  • Stack overflow while working with CFBuilder plugin

    - by lynxoid
In the past 30 minutes of working in CFBuilder (I have it as an Eclipse Plug in), I got this error 4 times: A stack overflow has occurred. You are recommended to exit the workbench. Subsequent errors may happen and may terminate the workbench without warning. See the .log file for more details. Do you want to exit workbench?. together with: Unhandled event loop exception java.lang.StackOverflowError The log file had this: !ENTRY org.eclipse.ui 4 0 2010-05-11 09:41:51.951 !MESSAGE Unhandled event loop exception !STACK 0 java.lang.StackOverflowError at java.util.Arrays.mergeSort(Unknown Source) at java.util.Arrays.mergeSort(Unknown Source) at java.util.Arrays.mergeSort(Unknown Source) at java.util.Arrays.mergeSort(Unknown Source) at java.util.Arrays.mergeSort(Unknown Source) at java.util.Arrays.sort(Unknown Source) at com.adobe.ide.cfml.parser.generated.CFMLParserBase.getVariableInfo(CFMLParserBase.java:1613) at com.adobe.ide.cfml.parser.generated.CFMLParserBase.getVariableInfo(CFMLParserBase.java:1603) at com.adobe.ide.editor.model.CFMLDOMUtils.getVariable(CFMLDOMUtils.java:2375) at com.adobe.ide.editor.model.CFMLDOMUtils.getComponentNameFromNode(CFMLDOMUtils.java:2484) at com.adobe.ide.editor.model.CFMLDOMUtils.getComponentNameFromFunctionCall(CFMLDOMUtils.java:2168) at com.adobe.ide.editor.model.CFMLDOMUtils.getComponentNameFromNode(CFMLDOMUtils.java:2495) at com.adobe.ide.editor.model.CFMLDOMUtils.getComponentNameFromFunctionCall(CFMLDOMUtils.java:2168) at com.adobe.ide.editor.model.CFMLDOMUtils.getComponentNameFromNode(CFMLDOMUtils.java:2495) at com.adobe.ide.editor.model.CFMLDOMUtils.getComponentNameFromFunctionCall(CFMLDOMUtils.java:2168) (and so on - repeat n times) It happens whenever I copy/paste something. Does anyone know what is going on?

  • How to use Comparator in Java to sort

    - by Dan
    I learned how to use the comparable but I'm having difficulty with the Comparator. I am having a error in my code: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassCastException: New.People cannot be cast to java.lang.Comparable at java.util.Arrays.mergeSort(Unknown Source) at java.util.Arrays.sort(Unknown Source) at java.util.Collections.sort(Unknown Source) at New.TestPeople.main(TestPeople.java:18) Here is my code: import java.util.Comparator; public class People implements Comparator{ private int id; private String info; private double price; public People(int newid, String newinfo, double newprice){ setid(newid); setinfo(newinfo); setprice(newprice); } public int getid() { return id; } public void setid(int id) { this.id = id; } public String getinfo() { return info; } public void setinfo(String info) { this.info = info; } public double getprice() { return price; } public void setprice(double price) { this.price = price; } public int compare(Object obj1, Object obj2) { Integer p1 = ((People)obj1).getid(); Integer p2 = ((People)obj2).getid(); if (p1 p2 ){ return 1; } else if (p1 < p2){ return -1; } else return 0; } } import java.util.ArrayList; import java.util.Collections; public class TestPeople { public static void main(String[] args) { ArrayList peps = new ArrayList(); peps.add(new People(123, "M", 14.25)); peps.add(new People(234, "M", 6.21)); peps.add(new People(362, "F", 9.23)); peps.add(new People(111, "M", 65.99)); peps.add(new People(535, "F", 9.23)); Collections.sort(peps); for(int i=0;i I believe it has to do something with the casting in the compare method but I was playing around with it and still could not find the solution

  • Is there a Scala version of .irbrc or another way to define some default libraries for REPL use?

