  • How can I read messages in a Gmail account from Perl?

    I have used the module Mail::Webmail::Gmail to read the new messages in my Gmail account.   • Jquery/Javascript gmail style stuff for message inbox, such as select all message using checkbox etc

    I am enjoying the fact that I'm here building a private message inbox for my website after building a full user signup/login and activation system when a few months ago I thought I wouldn't have enough patience to learn this stuff. Anyway to my question. I am currently building the private message inbox for my users and wondering if there are any jquery/javascript stuff I can use to make my inbox more like the gmail inbox. E.G. Gmail allows you to select all read messages or unread or starred or unstarred or none of the messages using a checkbox. I would like to add this kind of feature to my website and I'm sure the easiest way to achieve this would be using a jquery/javascript script. I would appreciate if someone could provide some links or info to where I can find several of these types of scripts to use with my inbox page. Thanks EDIT: Would also like to note that I would like the checkbox to be in a dropdown just like gmails.

  • my domain.com is pointing to two different IP addresses

    Initially my domain , mycompany.com points to this IP: - 123.456.789.101 (sample only) Then i got another VPS and then decided to move the mycompany.com into this new IP/Host: - 987-654-123.123 (sample only) I changed the necessary stuff like DNS, etc. from my domain management panel. But when i ping it : ping mycompany.com , sometimes it gives the first IP, sometimes the second one. Also when i visit the url from the browser, sometimes it loads, sometimes it doesn't. How can i solve this? Please help. Thanks

  • Setup non-MS email (gmail) in Windows 8 Mail app

    All documentation I have found online seems to apply to an older or different version of Windows 8. I am using the 90 evaluation copy of Windows 8 Enterprise (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/jj554510.aspx). Is it disabled because it is enterprise edition? Basically, I can start the mail app, bring up the settings (windows+i), but all I am given for options are Permissions and Rate and Review. In other documentation I've seen this is where you add an account. Is this possible? If this is a restriction to Windows 8 Enterprise, is there a trial version of normal Home editions somewhere?

  • Java, Jacob and Microsoft Outlook events: Receiving "Can't find event iid" Error

    I am writing a Java program that interacts with Microsoft Outlook using the Jacob library (bridges COM and Java). This program creates a new MailItem, displaying its Inspector window to the user. I wish to subscribe to the inspector's Close event to know when the user is finished editing their mail item. To subscribe to the event, I followed the instructions in Jacob's documentation (about 2⁄3 down the page): The current [event] model is conceptually similar to the Visual Basic WithEvents construct. Basically, I provide a class called com.jacob.com.DispatchEvents which has a constructor that takes a source object (of type com.jacob.com.Dispatch) and a target object (of any type). The source object is queried for its IConnectionPointContainer interface and I attempt to obtain an IConnectionPoint for its default source interface (which I obtain from IProvideClassInfo). At the same time, I also create a mapping of DISPID's for the default source interface to the actual method names. I then use the method names to get jmethodID handles from the target Java object. All event methods currently must have the same signature: one argument which is a Java array of Variants, and a void return type. Here is my InspectorEventHandler class, conforming to Jacob's documentation: public class InspectorEventHandler { public void Activate(Variant[] arguments) { } public void BeforeMaximize(Variant[] arguments) { } public void BeforeMinimize(Variant[] arguments) { } public void BeforeMove(Variant[] arguments) { } public void BeforeSize(Variant[] arguments) { } public void Close(Variant[] arguments) { System.out.println("Closing"); } public void Deactivate(Variant[] arguments) { } public void PageChange(Variant[] arguments) { } } And here is how I subscribe to the events using this InspectorEventHandler class: Object outlook = new ActiveXComponent("Outlook.Application"); Object mailItem = Dispatch.call(outlook, "CreateItem", 0).getDispatch(); Object inspector = Dispatch.get(mailItem, "GetInspector").getDispatch(); InspectorEventHandler eventHandler = new InspectorEventHandler(); // This supposedly registers eventHandler with the inspector new DispatchEvents((Dispatch) inspector, eventHandler); However, the last line fails with the following exception: Exception in thread "main" com.jacob.com.ComFailException: Can't find event iid at com.jacob.com.DispatchEvents.init(Native Method) at com.jacob.com.DispatchEvents.(DispatchEvents.java) at cake.CakeApplication.run(CakeApplication.java:30) at cake.CakeApplication.main(CakeApplication.java:15) couldn't get IProvideClassInfo According to Google, a few others have also received this error. Unfortunately, none of them have received an answer. I am using version 1.7 of the Jacob library, which claims to prevent this problem: Version 1.7 also includes code to read the type library directly from the progid. This makes it possible to work with all the Microsoft Office application events, as well as IE5 events. For an example see the samples/test/IETest.java example. I noticed that the aforementioned IETest.java file subscribes to events like this: new DispatchEvents((Dispatch) ieo, ieE,"InternetExplorer.Application.1"); Therefore, I tried subscribing to my events in a similar manner: new DispatchEvents((Dispatch) inspector, eventHandler, "Outlook.Application"); new DispatchEvents((Dispatch) inspector, eventHandler, "Outlook.Application.1"); new DispatchEvents((Dispatch) inspector, eventHandler, "Outlook.Application.12"); All these attempts failed with the same error.

    Since upgrade from Quantal to raring i am not recieving any updates. For example firefox package - I have version 17 installed and apt-get update && apt-get upgrade does not find updates.   • RewriteRule not working for certain URLs

    There are a few domains pointing towards the same server, and of course I need them all redirect to only one of them. Redirects work, but only for certain URLs. What works: http://www.domain.com, http://domain.com, domain.com/index.html, domain.com/index.php, , domain.com/nonExistentDirectory, and if I click in the menu the following URLs are also redirected correctly: domain.com/foo/bar, domain.com/foo/bar.html or .php or other extension. What doesn't work: domain.com/existentDirectory, domain.com/foo/bar (if I type the URL in the address bar). If anyone will have the time and skill and will to tell me where's the mistake, I'll be deeply grateful.     I'm trying to install Mongodb on Ubuntu 12 but when I run this command: sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv 7F0CEB10 This returned the error below: keyserver.ubuntu.com host not found gpgkeys: HTTP fetch error 7: couldn't connect: no such file or directory gpg:no valid openPGP data found gpg: Total number processes :0 I turned off Firewall on Iptables, but it don't work. Is there any idea?
