Get single Wordpress gallery image with given title

I am having users of a Wordpress blog upload a single image to different post's galleries with the name "banner". Basically, every post will have an image named "banner" uploaded to its gallery and this image needs to be displayed on the post's page outside of the article content. So, how can I get the URL to display an image in a post's single.php template? Can I iterate through the images of a given post's gallery and find the one with the correct title somehow? I've searched through the Wordpress codex docs and haven't found anything on a way to do this, just information on displaying galleries of photos. Note that I'm already using Wordpress's post thumbnail feature for something else. Thanks!

How to correctly migrate urls from custom asp.net solution to Wordpress?

I have a web site built using asp.net with ugly URLs like /DisplayContent.aspx?id=789564. I know how to migrate the database, but the Wordpress urls will be (naturally) different. Can I simply write some mapping or do I have to include a rewrite rule for each subpage (300 pages) in .htaccess? Should I provide a rewrite rule for each existing page that would transform a full old url to the known new url, like for example: /DisplayContent.aspx?id=789798 -> /2010-5-10/Title-Of-The-Post Even if I manage to migrate the URLs, the structure of the HTML for the new content will naturally be different. How does this affect SEO? Should I run asp.net and wordpress side by side and issue the redirects from the asp.net application? What is the most efficient solution to this kind of migration of URLs without doing PHP programming?

Expand <div> tag to bottom of page with CSS

Hi all, I know this question gets asked a lot because I have looked at many "solutions" trying to get this to work for me. I can get it to work if I hack up the html but I want to use all CSS. All I want is a header with two columns below it, and I want these three items to fill the entire page/screen, and I want to do it with CSS and without frames or tables. The XAMPP user interface looks exactly how I want my page to look, but again, I do not want to use frames. I cannot get the two orangeish colored columns to extend to the bottom of the screen. I do have it so it looks like the right column extends to the bottom of the screen just by changing the body background color to the same color as the background color of the right column, but I would like both columns to extend to the bottom so I didn't have to do that. advanced css: top and bottom with flexible centre

is it possible with just css2 to have the following: all the content to be in the flexible div.mid section overlap the top and bottom parts not fussed about ie6 here's the photoshop with centre slice: as you can see the top and bottom parts are quite large and i need to overlap them from the middle slice... Please dont misunderstand here, i understand how to make a flexible central div, the complexity is in the overlapping of the top and bottom while the mid div remains flexible. I imagine it requires either negative margins or absolutely position top and bottoms elements with z-index..

i got an idea for making php template engine fast and user friendly but i'm not sure if it's good or bad. the idea is to create a fake template engine: creating a template editor in control panel that let user see something like this: <html> <head> <title>{title}</title> </head> <body> {content} </body> </html> what the editor actually does is to replace all php code like <?php echo $this->title; ?> to user friendly {title} but it's not really replacing it just in the view when the user save the template the template actually saved as fast pure php template. the question is this a good idea or bad ? your answers is highly appreciated.

Invoking activity that is located in a jar

hi i tried to invoke another activity from my main acitivty which is located in a jar file. Class clazz = Class.forName(getPackageName() + "." + getActivityName()); startActivity(new Intent(this, clazz)); Im doing it this way because i only know the name of the class. This works fine but unfortunately, all resource files can't be found while loading the activity from the jar file. at the first occurence of loading a res file there is a ResourceNotFoundException: 04-30 11:18:46.944: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(1749): Caused by: android.content.res.Resources$NotFoundException: Resource ID #0x7f040006 any hints for that? thanks!

jQuery slideDown() not animating (jquery-rails 3.0.4; jquery-ui-rails (4.0.5)

I am following along in the latest Agile Web Development with Rails 4 book. In Chapter 11 (AJAX), the book instructs us to use the following code in the "create.js.erb" file: if ($('#cart tr').length == 1) { $('#cart').show('blind', 1000); } This code causes the #cart div to jump down without any content. After 1 second it appears. There is no sliding effect. I tried using slideDown(); as well, but the div just appears immediately. Out of curiosity, I tried slideUp(); when the div was visible. Voila. The div slid up. This appears to be a jQuery bug and wondered if anyone else has experienced this, or has any suggestions for me. Thanks.

