  • MySQL: Changing order of auto-incremented primary keys?

    Hi, I have a table with a auto-incremented primary key: user_id. For a currently theoretical reason, I might need to change a user_id to be something else than it was when originally created through auto-incrementation. This means there's a possibility that the keys will not be in incremental order anymore: PK: 1 2 3 952 // changed key 4 5 6 7 I'm wondering whether this will cause problems, and whether MySQL reads something special to the incremental order of the keys, given that they should have come to existence in incremental order (which persists even when some rows are deleted). Assuming there are no associated foreignkey issues, or that these are under control, is there a problem with "messing with" the order of MySQL's autoincremented keys? Thank you.

  • Keyboard shortcut for Jump to Definition

    I'm looking for a keyboard only shortcut for Jump to Definition. The built-in shortcut requires the mouse: Cmd + Double click. I've tried to add a regular keyboard shorcut for the Edit / Find / Jump to Defintion menu command, but, alas, it will only work when the method name is selected. I'd like to be able to position the cursor within the method name, class name, or other symbol, and hit something like Cmd+Shift+L. Does anyone know of a solution, perhaps using a script, for the problem? Update: The keyboard shortcut works sometimes and sometimes not. When I position the text cursor on a method call with no parameters and press Cmd+Shift+L it takes me to the definition. But it doesn't work for a method that takes an (id) parameter. However it works if the parameter is an int. I have submitted a bug report to Apple.

According to documentation, in owned one-to-many relationships, order of elements in "owner" object collection is determined either by automatically created index field, or by information given in explicit ordering clause. I could not find answer neither in JDO relationships article, nor in Data Classes article :(

I need to write a class that intercepts key strokes, if the input is determined to be from the keyboard wedge (as described in the above post) the data will be directed to POS classes to handle, otherwise they keystrokes must be passed on to be handled in windows in the normal manner. This raises two questions How can I intercept key strokes when not in a WinForm. How can I pass on the keypresses to windows. Thanks JDibble

    Hi all, I am new to unix and am using sun solaris (v10 i think) . I have my shell set as korn shell . i am wondering how to make the arrow keys and delete key work in the command line . I have done set -o emacs and the backspace works , but not the arrow keys and the delete keys . Also is it possible to set the up and down arrow key to cycle through the command line history ? . any help is appreciated .

  • Need to get to the foreign keys of an entity marked as "Deleted" for auditing

    I'm using v1 of EF(.NET 3.5 SP1). I'm subscribing to the SavingChanges event of the ObjectContext wherein I audit deletes for a particular entity type. I need to get to the foreign keys of the entity being deleted i.e EntityKeys of the related entities (RelatedEnds) but the EntityKeys of the related entities are nulls. Is there any way to get to the foreign keys of an entity which has been marked for deletion? Does EF null out the EntityKeys of all RelatedEnds for an entity which has been marked for deletion? If so, is there a way I can get hold of the foreign keys?

    Hello, I'm not a java developer. But I'm currently taking a look at Android applications development so I'm doing a bit of nostalgy, doing some java again after not touching it for three years. I'm looking forward using the "google-api-translate-java" library. In which there is a Language class. It's an enum allowing to provide the language name and to get it's value for Google Translate. I can easily get all the values with : for (Language l : values()) { // Here I loop on one value } But what I'd want to get is a list of all the keys names (FRENCH, ENGLISH, ...). Is there something like a "keys()" method that'd allow me to loop through all the enum's keys ?

  • Obtain all keys of a Neo4j index

    I have a Neo4j database whose content is generated dynamically from a big dataset. All “entry points” nodes are indexed on a named index (IndexManager.forNodes(…)). I can therefore look up a particular “entry point” node. However, I would now like to enumerate all those specific nodes, but I can't know on which key they were indexed. Is there any way to enumerate all keys of a Neo4j Index? If not, what would be the best way to store those keys, a data type that is eminently non-graph-oriented? UPDATE (thanks for asking details :) ): the list would be more than 2 million entries. The main use case would be to never update it after an initialization step, but other use cases might need it, so it has to be somewhat scalable. Also, I would really prefer avoiding killing my current resilience abilities, so storing all keys at once, as opposed to adding them incrementally, would be a last-resort solution.

