  Hi all, I cannot get the conditional plugin to work that has been added to CCNet as of version 1.6 - clicky.   I rather enjoy adding practical eye-candy to the networking community I've been developing but as things start to stack up I worry about load times. Is it truly faster to have users load (a hopefully cached) copy of jquery from Google's repositories? Does using jQuery for AJAX calls improve/reduce efficiency over basic javascript xmlHTTP requests? Is there a practical way to cut down the number of included scripts? For example, I include jQuery and jQuery UI from google, table sorter, and a growl plug-in.

In such a setup importing becomes a problem since the order in which tables are imported is important (you have to import referenced tables before referencing ones). • Mysql Left Join Null Result

  I have this query SELECT articles.*, users.username AS `user` FROM `articles` LEFT JOIN `users` ON articles.user_id = users.id ORDER BY articles.timestamp Basically it returns the list of articles and the username that the article is associated to. Now if there is no entry in the users table for a particular user id, the users var is NULL. Is there anyway to make it that if its null it returns something like "User Not Found"? or would i have to do this using php?

But when there are no items in the table the textfield shows the gray text "no selection". How can I suppress this text and have just an empty textfield?   I am trying to use FileLock lock(long position, long size,boolean shared) in FileChannel object As per the javadoc it can throw OverlappingFileLockException. When I create a test program with 2 threads lock method seems to be waiting to acquire the lock (both exclusive and non exclusive) But when the number threads increases in the acutal scenario over lapping file lock exception is thrown and processing slows down due the block at File lock table. What is the best way to acquire lock avoiding the OverlappingFileLockException ?
