• Where do Java Applets live?

  I'm trying to figure out where java Applets that I run from the browser live. I'm using Firefox 3.0 on Windows XP with Java 1.6 if that makes any difference. From the Java Control Panel on the toolbar, I can access "Temporary Internet Files - Settings" to find the Java cache. From there I can show the resources and see a file called "dws2010066.dat". Does this resource correspond to a file on disk? I did a search in the Java cache/my whole computer and came up empty handed.

• Exception thrown while working with JTabbedPane

  I'm using a JTabbedPane in my application and I listen to its changes with ChangeListener so that I can know which tab is currently selected. So my stateChanged method is; public void stateChanged(ChangeEvent e) { currentPageIndex = jTabbedPane.getSelectedIndex(); } But while I'm adding new tabs to the JTabbedPane it throws an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException in the method above, I don't know why. Some suggested for a similar case that this is a bug http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4873983, but as you'll see some says the solution is to work with Swing from EventDispatchThread. What does it mean, do they mean the SwingUtilities.invokeLater thing? Can someone show me how I can modify my stateChanged method accordingly to avoid the exception?

• AVDs that exist do not get listed in the "Target Tab"

  I am using emulator Android 2.1 with Eclipse. For few days I had the emulator working ... was able to debug... I had 2 AVDs created and was using one of them. Earlier today I had to move my classes to a different package. Ever since I did that the configuration that I had has disappeared . So now I had to create configuration - I select Android Application and then click New - gave it a name TestPrjCfg - when I go to the "Target" tab - I see "No AVD available" but when I click manager I see two AVDs listed. I tired refresh in the "Target" tab - the existing AVDs do not show up. I used the Manager and created a third AVD that did not help either. Please let me know what am I missing here? What should I do so that the existing AVDs showup in the "Target" tab- Thank you for the time and effort abhi

• JTable.setRowHeight prevents me from adding more rows

  I'm working on a pretty simple Java app in order to learn more about JTables, TableModels, and custom cell renderers. The table is a simple table with 8 columns only with text in them. When you click on an "add" button, a dialog pops up and lets you enter the data for the columns. Now to my problem. One of the columns (the last one) should allow for multiple lines of text. I'm already putting HTML into the field, but it is not wrapping. I did some research and looked into JTable#setRowHeight(). However, once I use setRowHeight, I can no longer add rows to the table. The data is put into the table model, but it does not show in the table. If I remove the setRowHeight line, then it adds data just fine. Is there another step to adding data to my data model that I'm missing? Thanks a lot!

• Silverlight Project Not Updating When Ran

  I'm currently developing with VS2010 RC and Silverlight 4 and ran into small problem. My project when ran, would show a version I had built about 4 hours ago. (I built the project using the Business Template) The project itself will not update, meaning all the forms, and controls. I did the following: Restarted my computer Restarted Visual Studio Deleted the xap file in the ClientBin folder on the web side Deleted the Generated_Code folder on the client side Deleted the xap file from the Debug folder on the client side Opened the Solution's Configuration Manager and ensuring both my web and client projects are checked. Rebuilt, built, and cleaned every combination of the different projects and solution Is there a known bug or something else I can try?

  Hi guys, I'm working on a new test app (just out of curiosity really) which is an add on to iTunes. I'm trying fairly basic things at the mo, and have managed to control volume, pause etc etc. I have a function from some demo code which loops through all the tracks in my main library and gets their album name... I then show the individual album name in my listbox. This is FAR from the best way to do it! Is there a way to query the library to get just the album names? I ultimately want to get to a point where I can have a list of albums (with images) - I click on the album name and that loads the associated tracks.... thanks for any help! (I'm using VB.net btw)

  I've simple iphone application. it has 3 views. first view is portrait view that has 3 buttons. second view has a table view which is also a portrait. In first view, on click of a button second view is shown. on click of a cell in second view, thrid view is shown. but third view is a landscape. I'm using "pushViewController" to navigate from each view. When creating views in IB, first two views are portait and 3rd view is a landscape.   I'm trying to set the size of a dijit.Dialog, but it seems limited to 600x400, no matter what size I set it. I've copied the code from dojocampus and the dialog appear, but when i set the size larger, it only shows 600x400. Using firebug and selecting items inside the dialog, I see that they are larger than the dialog, but don't show correctly. I set it up to scroll, but the bottom of the scrollbar is out of view. In firebug, I've check the maxSize from _Widget and it is set to infinity. • Confusing rails div id naming

  I have started using jQuery and rails. I have made a simple form that submits to the database and updates the page without reloading with ajax. In my jQuery functions I used $"#new_comment" for the id name (in my application.js and create.js.erb files) but on my articles/show view file, I named the div "add_comment" and it works.. I renamed it new_comment and it breaks! Can someone explain it please? I get an error: "no action responded to 1" My function in my controller is "create".

