  • User control event or method override where custom properties are valid?

    I have an ASP.NET user control that is used in another use control. The parent user control uses data-binding to bind to a custom property of the child user control. What method can I override or page event where I am ensured that the property state is set? I think in a page it is PageLoaded versus the Page_Load override? I am looking for this in the user control because my property is always null even though it is set. Thanks.

How in the SelectedIndexChanged event do I determine what colmun was pressed.     Hello Friends, I am working on horizontal menu that will open on top of the screen. Layout is something like following, || < || Menu Item1 || Menu Item2 || Menu Item3 || || I want to put this on top of the screen. It can have more than 3 menu item and it can traverse through previous and next arrow. I started with like this, RelativeLayout ( width - fill_parent) Gallery View ( Here i appended adapter ) There is two problem, - Gallery view contains the space before and after - While scrolling its item gets selected Though its not ideal solution for this.   • Trying to re-create UI object from the native iPhone Calendar Notes

    Probably a lame question for a start but i'm trying to re-create the ui object that's used in Apple's native Calendar to create notes. It's the basic text-field but with multiple lines. Sort of a text-area. Now i know that anything from the calendar in terms of ui objects isn't available but i have seen this in quite few apps so i'm guessing it's some sort of standard component. I must be dumb but i just cannot find it. Help please... Thx :)

  • How to assign a numbering scheme to TreeNodes based on position

    I have a TreeView control in a Windows Forms application that is displaying my own subclass of TreeNode. I need to display a number along with each node's text indicating its position in the tree, like 1 for the root, 1.1 for its first child, 1.2 for its second child, etc. I'm using C# with .NET 2.0 The best that I can come up with is, after the tree is built, go to each node, recursively find the parent and append the parent's sibling number to the front of the node's text until you reach the root.

    Hi, this is just a question to discuss - what is the best way to make a view/edit control in WPF? E.g. we have an entity object Person, that has some props (name, surname, address, phone etc.). One presentation of the control would be a read-only view. And the other would have the edit view for this same person.     I have an ASP button for which I have set the OnClientClick property to display a javascript confirm message. However, I only want this message to be displayed AFTER all of the client side validations have passed. How can I do this? Essentially, I believe that I need to force Page level validation from the client and then, only if it passes, display the confirmation box.

  • Problem using a costum server control in a aspx

    Hi guys, i am having a issue. I already developed one class (my custom gridview) and i want use it on a .aspx That class is defined in app_code and compiled to the dll of the project. namespace MyCostumControls{  public class DropDownPagingGridView : GridView{ ... I already registered the control on the aspx page using <%@ Register Namespace="MyCostumControls" TagPrefix="ctrl" % and i can use in the page and works ok.. But i'm watching one problem. That class contains methods defined by me, than when i try to call them in code-behind sayd to me than they're not defined. In designed i don't see the reference to MyCostumControls, and when i try declare one field using protected global::MyCostumControls.MyCostumControls ddl_gv_errors, i cannot access to MyCostumControls namespace, Is because he's compiled to the project dll? I can access to all namespaces than are not contained in app_code. Solutions? Apreciate. Thanks

    I have Button control and I have to set the IsEanbled property based on the bool variable. bool IsBoolVariable I want if IsBoolVariable property is true then I want to set the IsEnabled property to false AND when IsBoolVariable property is false then I want to set the IsEnabled property to true. Is it possible to apply not(!) operator while defining the binding as given below <Button IsEnabled = "{Binding Path = **!**IsBoolVariable}" /> I can very well do that by applying convertors , but that is the only way to do that?

    I have created a custom combobox that has a LABEL property so when we drop it on a form, we can say the Label associated with this ComboBox is say Label2 this is what I wrote for its label property.
