    Howdy, take a look at this please http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=te-HVN8y_QE&hd=1 . Notice the embedded "logo" in the upper left corner? How blurry and pixelated it is? This is the original image: http://i.imagehost.org/0148/movie_watermark.png ! The stretching, blurring, pixelating etc. most likely comes from resizing the original video from 1920x1200 to 1280x720 and encoding it with h.264. Can anyone tell me how I can prevent the blurring, unsharpening and pixelating and retain their original quality? How do I exclude the logo from the whole encoding process and just slap it there in its original format and form?

    Is there a way (a google search, maybe?) to list/find all Youtube videos embedded under a single domain? There used to be (if memory servers) an option on youtube, to find all videos from a single site (they were referencing them as "blogs"), but was available for short period of time and it totally disappeared. I was experimenting with a couple google searches, but to no avail, like this one: site:theverge.com intext:"youtube.com/embed" Even if it worked, it wouldn't provide elegant "thumbnailed" results. Anyone has any ideas? Thanks

    Is there a possibility to search when the embedded txt file was created in the word document? I'm working in Word 2010 and the extension of the document is simple: .doc It was inserted using the Word options: Insert -> Object -> Create from file -> Insert as icon Thank you, I already tried the right click and properties option, but the problem with it, that it shows only the current date for all of the 3 options (created/modified/accessed). I also tried to get the timestamp but it is inactive when I'm on the txt object. Sorry not to mention it before: Thank you all of you here for the help and support it is really appreciated.

  • Visual Studio 2010 localization resource files, how to add in strings automatically?

    I have a certain project that has a resource directory with a .resx for each language supported in the product. Right now I am adding these strings by hand using the visual studio 2010 IDE, but because there are a large number of strings, this manual management of these resources can get tricky, and something can easily get omitted in perhaps just 1 .resx file. Do you get a good resource addon for visual studio 2010, that will allow you to sync and validate a group of resx files? The built in functionality for handling resx seems the same as it was in 2008, and requires a lot of manual effort. I guess what would be nice would be to have the ability to define all resources in the main language, then have these strings carried across to the remaining languages automatically. Does such functionality exist? Even a good codeplex project perhaps?

    Using VS2010 and .net V4.0 I would like to achieve the following: I already have 2 resource files in my project for 2 languages - English and Czech. I must say Resource Management in .net is excellent, I am suprised even to get code completion when implementing a String for example: string desc = Strings.ResourceManagerDesc This gets the string associated with the current culture of the thread. Now I am trying to create an Enum that can have the String portion of the Enum interpreted from the Strings resources. In the following way (This code DOES NOT WORK): public enum DownloadStatus { 1 = Strings.DownloadState_Complete, 2 = Strings.DownloadState_Failed, 3 = Strings.DownloadState_InProgress } This is a made up example, but you can see the point here. Since the above code won't work, is there a best practice way to achieve what I want?

  • Do you know of a good program for editing/translating resource (.rc) files?

    I'm building a C++/MFC program in a multilingual environment. I have one main (national) language and three international languages. Every time I add a feature to the program I have to keep the international languages up-to-date with the national one. The resource editor in Visual Studio is not very helpful because I frequently end up leaving a string, dialog box, etc., untranslated. I wonder if you guys know of a program that can edit resource (.rc) files and Build a file that includes only the strings to be translated and their respective IDs and accepts the same (or similar) file in another language (this would be helpful since usually the translation is done by someone else), or Handle the translations itself, allowing to view the same string in different languages at the same time.

  • moving EDMX file System.Data.MetadataException: Unable to load the specified metadata resource.

    I have a ASP.NET MVC 2 project. I've created edmx file on the class library project that holds the model. now I've created another class library called it shared and moved the edmx file over there. resolved some issues, everything compiles, but it can't find the connection string resource at runtime. I've copied the ConnectionString part of the Web.Config to the main file, the old class library app.config file and the new class library app.config file. Still get this error: System.Data.MetadataException: Unable to load the specified metadata resource. Line 75: public myProjdb() : base("name=myProjdb", "MyProjdb") in the MyProj.Designer.cs file. Any Idea how to resolve this issue ? Is there a better way to store connection string data ?

