• How to use browser options in selenium?

  I have a browser which takes certain parameters as options as shown below. testbrowser.exe -id=test -url=http://www.google.com/. Below is my selenium code. selenium = new DefaultSelenium("localhost", 4444, "*custom "+testBrowser+" -id=test -url=", "http://www.google.com/"); selenium.start(); selenium.open("http://www.yahoo.com"); When i execute this i am getting the below error. java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not start Selenium session: Failed to start new browser session: Error while launching browser at com.thoughtworks.selenium.DefaultSelenium.start(DefaultSelenium.java:103) I think the problem is with options that my browser requires as the same code works fine with firefox or IE. • C++ linking issue on Visual Studio 2008 when crosslinking different projects on same solution

  I'm using Google Test Framework to set some unit tests. I have got three projects in my solution: FN (my project) FN_test (my tests) gtest (Google Test Framework) I set FN_test to have FN and gtest as references (dependencies), and then I think I'm ready to set up my tests (I've already set everyone to /MTd (not doing this was leading me to linking errors before)). Particularly, I define a class called Embark in FN I would like to test using FN_test. So far, so good. • JavaScript Image zoom with CSS3 Transforms, How to calculate Origin? (with example)

  I'm trying to implement an image zoom effect, a bit like how the zoom works with Google Maps, but with a grid of fix position images. I've uploaded an example of what I have so far here: http://www.dominicpettifer.co.uk/Files/MosaicZoom.html (uses CSS3 transforms so only works with Firefox, Opera, Chrome or Safari) Use your mouse wheel to zoom in/out. The HTML source is basically an outer div with an inner-div, and that inner-div contains 16 images arranged using absolute position. It's going to be a Photo Mosaic basically. I've got the zoom bit working using CSS3 transforms: $(this).find('div').css('-moz-transform', 'scale(' + scale + ')'); ...however, I'm relying on the mouse X/Y position on the outer div to zoom in on where the mouse cursor is, similar to how Google Maps functions. The problem is that if you zoom right in on an image, move the cursor to the bottom/left corner and zoom again, instead of zooming to the bottom/left corner of the image, it zooms to the bottom/left of the entire mosaic. This has the effect of appearing to jump about the mosaic as you zoom in closer while moving the mouse around, even slightly. That's basically the problem, I want the zoom to work exactly like Google Maps where it zooms exactly to where your mouse cursor position is, but I can't get my head around the Maths to calculate the transform-origin: X/Y values correctly. Please help, been stuck on this for 3 days now.   How is an app's position in the Android Market search results determined? Is it as mysterious and complex as Google Web search results? We obviously don't want to change any words in our app's title or description that would hurt our position. Same question applies for not only search results, but when clicking on a Category in the Android Market. How is the order of the list determined? Hopefully someone here can help. I would think that Google would have published some guidelines at least that could help, but I haven't found anything yet.

It displays a 'Buy Now' button on HTML page and after clicking on it redirects to PayPal site. Where it ask to login to buy product but after that it goes on displying message: The email address or password you have entered does not match our records. Please try again. I am using buyer user to purchase product. I am pretty sure about the username and password. • Free hosting service for private and public git repositories

  Hi, does anyone know a free service for hosting private and public git repositories? There are a lot of services like for example the well known github. Most of them only allow hosting of public repositories. I want to host one or more of my private programming projects using git, but not all of them should be public (at least not for now). I also found the free service GitFarm which is build using the Google App Engine technology, but i couldn't find any information how it works (don't know what "built on Google App Engine technology" means) or if there are any other limitations. Also it seams like there is no web front-end available. An integrated web front-end, bug tracker and stuff like this would also be a big plus!

• Getting website data into Adobe InDesign

  I'd like our magazine team to be able to download website data in a file that Adobe InDesign can read. They can then import/open the file, make a few tweaks, and cut out a vast deal of repetitive manual labour (they currently use copy&paste for a few hours). After a brief Google I note that v2 of InDesign can import/export XML so perhaps that is my best bet? Are there any alternatives, and can anyone offer any advice on them? I am using a PC, and the magazine team are on Macs; testing will be tiresome I fear. The data we wish to format is fairly simple - a title followed by a short chunk of text (repeated about 50 times, say). I'll ask about importing images later. Thanks for your help. I will return to Google now, but it would be great if anyone can point me in a more specific direction first!

  Hello, In my django project in the view I call the last 6 values in the column and send them to the template. I then would like to pass into google charts api those 6 values and have a graph. Whenever any visitor visit my blogspot blog through Google, the search search string is tracked through a javascript and the search string is saved in another server (say serverX) Step (2). Now, when another visitor (human/Google Bot/Any downloader/etc..) visits my blog, he/she should be able to see the search string (Saved in ServerX) in my blog (anywhere, be it content or at the bottom of the blog....it doesn't matter) Well, I can code the javascript and can also write a php code to save the search string... but i've absolutely NO idea how to do the step (2) Please tell me how to do Step 2...   Hi, I've scavenged on every single topic on this forum to try and find an answer before I posted this. Most people say you should simply use SWFUpload, some others mention Activex, and it keeps going. I know this is do-able, as Google does it with gMail when you try to upload a file that's bigger than 25mb, or executable. My question is, how can I determine the file size and mime-type before the file actually hits my server. I primarily thought it was an impossible task, but Google proves me wrong. Could anyone give me a definitive answer on how to accomplish such task? Thanks

  I am new to Microsoft Detours. I have installed it to trace the system calls a process makes. I run the following commands which I got from the web syelogd.exe /q C:\Users\xxx\Desktop\log.txt withdll.exe /d:traceapi.dll C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe I get the log file. The problem is I don't fully understand what is happening here. How does detours work? How does it trace the system calls? Also I don't know how to read the output in log.txt. Here is one line in log.txt 20101221060413329 2912 50.60: traceapi: 001 GetCurrentThreadId() Finally I want to get the stack trace of the process. How can I get that?

  Hi i tried to enter into third party website using my google apps username & password. For that i used URL as https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/site-xrds?hd=mydomain.com. I used this URL in stack overflow which directs to my domain's login after i sign in it returns "Unable to login with your openid provider Errorr occured while sending a direct message or getting respose".   I am optimization my web page by implementing caching, so if I want the browser not to take data from cache, then I will append a dynamic number as query value. eg: google.com?val=823746 But some time, if I want to bring data from cache for the below url, the browser is making a new http request to server, its not taking data from cache. Is that because of the question mark in URL ? eg: http://google.com? Please provide some reference document link. Thanks in advance. Regards, Navin

• Autotesting a network interface

  Hi All, I'm developing a software component responsible for testing if a network interface has conectivity with the internet. Think of it as the same test the XBOX360 does to inform the user if it's connected with the Live network (just as an example). So far I figured the autotest would run as this: 1) Test the physical network interface (if the cable is conected, has up/downlink, etc...) 2) Test the logical network (has IP address, has DNS, etc...) 3) Connects to the internet (can access google, for example) 4) ??? 5) Profit! (just kidding...) My question relates to step 3: How can I detect, correctly, if my software has connection with the internet ? Is there any fixed IP address to ping ? The problem is that I don't want to rely solely on google.com (or any other well-known address), as those can change in time, and my component will be embbeded on a mobile device, not easy to update. Any suggestions ?