    - by Tom Morris
I've written a little library that uses implicits to add functionality that one only needs when using the REPL in Scala. Ruby has libraries like this - for things like pretty printing, firing up text editors (like the interactive_editor gem which invokes Vim from irb - see this post), debuggers and the like. The library I am trying to write adds some methods to java.lang.Class and java.lang.reflect classes using the 'pimp my library' implicit conversion process to help you go and find documentation (initially, with Google, then later possibly with a JavaDoc/ScalaDoc viewer, and maybe the StackOverflow API eventually!). It's an itch-scratching library: I spend so much time copying and pasting classnames into Google that I figured I may as well automate the process. It is the sort of functionality that developers will want to add to their system for use only in the REPL - they shouldn't really be adding it to projects (partly because it may not be something that their fellow developers want, but also because if you are doing some exploratory development, it may be with just a Scala REPL that's not being invoked by an IDE or build tool). In my case, I want to include a few classes and set up some implicits - include a .jar on the CLASSPATH and import it, basically. In Ruby, this is the sort of thing that you'd add to your .irbrc file. Other REPLs have similar ways of setting options and importing libraries. Is there a similar file or way of doing this for the Scala REPL?

  • Java threads, wait time always 00:00:00-Producer/Consumer

    - by user3742254
I am currently doing a producer consumer problem with a number of threads and have had to set priorities and waits to them to ensure that one thread, the security thread, runs last. I have managed to do this and I have managed to get the buffer working. The last thing that I am required to do is to show the wait time of threads that are too large for the buffer and to calculate the average wait time. I have included code to do so, but everything I run the program, the wait time is always returned as 00:00:00, and by extension, the average is returned as the same. I was speaking to one of my colleagues who said that it is not a matter of the code but rather a matter of the computer needing to work off of one processor, which can be adjusted in the task manager settings. He has an HP like myself but his program prints the wait time 180 times, whereas mine prints usually about 3-7 times and is only 00:00:01 on one instance before finishing when I have made the processor adjustments. My other colleague has an iMac and hers puts out an average of 42:00:34(42 minutes??) I am very confused about this because I can see no difference between our codes and like my colleague said, I was wondering is it a computer issue. I am obviously concerned as I wanted to make sure that my code correctly calculated an average wait time, but that is impossible to tell when the wait times always show as 00:00:00. To calculate the thread duration, including the time it entered and exited the buffer was done by using a timestamp import, and then subtracting start time from end time. Is my code correct for this issue or is there something which is missing? I would be very grateful for any solutions. Below is my code: My buffer class package com.Com813cw; import java.text.DateFormat; import java.text.SimpleDateFormat; /** * Created by Rory on 10/08/2014. */ class Buffer { private int contents, count = 0, process = 200; • What is the performance impact of CSS's universal selector?

    - by Bungle
I'm trying to find some simple client-side performance tweaks in a page that receives millions of monthly pageviews. One concern that I have is the use of the CSS universal selector (*). As an example, consider a very simple HTML document like the following: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/> <title>Example</title> <style type="text/css"> * { margin: 0; padding: 0; } </head> <body> <h1>This is a heading</h1> <p>This is a paragraph of text.</p> </body> </html> The universal selector will apply the above declaration to the body, h1 and p elements, since those are the only ones in the document. In general, would I see better performance from a rule such as: body, h1, p { margin: 0; padding: 0; } Or would this have exactly the same net effect? Essentially, what I'm asking is if these rules are effectively equivalent in this case, or if the universal selector has to perform more unnecessary work that I may not be aware of. I realize that the performance impact in this example may be very small, but I'm hoping to learn something that may lead to more significant performance improvements in real-world situations. Thanks for any help!

  • IE6 transparency+radio button can't be clicked

    - by Jonas Byström
IE6: when I place a partially transparent image in a div, the radio buttons in that div that overlap the non-transparent pixels of the image become unclickable. Example: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <style media="screen" type="text/css"> div { position: relative; width: 500px; height: 300px; _filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src=http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/fc/Olympic_flag_transparent.svg/200px-Olympic_flag_transparent.svg.png, sizingMethod='crop'); } input { position: absolute; top: 40px; left: 60px; } </style> </head> <body> <div> <input type="radio" value="1" name="1"/> </div> </body> </html> If you test the code, you can also try moving the button from (60, 40) to (40, 40) where the image is transparent, and voilà - the clicking is back in business again. This bug might, or might not, be related to the IE6 links transparency bug, but I'm not knowledgable enough to grasp any resemblence. Have I done something wrong? Or how can I circumvent? Is there some other option apart from removing the _filter:progid?