  • Why does Resource Monitor in windows 7 show half my memory as "Hardware Reserved"?

    Does anyone know why in Windows 7 Resource Monitor shows that I have 8 GB of RAM installed on my computer, but I only have 3.2 GB available as 4.8 GB are in "Hardware Reserve". I researched this issue and tried going into msconfig and making sure that in the boot options the number of processors and max memory options were turned off. I also opened the computer up and reseated each of the memory sticks while clearing out any dust that was in there. Some info on the system I am using: OS: Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit Edition CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9750 Memory: 4 X 2GB DDR2 memory Motherboard: MS-7548 (Aspen) Any help would be much appreciated.

My problem comes up when it's time to persist an object. At runtime, I can create an object which could be an instance of DerivedClass, DerivedClassA or DerivedClassB. As you can see, each one of the derived classes introduces a new field which only makes sense for that specific derived class. All the classes share the same physical table in the database. If I persist an object of type DerivedClass, I expect fields BE_FIELD, DE_FIELD, ID and TYPE to be persisted with their values and the remaining fields to be null. If I persist an object of type DerivedClass A, I expect those same fields plus the FIELD_CLASS_A field to be persisted with their values and field FIELD_CLASS_B to be null. Something equivalent for an object of type DerivedClassB. Since the @Embedded annotation is at the BaseClass only, Hibernate is only persisting the fields up to that level in the tree. I don't know how to tell Hibernate that I want to persist up to the appropriate level in the tree, depending on the actual type of the embedded property. I cannot have another @Embedded property in the subclasses since this would duplicate data that is already present in the superclass and would also break the Java model. I cannot declare the embedded property to be of a more specific type either, since it's only at runtime when the actual object is created and I don't have a single branch in the hierarchy. Is it possible to solve my problem? Or should I resignate myself to accept that there is no way to persist the Java model as it is? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I see the English text from the resource file, which is correct. Oracle recently announced Oracle Enterprise Manager Plug-in for Amazon Web Services (AWS) allows you to achieve that goal. The on-premise Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM12c) acts as a single tool to get a comprehensive view of your public AWS resources as well as your private cloud resources.  By deploying the plug-in within your Cloud Control environment, you gain the following management features: Monitor EBS, EC2 and RDS instances on Amazon Web Services Gather performance metrics and configuration details for AWS instances Raise alerts and violations based on thresholds set on monitoring Generate reports based on the gathered data Users of this Plug-in can leverage the rich Enterprise Manager features such as system promotion, incident generation based on thresholds, integration with 3rd party ticketing applications etc. AWS Monitoring via this Plug-in is enabled via Amazon CloudWatch API and the users of this Plug-in are responsible for supplying credentials for accessing AWS and the CloudWatch API. This Plug-in can only be deployed on an EM12C R2 platform and agent version should be at minimum 12c R2.Here is a pictorial view of the overall architecture: Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) Here are a few key features: Rich and exhaustive list of metrics.     If you find that you have a need to created multiple Custom Functoids you may also choose to create a Custom Functoid Library - a single project containing many custom functoids.  As previsouly discussed, the Custom Functoid Wizard can be used to create a project with a new custom functoid inside.  But what if you want to extend this project to include more custom functoids and create your Custom Functoid Library?  First create a Custom Functoid Library project and your first Custom Functoid using the Custom Functoid Wizard. When you open your Custom Functoid Library project in Visual Studio you will see that it contains your custom functoid class file along with its resource file.  One of the items this resource file contains is the ID of the the custom functoid.  Each custom functoid needs a unique ID that is over 6000.  When creating a Custom Functoid Library I would first suggest that you delete the ID from this resource file and instead create a _FunctoidIDs class containing constants for each of your custom functoids.  In this way you can easily see which custom functoid IDs are assigned to which custom functoid and which ID is next in the sequence of availability: namespace MyCompany.BizTalk.Functoids.TestFunctoids {     class _FunctoidIDs     {         public const int TestFunctoid                       = 6001;     } } You will then need to update the base() function in your existing functoid class to reference these constant values rather than the current resource file. From:    int functoidID;    // This has to be a number greater than 6000    functoidID = System.Convert.ToInt32(resmgr.GetString("FunctoidId"));    this.ID = functoidID; To: this.ID = _FunctoidIDs.TestFunctoid; To create a new custom functoid you can copy the existing custom functoid, renaming the resultant class file as appropriate.  Once it is renamed you will need to change the Class name, ResourceName reference and Base function name in the class code to those of your new custom functoid.  You will also need to create a new constant value in the _FunctoidIDs class and update the ID reference in your code to match this.  Assuming that you need some different functionalty from your new  customfunctoid you will need to check or amend the following in your functoid class file: Min and Max connections Functoid Category Input and Output connection types The parameters and functionality of the Execute function To change the appearance of you new custom functoid you will need to check or amend the following in the functoid resource file: Name Description Tooltip Exception Icon You can change the String values by double clicking the resource file and amending the value fields in the string table. To amend the functoid icon you will need to create a 16x16 bitmap image.  Once you have saved this you are then ready to import it into the functoid resource file.  In Visual Studio change the resource view to images, right click the icon and choose import from file. You have now completed your new custom functoid and created a Custom Functoid Library.  You can test your new library of functoids by building the project, copying the resultant DLL to C:\Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009\Developer Tools\Mapper Extensions and then resetting the toolbox in Visual Studio.

