  The Literal control works all the time <asp:Literal ID="Literal7" runat="server" Text="<%$ Resources:ErrorMessages, errorCompanyNotFound %>" /> But if I want to use this as a parameter in an image, like <img src="blahblah" alt="" title"<%$ Resources:ErrorMessages, errorCompanyNotFound %>" /> It gives the annoying error Literal expressions like '' are not allowed. Use instead. Same happens if I try to access it through Javascript var noHit = '<%$ Resources:ErrorMessages, errorCompanyNotFound %>'; Does anyone had any idea how can I fetch the Global Resource value under this circumstances?

  I've been following along with the examples in the book in making a online catalog and am having a couple of discouraging difficulties in Chapter 8 task C: Catalog display. I have input the code for the stylesheets as instructed but it has created a slightly skewed result as compared to what is shown in the book. Whilst minor and aesthetic in nature its a little shock to my confidence and slightly irritating when trying to carry on through the book.   When configuring a Settings.bundle as part of an iPhone application bundle, it's trivial to add minimum and maximum value images to sliders (PSSliderSpecifier), but not simple maximum and minimum text labels. http://developer.apple.com/iPhone/library/documentation/PreferenceSettings/Conceptual/SettingsApplicationSchemaReference/Articles/PSSliderSpecifier.html iPhone gurus: Is anyone aware of a simple means to apply text labels to these sliders for use within the Settings application (therefore, no slider subclassing shenanigans; it all has to be done via a plist)? I suppose I could just use an image of the label but...ew. Bonus points if there's a way to show the current value of a slider in some sort of number format.

  I am trying to apply a texture for my brush but i'm really having a hard time figuring how it is done. Here's the image of my output. I used an UIImage that just follows the touch on the screen but when i swipe it faster the result is on the right side "W", and on the left side that's the result when i swipe it slow. i tried using the CGContextMoveToPoint and CGContextAddLineToPoint i don't know how apply the texture. Is it possible to use UIImage for the stroke texture?   Hi everyone. Usual stuff, Googled forever, looked on here, no help. Yet. What I want is to list the sets of photos I have on Flickr. Nice & simple, it would seem. I want the 'title image' (the one used as the thumb for it on Flickr its self), the title and URL. Can't be that hard, can it? The language of choice is PHP (5.1.6), or JS (jQuery if possible). • Ruby on Rails ActiveScaffold: Showing {{model}} instead of model name?

  Hi there, I'm using ActiveScaffold with Ruby on Rails and I'm loving it, however there is one weird thing. Whenever I hit "Edit" or "Create New" in my webapp's ActiveScaffold, it says "Create {{model}}" or "Update {{model}}" in the webapp rather than using the model's name. Why is this? I have an ads_controller.rb that includes this: active_scaffold :ad do |config| config.label = "Ads" config.columns = [:name, :description, :imageUrl, :linkUrl, :apps, :created_at, :updated_at] config.update.columns = [:name, :description, :imageUrl, :linkUrl, :apps] config.create.columns = config.update.columns list.sorting = {:created_at => 'DESC'} columns[:imageUrl].label = "Image URL" columns[:linkUrl].label = "Link URL" end And my routes.rb includes this: map.namespace :admin do |admin| admin.root :controller => 'admin_home', :action => 'index' admin.resources :ads, :active_scaffold => true end Any thoughts on why I'm seeing "Create {{model}}" instead of "Create ad" ?

• ImageView Force closes my application

• Why the toolbar button icon is grey at runtime?

  I"m setting the icon of a toolbar button (using Infragistics component library for the toolbar), The problem is that on design time the icon is showing normally. But at runtime the icon become greyed, though the drawing of the icon is still apparent, but its colors are all lost and the shape of the icon image is grey. So i'm wondering if it's colour related bug, or I need to tweek something in VS, or it is a bug in the library i'm using i.e. Infragistics. So anyone faced that problem before and fixed it?

I knew it has something to do with this #sidebar h2 { border-bottom: 1px solid #d6d6d6; } since i tried that code and a border appeared. But what i wanted is a picture, i could do that with in the posts with: .TitleBorder { background: url(images/border.png) repeat-x; height: 3px; width: 615px; } and <div class="TitleBorder"></div> but in sidebar, i can't do that.   Hello, This image gives a good picture about Virtual Adress space. But it only says half of the story. It only gives complete picture of User Adress space ie.. lower 50% (or 75% in some cases). What about the rest 50% (or 25%) which is occupied by the kernel. I know kernel also has so many different things like kernel modules , device drivers, core kernel itself. There must be some kind of layout right? What is its layout? If you say its Operating System dependent. I would say, there are two major operating systems Windows & Linux. Please give answer for any one these.