  • Issue reading in a cell from Excel with Apache POI

    - by Nick
I am trying to use Apache POI to read in old (pre-2007 and XLS) Excel files. My program goes to the end of the rows and iterates back up until it finds something that's not either null or empty. Then it iterates back up a few times and grabs those cells. This program works just fine reading in XLSX and XLS files made in Office 2010. I get the following error message: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NumberFormatException: empty String at sun.misc.FloatingDecimal.readJavaFormatString(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Double.parseDouble(Unknown Source) at the line: num = Double.parseDouble(str); from the code: str = cell.toString(); if (str != "" || str != null) { System.out.println("Cell is a string"); num = Double.parseDouble(str); } else { System.out.println("Cell is numeric."); num = cell.getNumericCellValue(); } where the cell is the last cell in the document that's not empty or null. When I try to print the first cell that's not empty or null, it prints nothing, so I think I'm not accessing it correctly.

  • [solved] IE6 PNG-transparency CSS hack not working

    - by John
I looked around and decided to use a CSS approach rather than rely on JS... I figure the kind of corporate users stuck with IE6 might also have JS disabled by IT departments. So In my HTML I have: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8" /> <title>My Page</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="default.css" /> <!--[if IE 6]><link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ie6.css"><![endif]--> </head> <body> <img src="media/logo.png"/> </body> Then my ie6.css consists simply of: img { filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(...); } However none of this makes the slightest difference, no transparency. I commented out all the rest of the page so it is literally that one and still no luck. I removed the default.css stylesheet and still no difference. EDIT: I now got it working, using the .htc method, loading that file in a conditional IE6 test block. It turned out the problem I was having was that Windows 7 had 'locked' the file (I don't even know what this means) and this blocked IE from loading/using it.

  • NullPointerException on Activity Testing Tutorial

    - by Bendik
Hello, I am currently trying the activity testing tutorial (Found here), and have a problem. It seems that whenever I try to call something inside the UIThread, I get a java.lang.NullPointerException. public void testSpinnerUI() { mActivity.runOnUiThread( new Runnable() { public void run() { mSpinner.requestFocus(); } }); } This gives me: Incomplete: java.lang.NullPointerException and nothing else. I have tried this on two different samples now, with the same result. I tried with a try/catch clause around the mSpinner.requestFocus() call, and it seems that mSpinner is null inside the thread. I have set it properly up with the setUp() function found in the same sample, and a quick assertNotNull( mSpinner ) shows me that mSpinner is in fact not null after the setUp() function. What can be the cause of this? EDIT; ok, some more testing has been done. It seems that the application that is being tested resets between each test. This essentially makes me have to reinstantiate all variables between each test. Is this normal?

  • How to limit setAccessible to only "legitimate" uses?

    - by polygenelubricants
The more I learned about the power of setAccessible, the more astonished I am at what it can do. This is adapted from my answer to the question (Using reflection to change static final File.separatorChar for unit testing). import java.lang.reflect.*; public class EverythingIsTrue { static void setFinalStatic(Field field, Object newValue) throws Exception { field.setAccessible(true); Field modifiersField = Field.class.getDeclaredField("modifiers"); modifiersField.setAccessible(true); modifiersField.setInt(field, field.getModifiers() & ~Modifier.FINAL); field.set(null, newValue); } public static void main(String args[]) throws Exception { setFinalStatic(Boolean.class.getField("FALSE"), true); System.out.format("Everything is %s", false); // "Everything is true" } } You can do truly outrageous stuff: public class UltimateAnswerToEverything { static Integer[] ultimateAnswer() { Integer[] ret = new Integer[256]; java.util.Arrays.fill(ret, 42); return ret; } public static void main(String args[]) throws Exception { EverythingIsTrue.setFinalStatic( Class.forName("java.lang.Integer$IntegerCache") .getDeclaredField("cache"), ultimateAnswer() ); System.out.format("6 * 9 = %d", 6 * 9); // "6 * 9 = 42" } } Presumably the API designers realize how abusable setAccessible can be, but must have conceded that it has legitimate uses to provide it. So my questions are: What are the truly legitimate uses for setAccessible? Could Java has been designed as to NOT have this need in the first place? What would the negative consequences (if any) of such design be? Can you restrict setAccessible to legitimate uses only? Is it only through SecurityManager? How does it work? Whitelist/blacklist, granularity, etc? Is it common to have to configure it in your applications?