  • Hibernate does not allow an embedded object with an int field to be null?

    Hibernate does not allow me to persist an object that contains an null embedded object with an integer field. For example, if I have a class called Thing that looks like this @Entity public class Thing { @Id public String id; public Part part; } where Part is an embeddable class that looks like this @Embeddable public class Part { public String a; public int b; } then trying to persist a Thing object with a null Part causes Hibernate to throw an Exception. In particular, this code Thing th = new Thing(); th.id = "thing.1"; th.part = null; session.saveOrUpdate(th); causes Hibernate to throw this Exception org.hibernate.PropertyValueException: not-null property references a null or transient value: com.ace.moab.api.jobs.Thing.part My guess is that this is happening because Part is an embedded class and so Part.a and Part.b are simply columns in the Thing database table. Since the Thing.part is null Hibernate wants to set the Part.a and Part.b column values to null for the row for thing.1. However, Part.b is an integer and Hibernate will not allow integer columns in the database to be null. This is what causes the Exception, right? So I am looking for workarounds for this problem. I noticed making Part.b an Integer instead of an int seems to work, but for reasons I won't bore you with this is not a good option for us. Thanks!

  • In Rails, how to respect :scope when using validates_uniqueness_of in an embedded object form?

    I have a Book model, which has_many Chapters (which belong_to a Book). I want to ensure uniqueness of Chapter titles, but only within the scope of a single book. The catch is that the form for creating chapters is embedded in the Book model's form (The Book model accepts_nested_attributes_for :chapters). Within the Chapter model: validates_uniqueness_of( :chapter_title, :scope = :book_id, :case_sensitive = false, :message = "No book can have multiple chapters with the same title.") However, when I submit the Book creation form (which also includes multiple embedded Chapter forms), if the chapter title exists in another chapter for a different book, I fail the validation test. Book.create( :chapters => [ Chapter.new(:title => "Introduction"), Chapter.new(:title => "How to build things") => Book 1 successfully created Book.create( :chapters => [ Chapter.new(:title => "Introduction"), Chapter.new(:title => "Destroy things") => Book 2 fails to validate second_book = Book.create( :chapters => [ Chapter.new(:title => "A temporary Introduction title"), Chapter.new(:title => "Destroy things") => Book 2 succesfully created second_book.chapters[0].title= "Introduction" => success second_book.chapters.save => success second_book.save => success Can anyone shed some light on how to do this? Or why it's happening?