• FLVPlayback, go fullscreen smooth?

  Hello, Im looking into using and customizing FLVPlayback in a project. How to go about this is clear, but I noticed 1 anoying thing. When going fullscreen, first Flash player goes fullscreen and then briefly shows the FLVPlayback component in its original size, before jumping to show the video itself fullscreen. I noticed on Youtube this doesnt happen. How can I escape this 'flicker' and have the video go fullscreen as the videos do on youtube? Thanks a lot for any tips! Marcel

Im working on a asp.net 3.5 web application (C#), where i have a file with some information that is updated frequently, and only few accounts can access to it (the application is using the asp.net authentication system, stored in a SQL database). My task is to parse that file, so i made a small parser (another web app) a to show the information in a more friendly way. However, everytime i want to parse it, i need to enter in the application with one of those accounts, download the file, put in the parser's folder. Is there any way to, given the username and password, download the file directly from the parser application and use that one? Thanks in advance

• Firefox adds <br> when paste from Word in TinyMCE

  I'm currently using TinyMCE 3.3 on a drupal site, with an annoying problem. Using both "paste from word"-button or "Force cleanup on paste" in Firefox cause TinyMCE to insert line-breaks in my paragraphs where the line would have ended in Word. In IE, I do not have this problem. When viewing the source code in the editor, it doesn't show a -tag, but an actual line-break. When viewing the normal text in the editor, I see no linebreak at all, but on saving, it's really there when viewing the page. Even in the beginning of every first line of every paragraph it insert a linebreak. How do I solve this?? "Remove linebreaks" isn't an option, since people want to insert linebreaks to create some vertical spacing.

• How do you use selected vertical blocks in Visual Studio 2008 and 2010?

  I get that you can select a vertical block in Visual Studio 2008 (alt-drag), but I don't understand how you use it once it's selected. How do you: Move the selection point inside the block and have the text you're typing get inserted on every line simultaneously? Move the block one space to the right/left Or can you just copy/delete the selection? I assumed when I saw the ability to select that it was something like TextMate's vertical blocks, but maybe it's just not as advanced as that.   Hello All, I would like to filter one column in a table for couple values and show results only if all those values are there. If one or more is missing, then return zero results. example table +----+--------+----------+ | id | Fruit | Color | +----+--------+----------+ | 1 | apple | red | | 2 | mango | yellow | | 3 | banana | yellow | +----+--------+----------+ example "wrong" code: (this must return 3 rows) select Fruit FROM table WHERE Color = red AND Color = yellow but select Fruit FROM table WHERE Color = red AND Color = green must return 0 rows. (If i use select Fruit FROM table WHERE Color = red OR Color = green i get 1 row which is not what i need) I am using PHP with form where user checks different checkboxes that represent different values of the same column.   I have a C# project using VS2005. Basically I have two icons, one for the application, and one for files that are associated with the application. I have associated these files with the application, and I know how to set their icons in the Registry, but I can only set them to the application icon because it seems to be the only external resource. To show what I mean, I've built the app and opened it with Resource Hacker, and you'll notice only one of the two icons is there, using one icon and one icon group.

The cell displays values which are strings that are formatted according to certain rules (such as floats or pairs of floats with a space in between). I have made a custom NSFormatter to validate the text, and this seems to work with no problem. However, the cell (or the outline view, I'm unsure what is causing this) only seems to use the formatter at the moment my editing would end. If I type some alphabetic characters into the text field (which violates the formatting rules), these characters show up -- the only way I notice the formatter doing its job is that I'm now prevented from moving keyboard focus away from this cell. If I return the contents of the cell to a valid form, then I can move focus away. I have set both the cell and the outline view to be "continuous". It would be better if I was unable to enter text into the cell in the first place. Is it possible to make it like that, and if so, how?

I have a question probably lame but it made me stuck I have the a db query $query_Recordset10 = "SELECT * FROM products WHERE razdel='mix' AND ID='$ID+1' AND litraj='$litri' ORDER BY ID ASC"; $Recordset10 = mysql_query($query_Recordset10, $victor) or die(mysql_error()); $row_Recordset10 = mysql_fetch_array($Recordset10); $totalRows_Recordset10 = mysql_num_rows($Recordset10); I have do while loop in my page and the idea i to show products matching this criteria. But if the next product is 2 or more ID's ahead my cycle breaks. So is there a way for skipping this row and get the next ID matching the criteria. Thank you very much.