  • (JBoss) Problem with .war project on production, while test works

    - by ikky
Hello. I have a java project (using Spring mvc) which i have built and deployed on my local computer. It runs on a JBoss application server, and works fine on the local machine. The next step i do, is to copy the deployed project.war from the local machine to the server which has the same development environment as the local machine. I stop the JBoss server, delete the cache, and run the JBoss server again. When i now try to run one of the pages(xx.xxx.xxx:8080/webservice/test.htm), i get this exception: exception org.springframework.web.util.NestedServletException: Request processing failed; nested exception is java.lang.NullPointerException org.springframework.web.servlet.FrameworkServlet.processRequest(FrameworkServlet.java:583) root cause java.lang.NullPointerException com.project.db.DBCustomer.isCredentialsCorrect(DBCustomer.java:44) com.project.CreateHController.handleRequest(CreateHController.java:60) org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.SimpleControllerHandlerAdapter.handle(SimpleControllerHandlerAdapter.java:48) org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet.doDispatch(DispatcherServlet.java:875) org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet.doService(DispatcherServlet.java:807) org.springframework.web.servlet.FrameworkServlet.processRequest(FrameworkServlet.java:571) org.springframework.web.servlet.FrameworkServlet.doGet(FrameworkServlet.java:501) javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:697) javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:810) org.jboss.web.tomcat.filters.ReplyHeaderFilter.doFilter(ReplyHeaderFilter.java:75) It seems like none of my classes are reachable. Does anyone have any idea of what is wrong? btw: as i said, the project works fine on the local machine.

  • making clean page via page.tpl.php

    - by user360051
I have a Drupal module creating a page via hook_menu(). I am trying to make it so the page has no extraneous html output, only what I want. You can view the page here, http://www.thomashansen.me/chat/thomas. If you look at the source, you can see a strange script tag at the end. My page-chat.tpl.php looks like this, <?php // $Id$ ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="<?php print $language->language ?>" lang="<?php print $language->language ?>" dir="<?php print $language->dir ?>"> <head> </head> <body> <?php print $content; ?> </body> </html> Where is that script tag coming from? and how do I get rid of it? If you need more information just ask.

  • Are there any code critique sites or similar resources?

    - by Ukko
I have noticed when people post example code illustrating some issue that they are having often they will gather a number of comments addressing the quality of the code they presented and not the actual problem asked. This is very helpful--if not well directed. Often, this is wasted effort since the asker is often not receptive and the code is often chopped down to something small to post leaving lots of rough edges. In the old days you would see people asking questions like this on comp.lang.lisp and other parts of the comp.lang hierarchy. But that bit of the net kind of sank into the sewers of neglect. Is there a comparable one-stop-shop today? I am partially asking for selfish reasons, I know how to write good idiomatic C, Lisp, O'Caml, and Java code. But I learned C++ pre-template and STL, those rusty skills are not really applicable to today's C++. I have picked up languages like Scala in a vacuum and get by, but am I really doing it correctly? There are so many ways you can abuse a language, I am currently working against a codebase of Fortran written in C, and I recognize and loathe the "that guy" who wrote it. I don't want to be someone else's "that guy" if I can help it. Just because it works does not mean that one did not totally miss the boat on how it should have been done. Do you seek out this type of critique? If so how, where and why? What types of benefits do you derive from it? How about abuse and trolls?

