  • How to disable listbox auto select item when pressing key

    I have a listbox where I want to copy and paste items within that listbox. Copy and paste works fine but everytime I press "Crtl + C" the item starting with the letter C is automatically selected.     I have created a view in interface builder that contains another view (content area) and a button bar at the bottom. The hierarchy is as: ->View --->mapContainer UIView ----->map MKMapView ----->OverlayView UIView --->ToolBar UIToolBar I would like the mapContainer to resize to full window when the ToolBar is hidden. I would like the map and the OverlayView to resize to the mapContainer size I have attempted the following code, but it has no effect. Some of the questions are identical such as fields related to personal information. I'm thinking of using ASP.NET MVC to build this web application.     I'm new to programming in C and have been given the task of creating a 2D array that stores random letters from A-Z using the random () function. I know how to do random numbers. nextvalue = random ( ) % 10001; but am unsure on how exactly to create a random character. I know that you can use ASCII to create a random character using the range 65 - 90 in the ASCII table. Can anyone help me come up with a solution? I would greatly appreciate it.

    Suppose I have a class A and a class B. The .h of A, needs the .h of B, and the .h of B needs the .h of A. (need = #include). All .h have the guards: #ifndef _classX_ #define _classX_ ... ... #endif But if I compile the .cpp of A, then when it includes the .h of B, the B class cannot include the .h of A class because the A class has already use the guard. How can i solve this?

  • Jquery UI Dialog Empty On Auto-Open

    I am having a somewhat strange error with my jquery dialog. When I have it autoopen, the dialog box is completely empty. If I exit out of the dialog and then reopen (through the standard dialog open event) the content appears. The jquery setup: $("#content_locker").dialog({ autoOpen: true, modal: true, height: 600, width: 800 }); Here you can see the webpage that I am working on (it is a link-shortening service). The dialog div starts on line 148 of the source: <div id="content_locker" title="Exclusive Content"> You will see that the dialog is empty. If you exit out and click on the unlock button, the proper html is there. Any ideas?

What I want is basically this (written out for simplicity): b = 0 test = [[]] test[b] << ["a", "b", "c"] b += 1 test[b] << ["d", "e", "f"] b += 1 test[b] << ["g", "h", "i"] This gives me the error: NoMethodError: undefined method `<<' for nil:NilClass. I can make it work by setting up the array like test = [[], [], []] and it works fine, but in my actual usage, I won't know how many arrays will be needed beforehand. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks

    I am hoping to create 3 (non-negative) quasi-random numbers that sum to one, and repeat over and over. Basically I am trying to partition something into three random parts over many trials. While I am aware of a= runif(3,0,1) I was thinking that I could use 1-a as the max in the next run if, but it seems messy. But these of course don't sum to one. Any thoughts, oh wise stackoverflow-ers?

    I have defined a java class, but only need to output some of the fields of this class into an XML. The returned type must be a String. I first opted for the easiest way using a StringBuffer. However, when I tried to process the output String represenation, it failed. I think it is mostly likely because there are some characters that are not encoded in the UTF-8 in the input. Could someone tell me what is the best way to handle this? Thanks.

In my index.html.erb and in my index.js.erb, if I have: <%= "string with unsafe characters' like <" %> It will automatically be encoded to: string with unsafe characters&quot; like &amp; just the same as if I had used: <%=h "string with unsafe characters' like <" %> How do I get it to stop? I have stored some short bits of JavaScript that I need to insert into the template without it automatically encoding the string?
