  I've got c# code running on a computer with multiple network interfaces, and the following code to select an IP address for a HttpWebRequest to bind ServicePoint: HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(remoteFilename); request.KeepAlive = false; request.ServicePoint.BindIPEndPointDelegate = delegate( ServicePoint servicePoint, IPEndPoint remoteEndPoint, int retryCount) { return new IPEndPoint(IPAddress.Parse(ipAddr), 0); }; But it works only for one of the available network interfaces. Trying to access remote server through others throws an exception: System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server --- System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable network How can it be solved?

  Hi Experts, I have problems with bindings. I want to use a UserControl (Intellibox from codeplex) but I only get error messages in the output window. Basically I have window grid ... stuff ... usercontrol (self written) ... stuff ... usercontrol (IntelliBox) In the Output window I get following stuff: System.Windows.Data Error: 4 : Cannot find source for binding with reference 'RelativeSource FindAncestor, AncestorType='System.Windows.Controls.UserControl', AncestorLevel='1''. BindingExpression:Path=ShowResults; DataItem=null; target element is 'Popup' (Name='IntelliboxPopup1'); target property is 'IsOpen' (type 'Boolean') The binding in the IntelliBox control is defined as follows: {Binding Path=ShowResults, RelativeSource={RelativeSource FindAncestor, AncestorType={x:Type UserControl}}} I guess there is a problem, cause the nesting withing usercontrols - how to I get this error fixed?   I am trying to run a headless test for a web application using WebDriver on Mac OS X 10.6.3. My plan is to run firefox-x11 with Xvfb, but WebDriver is unable to launch firefox-x11. • Redirect issues on rackspace

  Hi, i'm trying to setup 301 redirects on a rackspace account- this is what I want to happen: www.test1.com/sub/index.asp - www.test2.com/index.asp test1.com is a new PHP version of an old ASP site (a subsection of which is now at test2.com), so any previous asp page links to the test1.com/sub/ need to go to the same page name at test2.co.nz. I've got folder redirects working fine using .htaccess, ie in test1.com/sub/ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.test2.com/$1 [R=301,L] but anything with .asp doesn't redirect, but is trying to be handled by the server. I've also tried a web.config in test1.com/sub/ ie: <configuration<system.web <urlMappings enabled="true" <add url="index.asp" mappedUrl="http://test2.com.com/index.asp"/ <urlMappings </system.web </configuration this gives a 500 internal server error Any ideas?

The data is populating from the cursor correctly (I see the list filling with text rows), but I'm not able to see the actual text in the rows - all I see are empty rows.   I am making a WCF service. System Config: Widnows 7, ASP.NET 3.5, IIS 7.0 Server Config: IIS7, ASP.NET 3.5 It works fine on my system, but when i deploy this on the server i get following error The resource cannot be found. when i try accessing my .svc file. Please help me out in this. My server is with GoDaddy, so i have no control on the server. I have to do everything in my code only. Please help.

• QuickReport throws "There Is No Default Printer Currently Selected" Exception

  I have created a Delphi Service which prints TQuickReports. Everything works fine if compiled and run as a Windows Application. But when converted to operate as a service trying to create a form containing a TQuickRep component throws the exception. This service runs fine on many other boxes but not this one in particular. Here are some details: Using QuickReport version 4.07 Box is a Windows Server 2008 operating system. Using Delphi 2007 Printer.Printers.Count is returning a positive value. In fact I can list out all of the printers. I have tried running the service both using Local System Account and Logged on as an Admin.

I thought the file data might be in the variable response, but it isn't. Any ideas how this might work?   Hi all, I have created a WCF service and client and all works until it come to catching errors. Specifically I am try to catch the EndpointNotFoundException for when the server happens not to be there for whatever reason, I have tried performing a simple try catch block catching the specific error and the communication exception it derives from and I've tried catching just Exception. None of these succeed in catching the exception, however I do get A first chance exception of type 'System.ServiceModel.EndpointNotFoundException' occurred in System.ServiceModel.dll in the output window when the client tries to open the service. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