  • Weird compile-time behavior when trying to use primitive type in generics

    - by polygenelubricants
import java.lang.reflect.Array; public class PrimitiveArrayGeneric { static <T> T[] genericArrayNewInstance(Class<T> componentType) { return (T[]) Array.newInstance(componentType, 0); } public static void main(String args[]) { int[] intArray; Integer[] integerArray; intArray = (int[]) Array.newInstance(int.class, 0); // Okay! integerArray = genericArrayNewInstance(Integer.class); // Okay! intArray = genericArrayNewInstance(int.class); // Compile time error: // cannot convert from Integer[] to int[] integerArray = genericArrayNewInstance(int.class); // Run time error: // ClassCastException: [I cannot be cast to [Ljava.lang.Object; } } I'm trying to fully understand how generics works in Java. Things get a bit weird for me in the 3rd assignment in the above snippet: the compiler is complaining that Integer[] cannot be converted to int[]. The statement is 100% true, of course, but I'm wondering WHY the compiler is making this complaint. If you comment that line, and follow the compiler's "suggestion" as in the 4th assignment, the compiler is actually satisfied!!! NOW the code compiles just fine! Which is crazy, of course, since like the run time behavior suggests, int[] cannot be converted to Object[] (which is what T[] is type-erased into at run time). So my question is: why is the compiler "suggesting" that I assign to Integer[] instead for the 3rd assignment? How does the compiler reason to arrive to that (erroneous!) conclusion?

  • hibernate executeUpdate IndexOutOfBounds

    - by luke
I am trying to use an HQL to perform a simple update in hibernate, but i can't seem to get it to work. i have a query template defined as: private static final String CHANGE_DEVICE_STATUS = "UPDATE THING" +"SET ACTIVE = ? " +"WHERE ID = ?"; and then i try to execute it like this: Session s = HibernateSessionFactory.getSession(); Query query = s.createQuery(CHANGE_DEVICE_STATUS); query.setBoolean(0, is_active); query.setLong(1, id); query.executeUpdate(); But now i get this error: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 0, Size: 0 at java.util.ArrayList.RangeCheck(ArrayList.java:547) at java.util.ArrayList.get(ArrayList.java:322) at org.hibernate.hql.ast.HqlSqlWalker.postProcessUpdate(HqlSqlWalker.java:390) at org.hibernate.hql.antlr.HqlSqlBaseWalker.statement(HqlSqlBaseWalker.java:164) at org.hibernate.hql.ast.QueryTranslatorImpl.analyze(QueryTranslatorImpl.java:189) at org.hibernate.hql.ast.QueryTranslatorImpl.doCompile(QueryTranslatorImpl.java:130) at org.hibernate.hql.ast.QueryTranslatorImpl.compile(QueryTranslatorImpl.java:83) at org.hibernate.impl.SessionFactoryImpl.getQuery(SessionFactoryImpl.java:427) at org.hibernate.impl.SessionImpl.getQueries(SessionImpl.java:884) at org.hibernate.impl.SessionImpl.executeUpdate(SessionImpl.java:865) at org.hibernate.impl.QueryImpl.executeUpdate(QueryImpl.java:89) .... what am i doing wrong here? I am using hibernate 3.0 UPDATE i changed it to Query query = s.createQuery(CHANGE_DEVICE_STATUS); query.setBoolean(1, is_active); query.setLong(2, id);//<---throws here query.executeUpdate(); without changing anything else but the parameter indexes and i got this: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Positional parameter does not exist: 2 in query: UPDATE DEVICE_INSTANCES SET ACTIVE = ? • Automatically creating DynaActionForms in Mockrunner via struts-config.xml

    - by T Reddy
I'm switching from MockStrutsTestCase to Mockrunner and I'm finding that having to manually re-create all of my DynaActionForms in Mockrunner is a pain...there has to be an easier way?! Can somebody offer a tip to simplify this process? For instance, this form bean definition in struts-config.xml: <form-bean name="myForm" type="org.apache.struts.action.DynaActionForm"> <form-property name="property" type="java.lang.String"/> </form-bean> results in this code in Mockrunner: //define form config FormBeanConfig config = new FormBeanConfig(); config.setName("myForm"); config.setType(DynaActionForm.class.getName()); FormPropertyConfig property = new FormPropertyConfig(); property.setName("property"); property.setType("java.lang.String"); config.addFormPropertyConfig(property); //create mockrunner objects ActionMockObjectFactory factory = new ActionMockObjectFactory(); ActionTestModule module = new ActionTestModule(factory); DynaActionForm form = module.createDynaActionForm(config); Now imagine that I have dozens of DynaActionForms with dozens of attributes...that stinks!

