• What is the command line syntax to embed MPlayer in an app window in OS X?

  I know the window ID, and I'm trying stuff like: mplayer -ontop -slave -quiet -wid 471165040 /t.mov mplayer -ontop -slave -quiet --window=471165040 /t.mov but nothing is working. (I know the window ID is correct) Otherwise, mplayer CLI is working great in its own window, just can't get it to play embedded. Can anyone point me to a syntax example of embedding mplayer in an app in OS X? thanks!

I created this because I have to switch to iTunes to change the volume of the music because I am using the digital-out audio and the keyboard keys do not work in digital-out mode.   There is apparently a bug introduced in the latest Java update for Mac OS X, which causes deletes in JFormattedTextFields to be performed twice. See http://lists.apple.com/archives/java-dev/2010/May/msg00092.html The DefaultEditorKit.deletePrevCharAction is invoked twice when the delete key is pressed. Are there any suggestions for a workaround? I'm thinking of replacing the delete action for my text fields with a patched version that somehow filters out these duplicate invocations.

Some of my own code fails its tests, because it's not fully written yet, but that shouldn't cause django to fail it's core tests...   correct me if im wrong, but isn't distributed SCMs for OS projects while centralized SCMs are better for corporate/private projects? cause with eg. mercurial anyone gets an exact copy of the repository with FULL history features, while with centralized you only get the latest working copy. im more focused on private projects so i wonder if its better with centralized SCMs or doesnt it matter?