• Having the output of a Console App in Visual Studio instead of the Console

  When doing "Console" apps in Java with Eclipse, I see the output being put in a text box on the IDE itself, instead of having a Console popping up like in Visual Studio. This comes in handy, as even after the program has exited, I can still make good use of the text that was written in it, as it doesn't get erased until I run it again. Is it possible to achieve anything like that with Visual Studio? I know that instead of doing System.Console.WriteLine(str); I can do System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine(str); but it is not quite the same thing, as you get a lot of "junk" in the Output window, as all the loaded symbols and such. Even better, is it possible to have everything done in the IDE itself, when you run your app, instead of having the Console running? Thanks

  I'm trying to parse Rss2, Atom feeds using SyndicationFeedFormatter and SyndicationFeed objects. But I'm getting XmlExceptions while parsing DateTime field like pubDate and/or lastBuildDate. As a workaround, for familiar feeds I would manually fix those DateTime nodes - by catching the XmlException, loading the Rss into an XmlDocument, fixing those nodes' value, creating a new XmlReader and then returning the formatter from this new XmlReader object (code not shown). But for this approach to work, I need to know beforehand which nodes cause exception.   Sharepoint is setup to use NTLM authentication. When I reference http://myserver/Sites/Ops/_vti_bin/Lists.asmx?WSDL as a Web Reference, I can call the methods and get valid responses. When I reference the same url as a Service Reference, the server throws an exception when calling methods. My account is admin on the Sharepoint Farm. • Apache is reponding a blank white page

  I have the following situation: A site hosted in apache 2.4, with ssl, that works like a charm for a while now, but out of no where, without modifications to the site, apache started serving random blank pages. The workaround this is to delete the cookies of the browser or restart the browser. I've switched the vitualhost to log in debug mode but it didn't got me anywhere. • Catches communication exception instead of custom fault exception - WCF

  On Server I'm throwing the exception like this. catch(SqlException exception) { if (exception.Message.Contains("Custom error from stored proc")) { //Exception to be thrown when authentication fails. throw new FaultException<MyServiceFault>(new MyServiceFault { MessageText = exception.Message }); } } And on client end I'm catching the exception catch(FaultException<MyServiceFault> faultException) { } Here is my MyServiceFault [DataContract] public class MyServiceFault { [DataMember] public string MessageText { get; set; } [DataMember] public Guid Id { get; set; } } The problem is that on client, it doesn't go to MyServiceFault catch block instead it goes to communication exception catch block and throws this error System.ServiceModel.CommunicationException: The underlying connection was closed: The connection was closed unexpectedly. ---> System.Net.WebException I've also decorated my service method [FaultContract(typeof(MyServiceFault))] in the interface which is implemented by my service. In my web.config servicebehaviour tag consist <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="true" /> Any idea where I'm going wrong

• iText PdfPTables, document.add with writeSelectedRows

  I am currently modifying an existing system that generates reports with iText and java. The report template is as follows: Header1(PdfPTable) Header2(PdfPTable) Body(PdfPTable) I am currently using the writeSelectedRows to display Header1 and Header2, but document.add is used to display the Body. The problem is that the system is setup to write the headers AFTER the body has already been displayed on the screen, so I am displaying my headers on top of my body content. My question is how do I add my body table (using document.add) and have it display about halfway down the page (or any predetermined vertical position)? This way I would have sufficient room to display my headers above the body table. Note: I believe the body table is using document.add to facilitate automatic paging if the body content is too large.

• VMware Converter errors when creating Boot Camp VM

  I just got a new computer. My old computer had a Boot Camp installation of Windows 7, with VMWare running the Boot Camp installation in a virtual machine. On my new computer, I want Windows to strictly be a VM, so I downloaded the VMWare Converter software to create a virtual machine out of the Boot Camp partition. After finishing 95% of the converting process, I get a few messages Warning: Failed while updating boot.ini on the target machine's system volume. Warning: Failed while updating drive letters for the target volume layout. Error: Reconfiguration failed. And then it fails with FAILED: Unable to find the system volume, reconfiguration is not possible. I'm not sure what the problem is or how to fix it...I don't know much about virtualization or dual booting other than the simple instructions on how to set it up the first time.