  • Why am I getting a ClassCastException here?

    - by Holly
I'm creating an android application and i'm trying to use a PreferenceActivity. I'm getting the java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.String error when it gets to this line return PreferenceManager.getDefaultSharedPreferences(context).getInt(USER_TERM, USER_TERM_DEF); I thought it might be because I'm not converting it properly from it's string value in the EditText box to the int I need but I can't figure out how to fix this, or is that even the cause? I'm flummoxed. Here's my preference activity class: public class UserPrefs extends PreferenceActivity { //option names and default vals private static final String USER_TERM = "term_length"; private static final String USER_YEAR = "year_length"; private static final int USER_TERM_DEF = 12; private static final int USER_YEAR_DEF = 34; @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState){ super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); addPreferencesFromResource(R.xml.preferences); } public static int getTermLength(Context context){ try{ return PreferenceManager.getDefaultSharedPreferences(context).getInt(USER_TERM, USER_TERM_DEF); }catch (ClassCastException e){Log.v("getTermLength", "error::: " + e); } //return 1;//temporary, needed to catch the error and couldn't without adding a return outside the block.// } public static int getYearLength(Context context){ return PreferenceManager.getDefaultSharedPreferences(context).getInt(USER_YEAR, USER_YEAR_DEF); } And here's the bit of code where I'm trying to use the the preferences inside another class: public float alterForFrequency(Context keypadContext, float enteredAmount, String spinnerPosition){ int termLength = UserPrefs.getTermLength(keypadContext); int yearLength = UserPrefs.getYearLength(keypadContext); } The complete android logcat, i've uploaded here: http://freetexthost.com/v3t4ta3wbi

  • Is it possible to have an enum field in a class persisted with OrmLite?

    - by htf
Hello. I'm trying to persist the following class with OrmLite: public class Field { @DatabaseField(id = true) public String name; @DatabaseField(canBeNull = false) public FieldType type; public Field() { } } The FieldType is a public enum. The field, corresponding to the type is string in SQLite (is doesn't support enums). When I try to use it, I get the following exception: INFO [main] (SingleConnectionDataSource.java:244) - Established shared JDBC Connection: org.sqlite.Conn@5224ee Exception in thread "main" org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanInitializationException: Initialization of DAO failed; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unknown field class class enums.FieldType for field FieldType:name=type, class=class orm.Field at org.springframework.dao.support.DaoSupport.afterPropertiesSet(DaoSupport.java:51) at orm.FieldDAO.getInstance(FieldDAO.java:17) at orm.Field.fromString(Field.java:23) at orm.Field.main(Field.java:38) Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unknown field class class enums.FieldType for field FieldType:name=type, class=class orm.Field at com.j256.ormlite.field.FieldType.<init>(FieldType.java:54) at com.j256.ormlite.field.FieldType.createFieldType(FieldType.java:381) at com.j256.ormlite.table.DatabaseTableConfig.fromClass(DatabaseTableConfig.java:82) at com.j256.ormlite.dao.BaseJdbcDao.initDao(BaseJdbcDao.java:116) at org.springframework.dao.support.DaoSupport.afterPropertiesSet(DaoSupport.java:48) ... 3 more So how do I tell OrmLite, values on the Java side are from an enum?

  • Java Class<T> static method forName() IncompatibleClassChangeError

    - by matt
Hi, i have this code: private static Importable getRightInstance(String s) throws Exception { Class<? extends Importable> c = Class.forName(s).asSubclass(Importable.class); Importable i = c.newInstance(); return i; } which i can also write private static Importable getRightInstance(String s) throws Exception { Class<? extends Importable> c = (Class<? extends Importable>)Class.forName(s); Importable i = c.newInstance(); return i; } or private static Importable getRightInstance(String s) throws Exception { Class<?> c = Class.forName(s); Importable i = (Importable)c.newInstance(); return i; } where Importable is an interface and s is a string representing an implementing class. Well, in any case it gives the following: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError: class C1 has interface Importable as super class Here is the last snippet of the stack trace: at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:169) at Importer.getRightImportable(Importer.java:33) at Importer.importAll(Importer.java:44) at Test.main(Test.java:16) Now, class C1 actually implemens Importable and i totally don't understand why it complaints. Thanks in advance.

