There are, of course, plenty of IDs, classes and tag properties assigned therein. Are there any tools to automatically generate HTML based on a CSS source file?   I've written a simple Java applet to generate a technical image based upon some data in a CSV file. I'm passing in the CSV file as a parameter to the applet: <applet code = "assaymap.AssayMapApplet" archive = "http://localhost/applet_test/AssayMap.jar" height="600px" width="800px"> <param name="csvFile" value="http://localhost/applet_test/test.csv"> </applet> As far as I understood applet security restrictions, an applet should be able to read data from the host they're on. These applets here http://www.jalview.org/examples/applets.html are using the same approach of passing in a text data file as a parameter. So I'm not sure why my own applet isn't working. The error message I get thrown is: Error with processing the CSV data. java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.io.FilePermission http:\localhost\applet_test\test.csv read)

I've also tried stopImmediatePropagation() - but I still need to return false to stop the default behaviour of the link.

Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this?

• Embedding Facebook in an IFrame

  I have an app that has an IFrame with a page flash overly allowing you to draw on webpages. When I go to Facebook with the application, an overlay pops up covering everything at 50% opacity (Which is fine). The problem is that the overlay is all black in some installations of IE7. Can anyone advise on how to get around this?   I'm developing on my ubuntu 9.10 machine for the web (php). I'm using it sendmail for sending mails, and while developing on my local machine, I send local mails (to my user 'doron'). Up until a few days ago, I was able to send mails both from php's mail() function, and from the command line using the mail command. I'm using sendmail with mailutils. Since the last few days, it seems like it stopped working.   I have asp.net textbox with MaskedEditExtender. • How to create a rounded title border in Java Swing

  I do understand that to create a title border, you do something like: BorderFactory.createTitledBorder(" Your Title "); However this creates a rectangle border whereas I need a rectangle with curved corners. Now from what I understand you can create your own custom border by: class CustomBorder implements Border { ... } The problem is that I'm not sure how to write the code that overrides the method: public void paintBorder(Component component, Graphics g, int x, int y, int width, int height) Or better yet, is there a way to do it without implementing your own Border class? And if not, how would you write that custom Title Border? I'm ok with drawing a rectangle with rounded corners, but how do you do it so that there's space for the label too?

• Filtering Security Logs by User and Logon Type

  I have been asked to find out when a user has logged on to the system in the last week. Now the audit logs in Windows should contain all the info I need. I think if I search for Event ID 4624 (Logon Success) with a specific AD user and Logon Type 2 (Interactive Logon) that it should give me the information I need, but for the life of my I cannot figure out how to actually filter the Event Log to get this information. Is it possible inside of the Event Viewer or do you need to use an external tool to parse it to this level? I found http://nerdsknowbest.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/filter-security-event-logs-by-user-in.html which seemed to be part of what I needed. I modified it slightly to only give me the last 7 days worth. Below is the XML I tried. <QueryList> <Query Id="0" Path="Security"> <Select Path="Security">*[System[(EventID=4624) and TimeCreated[timediff(@SystemTime) &lt;= 604800000]]]</Select> <Select Path="Security">*[EventData[Data[@Name='Logon Type']='2']]</Select> <Select Path="Security">*[EventData[Data[@Name='subjectUsername']='Domain\Username']]</Select> </Query> </QueryList> It only gave me the last 7 days, but the rest of it did not work. I can get it to produce the results correctly until I add in the LogonType line. After that, it returns no results. Any idea why this might be? EDIT 2 I updated the LogonType line to the following: EventData[Data[@Name='LogonType'] and (Data='2' or Data='7')] This should capture Workstation Logons as well as Workstation Unlocks, but I still get nothing. I then modify it to search for other Logon Types like 3, or 8 which it finds plenty of. This leads me to believe that the query works correctly, but for some reason there are no entries in the Event Logs with Logon Type equalling 2 and this makes no sense to me. Is it possible to turn this off?

The above code basically detects a single tap on a small image (width = 18 and height = 36). It works 90% of the time detecting a single tap. But it sometime misses it (randomly). I have to tap several times before it picks up the single tap. What did I do wrong or miss so I could consistently detect the single tap 100%? Thanks in advance for your help.

The connection works because I can easily dump the data to a datagrid and I can see the string. when I try to hook the data to a Richtext field I get "object CallResponder" so I am connected, but I'm not sure how to break it down so that it is just an html string for the text field.   What is the easiest way to align a div whose position is relative horizontally and vertically using CSS ? The width and the height of the div is unknown, i.e. it should work for every div dimension and in all major browsers. I mean center alignment. I thought to make the horizontal alignment using: margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; like I did here. Is this a good cross browser solution for horizontal alignment ? How could I do the vertical alignment ?