Handling dynamic number of columns

I'm developing a CMS of sorts, and I want to give my users the possibility of customizing the display. More precisely, I want to give them the ability to choose to display or hide the left column, the right column and/or the top div. The middle column cannot be hidden since this is where the actual content will show, whereas the other columns are for navigation or side menus. I've been looking for a way to make this as smart and flexible as possible. For now I'm using a MasterPage, but that seems to be too constraining. For instance, with MasterPage you need to add a ContentPlaceHolder control in every of your ASPX pages. What are the best practices in this area? I guess a simpler way of saying this would be "I want to create a template system over which I have complete control".

movedown method not saving new position - cakephp tree

Hi everyone, I am experiencing a problem that has popped up recently and is causing quite a bit of trouble for our system. [Update] I see I need the full example to explain. In my Windows Phone 7 App, I got a page containing a TextBox bound to a Decimal "Amount": <TextBox Text="{Binding Amount,Mode=TwoWay}" InputScope="CurrencyAmount"/> The phone settings are set to German. In german localization, a value like 1234.56m would be formatted 1.234,56 (unlike the US, where it should be 1,234.56). Problem is, when I enter a value like 1.234,56 in the textbox, the content will be interpreted for US, resulting in 1.23456m, when it should have been 1234.56m. So, how do I get the binding on the WP7 to use the current phone culture instead of a generic US one? In Germany people expect to enter a colon for decimals instead of a dot.

Drupal: tag multiselection.. but not anymore possible adding new tags

hi, I've installed Taxonomy SuperSelect module in my Drupal. Now my customer can not only type the tag for some content types pages but also select multiple tags using checkboxes. I've also ordered the chekboxes alphabetically. Replace String pattern in Java

An the content in-between "{ }" should remain unchanged: Ex: \\d{4} after replacing -> NCHAR(0x7B) 4 NCHAR(0x7D). Is there a way to do this using Regular Expressions in Java?. Anyway, this can be done processing the whole string using string operations.

Centering An Inline-Block DIV

Does anybody know how to center align a DIV that has the display set to inline-block? I cannot set the display to block because I have a background image that needs to be repeated, and it needs to expand based on the content. It sits inside of a parent div, in which is larger when it comes to width. So all in all. Does anyone have a fix to center align a div with the display set to inline-block? Set timeout on third-party file request with jQuery

I'm trying to integrate a script file hosted by a third party into a new web site. I've looked at JavaScript's native setTimeout(), as well as jQuery's delay() function, but I'm not sure which I should use--or how. Grateful for any suggestions.

How can I create a profiler GUI in WPF?

I am looking to create a task profiler in WPF with an UI similar to the one of incredibuild. Eg, timed tasks appear as strips on their respective line. Have a look at: http://baoz.net/wp-content/2009/06/ib1.png to see what I mean. I am unsure what the best way to tackle this problem is? Should I override the Panel class creating a custom layout panel for this or might there be an existing control/library out there that can fit my needs. I have so far had a look at various charting controls but am unsure of weither they can be tweaked to achieve this behaviour or not. I am really hoping for someone who has been using WPF for a while to help me narrow down my search. It is not exactly easy to know what to google for either :)

C#.NET Problem with locking of page after writing stream to window.

Turkish character problems while parsing (Android)

I am not able to show them as proper characters, they are printed out as question marks yet. CSV file download ignored in ie8/9

I have some code in a button click event which gets a csv string from a hidden input and writes it to the response as a CSV file. This work fine in Chrome, Firefox, ie7, ie9 in quirks mode. However it does not work in ie8 or ie9 default. Looking at this in fiddler the csv is being written to the response but the another get request is being made immediately after and the page reloads. After every export I get a perfectly made zipfile. The problem however is that when I try to import it, the mimetype sometimes is "application/empty". Is it always bad idea to use inline css for used-once property?

I have a table, with 10 columns. I want to control the width of each column. Each column is unique, right now I create an external CSS style for each column: div#my-page table#members th.name-col { width: 40px; } I know there is a best practice to avoid inline style. I do approve using external CSS for anything look'n'feel related: fonts, colors, images. But is it really better to use external CSS in this case? It does not incur extra maintenance cost. It is easier to produce. Cons I can think of: If you have separate designers and development team - using inline styles will force designers to modify content-file (aspx in my case). It might use more bandwidth. Anything else I've missed?