  • Namespace Traversal

    I am trying to parse the following sample piece of XML: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <soapenv:Body> <d2LogicalModel modelBaseVersion="1.0" xmlns="http://datex2.eu/schema/1_0/1_0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://datex2.eu/schema/1_0/1_0 http://datex2.eu/schema/1_0/1_0/DATEXIISchema_1_0_1_0.xsd"> <payloadPublication xsi:type="PredefinedLocationsPublication" lang="en"> <predefinedLocationSet id="GUID-NTCC-VariableMessageSignLocations"> <predefinedLocation id="VMS30082775"> <predefinedLocationName> <value lang="en">VMS M60/9084B</value> </predefinedLocationName> </predefinedLocation> </predefinedLocationSet> </payloadPublication> </d2LogicalModel> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope> I specifically need to get at the contents of the top-level predefinedLocation tag. By my calculations, the correct XPath should be /soapenv:Envelope/soapenv:Body/d2LogicalModel/payloadPublication/predefinedLocationSet/predefinedLocation I am using the following C# code to parse the XML: string filename = "content-sample.xml"; XmlDocument xmlDoc = new XmlDocument(); xmlDoc.Load(filename); XmlNamespaceManager nsmanager = new XmlNamespaceManager(xmlDoc.NameTable); nsmanager.AddNamespace("soapenv", "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/Envelope"); string xpath ="/soapenv:Envelope/soapenv:Body/d2LogicalModel/payloadPublication/predefinedLocationSet/predefinedLocation"; XmlNodeList itemNodes = xmlDoc.SelectNodes(xpath, nsmanager); However, this keeps coming up with no results. Can anyone shed any light on this, because I feel like I'm banging my head on a brick wall.

  • Issue selenium code maintenance

    - by Rajasankar
I want to group the common methods in one file and use it. For example, login to a page using selenium may be used in multiple times. Define that in class A and call it in class B. However, it throws null pointer exception. class A has public void test_Login() throws Exception { try{ selenium.setTimeout("60000"); selenium.open("http://localhost"); selenium.windowFocus(); selenium.windowMaximize(); selenium.windowFocus(); selenium.type("userName", "admin"); selenium.type("password", "admin"); Result=selenium.isElementPresent("//input[@type='image']"); selenium.click("//input[@type='image']"); selenium.waitForPageToLoad(Timeout); } catch(Exception ex) { System.out.println(ex); ex.printStackTrace(); } } with all other java syntax in class B public void test_kk() throws Exception { try { a.test_Login(); } catch(Exception ex) { System.out.println(ex); ex.printStackTrace(); } } with all syntax. When I execute class B, I got this error, java.lang.NullPointerException at A.test_Login(A.java:32) at B.test_kk(savefile.java:58) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at junit.framework.TestCase.runTest(TestCase.java:168) at junit.framework.TestCase.runBare(TestCase.java:134) at com.thoughtworks.selenium.SeleneseTestCase.runBare(SeleneseTestCase.j ava:212) at junit.framework.TestResult$1.protect(TestResult.java:110) at junit.framework.TestResult.runProtected(TestResult.java:128) at junit.framework.TestResult.run(TestResult.java:113) at junit.framework.TestCase.run(TestCase.java:124) at junit.framework.TestSuite.runTest(TestSuite.java:232) at junit.framework.TestSuite.run(TestSuite.java:227) at junit.textui.TestRunner.doRun(TestRunner.java:116) at junit.textui.TestRunner.doRun(TestRunner.java:109) at junit.textui.TestRunner.run(TestRunner.java:77) at B.main(B.java:77) I hope someone must have tried this before.
