  • Using Wordpress as more than just a blog?

    I have been making plans to create a site that would contain several different sections, such as several blog feeds for reviews and articals, a forum, and also a stock site where people can sell/buy photos. I was planning on doing this in PHP, but have recently started using wordpress and found it to be very powerful. is a site like this too "advanced" to be done in wordpress?

    Hi, I need to figure out the value of data strings with jquery, for example like this: { label: "Beginner", data: 2}, { label: "Advanced", data: 12}, { label: "Expert", data: 22}, to add them up.   • Configuration file for PHP server script

    Right now I have a very high volume of requests coming to my webserver which execute a PHP CGI script. Every one of these scripts opens up a config file that I have created to load options of how the script should run. Doing a file I/O operation everytime a request comes in seems very resource intensive to me. I'm not too familiar with the advanced features of PHP, are there any alternatives to achieve what I'm doing?

  • Why is my site displaying differently In Firefox than in Safari?

    I manage a website called ShareDen.com (http://shareden.com/home) and it looks the right way in Mozilla Firefox and it's totally completely discombobulated in Safari. I Haven't tested it in other broswer's (still in process) however my guess is it looks horrible in IE 8. Could it be because I just added the CSS Sticky Footer to my site? I sell it in ranges of licenses: 1-10 : $50/user 11-20 : $40/user 21-30 : $30/user 31-50 : $20/user So when someone purchases 136 licenses, I will charge him: 100 X $20 = $2000 30 X $30 = $900 6 X $50 = $300 How can I do this in plain C# or LINQ?
