  • inputAccessoryView not hide the view when -resignFirstResponder?

    I have attached a toolbar with a UITextField and UIButton to the keyboard when it becomes the first responder via the user taping inside the textfield textField.inputAccessoryView = theToolbar; Problem is, the toolbar disappears when the keyboard is dismissed, thus preventing any further input. Any ideas on how to make the toolbar go back to the bottom of the screen rather than off it completely? I'm thinking a delegate method might help but Im really not too sure. It seems once the inputAccessoryView always the inputAccessoryView :( Cheers

  • Get info from multiple files, match it and then display to end user, what is fastest?

    Hi, I need to build a website where we display data that is refreshed every 5minutes in a text file with a | separator. I currently use Java to do this. What I do now: I grab the textfile for every request through the website and process it and then display the data to the end user, this works fine, since Java can go through like 5000 lines of data fast, and when I filter it it is still extremely fast. However now the management wants the following: They added 3 textfiles with the | separator to it, and now want me to also read those files and match the information on certain fields, and if there is a match also display that information to the end user. I think soon enough, although Java is fast, I will run into trouble when 10 people want that information and I have to run through 4 total files matching the information. What can I do to make this process super fast? My Creative solutions so far: -Leave it this way, since Java is fast and end users can wait (probably less then 1second) -Have a background process that dumps new data into a MySQL database every 5minutes, since databases are extremely good at getting the same data from multiple tables.   • Twitter oauth php problems

    I'm writing some backend script for a twitter app and heres how it's going On the app you click a button that sends you to login.php on my server which logs into my database connects to twitter with my consumer key and secret: $to = new TwitterOAuth($consumer_key, $consumer_secret); $tok = $to->getRequestToken(); $request_link = $to->getAuthorizeURL($tok); and then writes the token and secret to the database, sets a session equal to the id in the database of the token and secret and then redirects to the "$request_link" You then go through the process of logging in and such on twitter and it redirects you to callback.php on my server Callback.php consists of logging into the database again, getting the new token and secret, and then writing the new token and secret to the database and then prompts you to go back to the app Then on the app, all I'm trying to do is access the basic credentials$to->get('account/verify_credentials') and it keeps coming back "could not authenticate you" What am I doing wrong??   • C# Automatic Properties - Still null after +=?

    This seems like a bug to me... I accept that automatic properties, defined as such: public decimal? Total { get; set; } Will be null when they are first accessed. They haven't been initialized, so of course they are null. But, even after setting their value through +=, this decimal? still remains null. So after: Total += 8; Total is still null. How can this be correct? I understand that it's doing a (null + 8), but seems strange that it doesn't pick up that it means it should just be set to 8... Addendums: I made the "null + 8" point in my question - but notice that it works with strings. So, it does null + "hello" just fine, and returns "hello". Therefore, behind the scenes, it is initializing the string to a string object with the value of "hello". The behavior should be the same for the other types, IMO. It might be because a string can accept a null as a value, but still, a null string is not an initialized object, correct? Perhaps it's just because a string isn't a nullable...

    hi, I've a parent (Canvas) with many children (LinkButtons) The linkButtons trigger an event to communicate between them: dispatchEvent(new SameBookmarkEvent("SameBookmarkEvent", bookmark.name)); and all linkButtons have a listener this.addEventListener("SameBookmarkEvent", highlightMe); ... private function highlightMe(e:SameBookmarkEvent):void { //do something } Now, the issue is that the event is only listened by the dispatcher child. In other words, only the child triggering the event, is receiving it. I was wondering what's wrong with it, and if I should add a listener to the parent (Canvas)... I basically need the children (LinkButton) communicate between them

I've just realized it loads again all javascripts and css files of my page, and it is quite annoying, since it is not even an iFrame.. it is modal version.. and I would like to re-use what I've already loaded in my page for it.   • HTML, CSS: how can I merge these divs in order to use float:left property on their children ?

    hi, I've 2 sets of thumbnails and in each set I'm displaying them one nearby each other in 4 columns using float:left. I would like to "merge" the 2 sets (but I cannot change the html code) because I want the thumbnails of the second set floating right after the last thumbnail of the first set. In other terms, if in the last row there are only 2 thumbnails and the last 2 columns are empty, the thumbnails of the second set should fill the empty columns of the last row of the first set.   • write file in network shared folder with UnauthorizedAccessException?

    hi the win mobile 6 code tries to write files on network shared folder, but always gets UnauthorizedAccessException. I have checked permission and security setting on the folder and the code can read the file but just cant write to it. The code runs under administrator account which has full control over the folder and files. It is in vs 2008 professional with device emulator.Any help please? thanks very much.

    hi, when I add the tag script to load an external javascript file, my page is not longer displayed. There are not error in Firebug, there are not errors such as "File not found" or "Not enough permissions", the browser just displays a blank page for some reason. <?php print $head; ?> <?php print $styles; ?> <?php print $scripts; ?> <script type="text/JavaScript" src="main.js" /> If I remove the last line everything works perfectly.   • Drupal, installation to new web server... problems with Views exposed filter

    hi, I've moved my drupal installation to a new website (without clean urls support). I'm using a View to display the content of my website with exposed filter (tags multi-selection) When I click on one of the tags something strange happen on the new website.. Even if I select only 1 tag, I get urls like this: http://.../drupal/?tid[]=67&tid[]=66&view_name=Portfolio&view_display_id=page_1&view_args=&view_path=portfolio&view_base_path=portfolio&view_dom_id=1&pager_element=0 instead of the normal url: http://www.sanstitre.ch/drupal/portfolio?tid[0]=67 could you give me some tip ? thanks

I have a feeling that Gedit is automatically adding an ending line break. But why, I have no idea...

  • IPhone iOs 5, need help getting my tab bar at the top to work

    I wanted to have the tab bar at the top. So i created a new project in XCode. Added a view and then inside that view i added (scrollbar, text and another view). See picture. What i wanted was to have my tab bar at the top. Then in the middle would be the contents from the tab bar and below it a small copyright text. See picture. No idea how to make this correctly. I have tried to create the UITabBarController on the fly and then assign it into the view at the top. (Top white space on the picture dedicated for the tab bar).   • Crash when checking BOF property of pessimistic locked ADO recordset

    Bit of an odd one for you: I've got two connections to a database, on one I've opened a _RecordsetPtr with a pessimistic lock. I can no longer send an UPDATE command on the other connection. I can send a SELECT command on the second connection and data is returned. If I use a read only lock then there are no problems however when I use a pessimistic lock on the second connection as well I can check the State == adStateOpen but the program hangs when I test the BOF property! If I don't test the BOF property and try to call moveNext on the second connection the software hangs If I do neither of these I am able to access the data via the second connection but trying to access the data from the first connection causes the software to hang. Any one seen anything similar as I'm a bit stuck? EDIT : it wasn't hanging, someone had put a 30 minute timeout on the connection and I wasn't waiting that long while testing...
