• Core Data No Longer Updating Sqlite Schema

  I am using core data for my app and I never had any problems adding or removing columns until recently. But now even if I make changes to my xcdatamodel and generate new and updated entity h/m files, sqlite doesn't seem to be picking up the changes. I actually went over to the documents folder and inspected the create statement for the relevant tables in sqlite3 and I was able to confirm that the columns I added were missing. I removed and redeployed the app several times to no avail. Is it possible to do something to the app to make it disregard any schema changes being made through xcdatamodel? I guess another thing I should mention is I recently started putting my entire projects folder in CVS so I wonder if something got messed up in the checkin and check out process.

• SVN - How to export changed files in dependency project when create updates?

  I have a project with it depends on another project Core, i use svn:external to maintain the dependency. when i go to create an update of my project, i export those changed files of two tags of my project, but the changed files in Core won't be exported. For example, my project 2.0 depends on Core 1.0, where 3.0 depends on Core 2.0, then i create an update, changed files of my project 3.0 will all be exported, but none of those in Core 2.0 This can be done thru a two-steps process, first export changed files of the project 3.0, then the Core 2.0, it is ok if i can remember it everytime when i create an update, but in case i forget someday, the broken update will most probably cause a crash. I wonder, is there a way to cover this situation in TortoiseSVN, will let me do it in one operation? I use TortoiseSVN + VisualSVN

• Retrieve web user's Identity outside of request scope

  I have an ASP.NET app that logs Audit reports using nHibernate's IPreUpdateListener. In order to set the current user in the Listener events, I was using System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent(). This works fine when debugging on my machine, but when I move it to the staging server, I'm getting the ASP.NET process credentials, not the requesting user. In the ASP.NET page, I can use Request.LogonUserIdentity (which works fine since I'm using integrated authentication), but how do I reference this user directly without having to pass it directly to my event? I don't want to have to pass this info through the pipeline because it really doesn't belong in the intermediate events/calls.

• router gets disconnected once I terminate my SIP application

  Hey, Here is an interesting one, I have a SIP VoIP application which is able to register to the PBX server, and I can invite and see the user call on the callee end receiving an Invite, and on the caller end I see the Ringing response... now here is interesting part, if I close my application with out any notification to the server my router disconnects and restart, after a short while (30 - 150 sec). I could fix that if I would complete the ACK BYE process, but I'm just wondering why does my router hangs up? any ideas?

• Memory leak in chrome.extension.sendRequest()

  Chrome Version : 9.0.597.19 (Build 68937) beta & current stable I have simplified my code as far as possible. I ended up with the attached extension: content.js (content script run on every site): setInterval(function() { chrome.extension.sendRequest({ }, function(response) { //Do nothing }); }, 1); background.js (background page script): chrome.extension.onRequest.addListener(function(request, sender, sendResponse) { sendResponse({ }); }); When you install this extension, you can observe it eating up memory extremely fast (I got 90MB in 1 min with 9 tabs opened). You can speed up the process by opening more tabs. Of course, the extension I am actually developing does not send requests every millisecond, but only every 3 seconds. This just slows it down, though. A user who has run it in the background for a long time with many tabs opened has reported 100MB of memory usage, and I can reproduce it to a less extreme extent, too.

  Hi, I would like to allow my users to authorise my app with their fb on registration. All of the examples i see redirect users to the fb canvas page after authorisation, but i only want this to be a step in the registration process. Essentially, i want an icon they can click that would open up a new window where they can login to fb and a simple postback to the registration page where i would detect the login and hide the login button. • Visual C++ 9 Linker file size limitation.

  It appears that the visual C++ 9 linker has a file allocation algorithm that doubles the size of the file every allocation, so you get 512mb, 1024mb, 2048mb, 4096mb. The problem is that it is using a library that cannot handle files larger 2048MB, and as such crashes with an error such as "cannot read file at is the disk full or write protected". Is there a way to bypass this limitation or otherwise replace the linker with something else that works? A bit of background, I have a code generator that generates a large number of files, ~15k cpp files, I've managed to reduce the number of files to something about 6k to get something that at least completes the linking process, I would like to be able to include all 15k without having to create multiple libs.