We can traverse through listbox items using Up and Down arrows where as I wan to traverse the list using Left and Right arrow keys. While I am trying to add the key down event for Listbox, It shows almost all key presses except for Arrow Keys, Home, End and Similar keys.   • Static keyboard in uitableview

    I have a UITableView that holds just two cells with a textfield in each. As my tableview is just for editing the text in these textfields I always want the keyboard to be shown static in the bottom of the screen. So in viewDidLoad I set the first textfield to become first responder. Something I have noticed though is that when I push the UITableViewController into the UINavigationController the keyboard show up a little bit slower so you can see it animate into the screen. It would be much better if it was there already there when the uitableview shows up. I also tried making the textfield first responder before pushing it as recommended but that didn't made the keyboard show at all: MyTableViewController *myTableViewController = [[MyTableViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"MyTableViewController" bundle:nil]; [myTableViewController.textField becomeFirstResponder]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:myTableViewController animated:YES]; [myTableViewController release]; How can I accomplish this?   • Using Private Browsing keyboard shortcut with Firefox and Vimperator

    I am using Firefox 15.0 on OS X Mountain Lion alongside with vimperator. Note that I am using a Windows keyboard. CtrlP is for moving focus to left tab in vimperator. However, the latest Firefox has also CtrlP to enable private browsing. I looked for private browsing with FF "Customizable Shortcuts" addon but there is only CommandShiftP binding associated to it. How can the CtrlP private browsing binding be turned off?

  • sftp and public keys

    I am trying to sftp into an a server hosted by someone else. To make sure this worked I did the standard sftp [email protected] i was promted with the password and that worked fine. I am setting up a cron script to send a file once a week so have given them our public key which they claim to have added to their authorized_keys file. I now try sftp [email protected] again and I am still prompted for a password, but now the password doesn't work... Connecting to [email protected]... [email protected]'s password: Permission denied, please try again. [email protected]'s password: Permission denied, please try again. [email protected]'s password: Permission denied (publickey,password). Couldn't read packet: Connection reset by peer I did notice however that if I simply pressed enter (no password) it logged me in fine... So here are my questions: Is there a way to check what privatekey/pulbickey pair my sftp connection is using? Is it possible to specify what key pair to use? If all is setup correctly (using correct key pair and added to authorized files) why am I being asked to enter a blank password? Thanks for your help in advance!   • macosx not recognizing held down keys on boot

    I'm running fully updated snow leapord on a new model imac. I am unable to boot into macosx. I do have build 7600 of windows 7 that the computer will automatically boot to. I do not have the bootcamp manager on windows 7. The computer is not recognizing any held down keys when I try to either boot from cd or force macosx boot or anything. How can I get the computer to load up osx?

  • Xfce power manager warns HAL daemon is not running, no keyboard on startup on Ubuntu

    I changed my grub boot options to add "vga=0x323" to them to resolve some issues with corrupted display during startup/shutdown on my laptop. The next time I booted the system up, I got a warning over the login screen saying Xfce Power Manager HAL Daemon not running The keyboard and mouse are unresponsive. After a minute or so, they start to work and the system functions as normal. How can I solve this?

  • XP Pro product keys

    I have a very serious problem. After my XP Home OS was trashed by rogue software - a trial of a thing named TuneUp - I did a clean install, including HDD reformat of Windows XP Pro from a purchased OEM disk. This was Service Pack 2, subsequently upgraded to SP3. I had conclusively mislaid the product key. I had to access data on the machine VERY urgently and I did not then know that under some circumstances Microsoft might agree to provide a replacement. I found what I now know must have been a pirate key on the Net which enabled installation but NOT activation. This of course left me functional but 30 days before meltdown - about 20 days left as I write this. Various retailers want around £100 for retail with matching product key. - this would be paying twice over just to continue use on the same computer. I have neither need nor intention of installing XP Pro on any other computer. I have tried a number of applications claiming to deal with this problem but none of them work. A Belarc profile shows that the pirate key has replaced the original one on the system. I have now found two keys, one of which might be the original, but neither work. I am about to upgrade the HDD and it looks like I will just be passing the problem on when I install XP. I have retrieved a key from the disk, but it is seemingly one Microsoft use in production and does not work. It is 76487-OEM-0015242-71798. The keys I have, one of which which might or might not be the original, are CD87T-HFP4G-V7X7H-8VY68-W7D7M and FC8GV-8Y7G7-XKD7P-Y47XF-P829W (or P819W - I believe it to be the latter, but the box will not accept it). The pirate key which has enabled this install and which is now stored on the system but will not activate is QQHHK-T4DKG-74KG7-BQB9G-W47KG. In these circumstances is it likely that Microsoft would issue a replacement? Is there any other solution? I am not trying to defraud anyone, just to keep on using the product I legitimately bought.   • Optionally open folder in new window in vista using keyboard key

    In XP, to ensure a folder opened in a new window, I held down CTRL when I opened (by mouse or keyboard) the folder. This action is so ingrained to me, I pretty much don't even realise I'm doing it at a conscious level. Unfortunately, this action apparently hasn't made it to Vista. Is there a new way to do this, or am I just missing something obvious?
