• JSplitPane SetDividerLocation Problem

  I have a JSplitPane which when shown should split the pane by 50%. Now on giving an argument of 0.5 (as suggested) to setDividerLocation, Java seems to treat it as a normal number instead of a percentage. As in, the divider, instead of going to the middle of the pane, is almost at the start of the left pane (the pane is vertically split). Any work arounds?

  I've got some code that runs on every (nearly) every admin request but doesn't have access to the 'request' object. I need to find the path to Django installation. I could do: import django django_path = django.__file__ but that seems rather wasteful in the middle of a request. Does putting the import at the start of the module waste memory? I'm fairly sure I'm missing an obvious trick here.

  Hi, In netbeans I should want a layout like the second in this page : http://wiki.netbeans.org/WinsysLayoutFor65 The navigator is in bottom, left side. I can't do that. If I select menu Window/Navigating/Navigator, the navigators appears in the middle panel. If I drag drop it, it goes in left, or in bottom, but never in bottom left. How is it possible to put it in bottom left ? Thanks.

  2 colors are mixed together. If i have the RGB for the resultant color and RGB for one of the colors mixed, then somehow i could calculate the 2nd color? I will try to explain visually what i am trying to say.   I have a UITextView which the keyboard enters values into. However, if you clear the text value (i.e uitextview.text = @""), the keyboard's state does not reset to the lowercase alphabet keyboard. That is, if I was in the middle of typing "hello.." and the textview gets cleared, the keyboard still shows the symbols, rather than back to the alphabetical letters. Is there a way to get around this?

I have a Java program that requires an defined environment variable containing a dot, like com.example.fancyproperty. With Windows I can set that variable, but I had no luck setting it in linux (tried in SuSE and Ubuntu). Is that variable name even allowed?