When I double click the stop.bat file with the above it works successfully. When I try to run that from my PHP script, it stops the server but doesn't start it fully which I am guessing is because Apache is waiting for that PHP process to exit? function php_kill(){ exec('stop.bat', $output = array(), $return); return $return; } 2) Is there a way to restart my webserver (apache) whilst keeping session variables that PHP needs available? • Redirect to prevent dup submission...but then you loose existing data

  Here's the scenario User is on your checkout.aspx page Somewhere in the process, when clicking the pay button, you redirect the user to an intermediate page (before the confirmation page) to do some other logic. That intermediate page performs whatever logic based on a querystring flag you sent with the redirect from the checkout page This intermediate page also serves as an error page. So if any logic in the intermediatePage.aspx.cs fails I'm setting a message to be displayed on this page to the user If I refresh, that querystring value is still in the url..hence when it hits my Page_Load again, then the server-side logic is called & run again and I don't want this to happen The avoid this behavior/problem, the logical next step is to do a redirect back to the same page if they refresh (not sure how you'd catch that) to get rid of that querystring But when you redirect back to the same page your error message is gone, lost in the redirect therefore you end up showing them the same page but all values for the error message are now gone I do not want to solve this with Javascript either. I am not sure the best way to handle this.

  I'm writing some backend script for a twitter app and heres how it's going On the app you click a button that sends you to login.php on my server which logs into my database connects to twitter with my consumer key and secret: $to = new TwitterOAuth($consumer_key, $consumer_secret); $tok = $to->getRequestToken(); $request_link = $to->getAuthorizeURL($tok); and then writes the token and secret to the database, sets a session equal to the id in the database of the token and secret and then redirects to the "$request_link" You then go through the process of logging in and such on twitter and it redirects you to callback.php on my server Callback.php consists of logging into the database again, getting the new token and secret, and then writing the new token and secret to the database and then prompts you to go back to the app Then on the app, all I'm trying to do is access the basic credentials$to->get('account/verify_credentials') and it keeps coming back "could not authenticate you" What am I doing wrong?? • Would Python's Twisted library be the best case for an observer type pattern?

  hi all, I'm developing a system where a queue will be filled with millions of items I need a process that reads items from the queue constantly and then sends those items out to registered clients. I'm thinking about using twisted for this, having the queue reader be a twisted server listening on a tcp port then clients can connect on that port and when an item is pulled from the queue the server writes it out to all the clients. Does that sound like something that twisted would be ideal for? Does anyone know of any sample code out there that may do something similar? thanks

  I'm going through the problem of setting up a new computer and I'm having a problem with VS 2005. Whenever I start debugging all the windows (properties, watch, errorlist, stack, ...) pop up all over the place undocked. At this point I've tried docking them and closing them. When I stop debugging more windows pop up all undocked. This keeps happening over and over and over... I've tried closing and docking them but they keep popping out. • Check something before django server starts

  I am running my api behind a django server and say I have a one time token that is needed by the django application and used through out its existence until the process quits. To check if I can proceed and serve requests (using the django server) I need to validate this token against a database entry. Now, I can have a script that hits the db, then issues the run server command if the token is valid. But if the db used by the django applications change, I will have to change the script also to point to the same db. Is there a way I can pass this token into the runserver command as an additional parameter (along with hostname:port) and validate this before django serves any requests? How can I access this parameter that is sent into ./manage.py runserver. Thanks.

• Anyone using a web service as a data source in Excel 2007?

  Can I use a web service as a data soruce for Excel pivot tables? Currently, the soure data for the pivot table is being exported from the DB to a CSV file. Then the CSV file is loaded into a worksheet in the workbook. From there, a pivot table is created in the same workbook. We are looking to streamline this process. The SQL db and pivot tables are the constants. The pivot tables are generated dynamically from a public-facing website. This is not an internal app so the preference is to not connect directly to the DB.
