  • Convert Existing Eclipse Project to Maven Project

    For a project at work, we're considering using the Maven plugin for Eclipse to automate our builds. Right now the procedure is far more complicated than it ought to be, and we're hoping that Maven will simplify things to a one-click build. My question is, is there a wizard or automatic importer for converting an existing Eclipse Java project to a Maven project, using the Maven plugin? Or should I create a new Maven project and manually copy over all source files, libs, etc.

  • grails set bean value from radio button

    I'm somewhat new to grails (not groovy though) and I'm working on a sample CRUD application. The issue I'm trying to solve is how to set a property on a bean based on a radio button before I update it in the database. Is the Form Helper http://www.grails.org/plugin/form-helper plugin the way to go? Will the bean have its value set regardless of if the button is actually clicked by the user or if it is left at its default value? thanks, Jeff

    I am trying to use Haml with Grails but I am having some issues. The plugin for haml has errors to parse empty lines. The plugin generate gsp files, so I think that I can use the online haml html generator. Bug I want something like an editor with syntax highlithing, blocks, etc, and that generate html. I use a Frame to show a website, unfortunateli some of my websites use flash, and seems to want to install a flash plugin - my frame doesnt seem to accept this behavior so it fails giving me a http 500 internal server error. Any one having any experiences in how to show the web site or install the flash plugin (its already installed in my regular IE - i can browse the site without problems)

    Given a maven project with a parent POM - including mostly plugin and dependency versions - how can I generate a POM which takes the information from the parent, places it into the child and removes the reference to the parent? Ideally this would be done with the maven-assembly-plugin. Update: I need this done automatically, since manually it's boring and tedious. Update 2: I'm preparing the source code for an external and want to deliver only one project, not the whole family.

I'm using some plugins such as an external simpletooltips plugin and the drupal plugin jQuery Media (to load flash video player for some video file-fields). All this stuff stop to work for the content of the lightbox, I guess because the content is not parsed... how can I solve this ? Should I trigger the plugins again ? Thanks

With SQL I would do something like: select id, count(*) from taggings group by taggable_id; But I am not seeing how to do this with the plugin. Thanks!

    I have created NPAPI plugin, which is workig fine on linux where I have created the .so file but when I deployed this plugin on our production device where we have linux environment with limited resources(due to performance constraints) , following error is thrown '/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npPluginTest.so' is not an ELF executable for sh FYI:so file created on 32bit linux box. how can I resolve this issue?

    I'm implementing a distributed application, server with rails and mobile clients in objective c (iPhone). To enable internationalization, I use the rails plugin 'globalize2' by joshmh. However, it turned out that this plugin does not translate attributes when calling to_xml or to_json on an ActiveRecord. Does anyone know of a workaround / patch? Do you have any ideas how to fix this, where to alter globalize2? Using: Rails 2.3.5 globalize2: commit from 2010-01-11

  • Error when deploying site of a maven multi module project with FTP

    I have a multi module project. When I launch mvn site:deploy, the deployment of the base module works fine, but it fails to create the directory of the module sites on the FTP server: [INFO] Error uploading site Embedded error: Required directory: '/myremoteftprepository/myproject-mymodule' is missing When I create the missing directory by hand, it works fine, but I would like to avoid that. It is surprising that the deploy command do not create it. Do you how to force this directory creation? Is it a bug in the wagon-ftp plugin? Does it exist a Grunt plugin that goes through the bower.json file and replaces this with a CDN-link from the most popular ones (and if a component is present in more than one CDN, then pick one based on rank-setting or random or something).
