  • Parsing an MS Project 2007 xml project file.

    Has anyone got any idea how to read the XML file saved by MS Project 2007? The standard binary format is .MPP but I'd like to view a project in a different viewer. I've saved the project spec as XML and the viewer I'm using needs the parent task Id for each task. Where can i find that in the rather huge amount of XML data created by ms project?

    hi I am having a document library in share point 2007, I want to validate certain custom properties before a document is uploaded Or Properties are entered when Edit properties event is cliked. I am trying to validate the fields at ItemAdding event whne a documetn is uploaded , however when EditForm.aspx opens up for editing properties, no events firs. Now I would like to add consistent headers and footers to every document, very similar to an ASP.NET MasterPage. In particular, I'd like to compose a template document with a content document, then fill the content using the approach described here. I can't find anything on this topic. Thanks for your help!

    I am having trouble trying to connect an Infopath 2007 form to an WCF web service. I appears that the Infopath only wants to communicate via a SOAP 1.0 message. To get around the issue for the moment I have created an .asmx web service. Should I consider continuing down this workaround or figure out a way to get WCF to dish out SOAP 1.0 1.1 messages?

    I am using word 2007 and am inserting code into the document. I have a style with a fixed-width font and light grey background and all, and I use Notepad++ for syntax highlighting. My problem is with a "line" of code that is too long to display, so is there a way to auto-insert an arrow symbol at the beginning of a such lines to indicate that it is the same line (kind of like hyphenating, except on long lines instead of long words) So for e.g. something like this: public static void foo(String abcdefg, Boolean 123, ?String xyz)

    Hi, I copied an MSAccess 2007 db from a workstation onto another workstation. I added the DB folder to Trusted Locations. I check the file properties readonly flag, but it is unchecked. But the database is opened in ReadOnly mode. What am I missing here please??? Malcolm

As the project I'm in has budget and time-constraints I don't mind buying a commercial lib :) I know they are XML files in a somewhat open format but I really don't want to waste time understanding the XML specification. I tried all kinds of things, but it doesn't seem to be possible to read more than 256 columns from a excel (2007 format) file. I'm wondering if it's a bug or I'm simply missing something. The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "I:\My Documents\Flamm Consulting\Migrations.accdb" failed with error code 0xC0209303. There may be error messages posted before this with more information on why the AcquireConnection method call failed. Frankly, I'm confused about how SSIS should connect to Access 2007 - the UI just isn't very friendly - there's no file browser, for example. I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my install - missing drivers, etc.
