I just need to remain topmost to Microsoft Excel only. I have choosed project in Visual Studio 2008, in Excel -2003. Please tell me how to do that with any way ........

    I'm looking for independent implementation of boost/tr1 shared_ptr, weak_ptr and enable_shared_from_this. I need: Boost independent very small implementation of these features. I need support of only modern compilers like GCC-4.x, MSVC-2008, Intel not things like MSVC6 or gcc-3.3 I need it to be licensed under non-copyleft LGPL compatible license like Boost/Mit/3-clause BSD. So I can include it in my library. Note - it is quite hard to extract shared_ptr from boost, at least BCP gives about 324 files...

    I have downloaded and setup umbraco on IIS 7.5. I got a 404 page error when I tried running umbraco with Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition. Here is the error: Server Error in '/umbraco4' Application. HTTP Error 404 - Not Found. Version Information: ASP.NET Development Server 9.0.0.0 umbraco4 is the webroot directory where I have setup umbraco I don't have experience working with .net Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!!

  • In SQL Server changing column varchar(255) nvarchar

    Hi, I am using SQL server 2008 express and some of our columns are defined as varchar(255). Should I convert these columns to NvarChar(255) or nvarchar(max)? The reason I ask is I read that nvarchar(255) for unicode characters would actually store 1/2 the number of characters (since unicode characters are 2 bytes) whereas 255 with varchar() would allow me to store 255 characters (or is it 255 - 2 for the offset). Would there be any performance hits using nvarchar(max)? JDs

    I can easly upload video file to the server with SaveAs method. But when i wanted to convert video file to .flv file i can't see any output file in the folder that i expected to find. Actually i did it in my VS.NET 2008 IDE but after i published the files to the server, when i wrote the url of that internet site i couldn't see the files(in the remote machine i can see exported file and its converted file by calling http://localhost/FileUpload.aspx )

  • Set default browser when debugging WPF?

    I'm using VWD Express 2008 to develop a WPF Browser Application. When I start debugging, it launches the XBAP in my default browser, which is Opera. Obviously, XBAPs don't work in Opera, so I have to repeatedly right-click on the document to open in IE. Is there any way to change the settings for PresentationHost.exe so that it always opens with IE? A registry setting, perhaps?

    If I wanna authenticate windows accounts to AD when a user browses to an apache-running site on a Linux server, here are the usual suspects:   * mod_ntlm (which I used in a distant past) - last update on 2003 * mod_auth_ntlm_winbind - last update on 04/2007 * mod_auth_kerb - last update on 12/2008 No luck getting any of those to work with a recent, fully patched, windows 2000 AD server. UFRAW is the example of grafical interface that uses dcraw but I can't find it's source code. My application should be very simple: to recognize raw file on digital camera or any disc and uses one interpolatio algorithm on that raw file.

    I know it is rather heated question. But anyway I'd like to hear opinions of those in Stackoverflow. Given that XML support is quite good in SQL Server 2005/2008, and there's no concern about database independency, why one need Linq-to-SQL, Entity Framework, NHibernate and the likes, which are quite complex and awkward in advanced use-cases, if by using POCOs, XmlSerializer, and stored procedures which process XML, one can achieve a lot less complex middle-tier? And since Web Deployment Projects (WDP) tool is only used for manipulation the output created by aspnet_compiler.exe, I don’t understand how VS 2008 also has an option for using WDP with web application projects?! Q2 - What is a stock project? thanx EDIT: So I was right about the fact that Visual Studio doesn’t use aspnet_compiler.exe when compiling web application projects? much appreciated