  I have a div which wraps a number of images that are generated dynamically. I don't know how high the list of images is. My problem is the div that contains the dynamically generated images doesn't behave like it is housing any content - I want it to extend to the height of the list of images. Each image is itself wrapped in a div. This is the wrapper div: .block { padding:10px; margin-top:10px; height:auto; background-color:#f9f9f9; } This is the markup dynamically generated for (one of) the images: <div class="block"> <div style="float: left; padding: 2px 2px 2px 2px;"><IMG SRC="45.jpg" BORDER="0"/></div> ..... • Lightweight open source CMS - current situation

  Hello, It happened that I need to pick up PHP based open source CMS. I did a small research and found many candidates. CMS made simple seems to be right choice, but I am not sure what's the current state, I know it was widely used time ago. I need it to be fully compliant with web standarts, lightweight (especially interface). It needs to be as simple as possible - basically just style and page content editing (news, maybe some image gallery) is enough. Sure content and style have to be separated from each other since content will be edited by non-programmer. One of the main goals is SEO so I'd like it to have friendly URLs. I think CMSes like Joomla, Drupal and Wordpress are too big for this project. Are there any recommendations ?

  I'm creating some pagination for my website, and want to use an input-element to navigate between pages. Like the following example: The input would require the "return" key to be hit for the script to trigger. If the value entered is not within range and alert would trigger. e.g. If there was 32 pages, "Please enter a value between 1 and 32" Can this be done using jQuery or javascript, by detecting the value change within the range of pages and redirecting to that page?   Hello, I am using a separate PHP file as a configuration file for everything else on a basic ecommerce site. $product1["short"] = "product one"; $product1["menuimgslideshowsrc"] = "image/product1.jpg"; When I hover over a button, I want to get $product1["menuimgslideshowsrc"] and swap it out with an IMG SRC. I can do the swapping no problem, I need to know how to get the information stored in $product1["menuimgslideshowsrc"]. I assume I would use Ajax, but I am open to other ideas. Thanks in advance.

  Before you say "oh no, not again" here I'm stating my case. I'm parsing part of HTML output and the only thing I'm interested in is name and value attributes of each <input/ tag. HTML is actually HTML fragment, may not be well-formed. I don't have DOM or HTML parser and I don't try to parse nested elements anyway. The problem is that I don't know the order or number of attributes so it could be <input name="foo" value="boo"/> or <input type="hidden" name=foo> or <input id=blah value='boo' src="image.png" name="foo" type="img"/>. Is there a single regular expression that would get me values of name and value attribute in predictable order? I wouldn't have asked the question if I could assume that name attribute always precedes value but unfortunately this is not the case

  Hi, I am using facebook's sharer.php to post to facebook from my application. My application is hosted at //[my_domain]/[some_param]/index I am setting the title, description and the image url to be displayed on facebook in the meta tags of the page found at the above mentioned url. when i share the link facebook generates the following message to share: [some_img] [some_title] http://[my_domain]/[some_param]/index [some_message] What i need to do is either hide or change this url "http://[my_domain]/[some_param]/index" that is shown by default, since i do not want the users to see this. Instead i am passing the desired url that i want the users to see in So is there some way of doing this?

• Not enough storage is available to complete this operation - Program or Storage memory?

  I've been given a Windows Mobile app written in .Net CF 3.5 to fix, and one of the problems is to do with storage. The message 'Not enough storage is available to complete this operation' has appeared a few times - it's logged in the SQL CE database, and always happens during data access (but not the same bit of data access). The thing I'm slightly confused about is whether this refers to Program Memory (e.g. RAM) or Storage Memory (e..g permanent storage). It would appear to be storage memory, but the devices seem to have plenty free. While there are some OutOfMemoryExceptions, these appear totally unrelated to this problem (in that that happen at a different time due to an image-related issue). We're using SQL CE 3.5 with a single connection, which is stored along with the app on the device (as opposed to the storage card). The device is a Motorola MC75 running Windows Mobile 6.1. Any thoughts?

• Graphing special functions in Matlab (2D Bessel)

  I'm trying to essentially get something like this where I can see clear ripples at the base but otherwise it's like a Gaussian: This is kind of unsatisfactory because the ripples aren't very noticeable, it has a very gritty quality that obscures the image a bit, and if you move the graph so that it's just in 2D (so it looks like a circle) I'm not even sure if it's quite like how it should be (the concentric circles seem to be more evenly spaced in the real thing).
