  Is it possible to set up multiple contexts using the same path? For example: <Context docBase="/www/websites/site1/java/base" path="/base" reloadable="true"/> <Context docBase="/www/websites/site2/java/base" path="/base" reloadable="true"/> I have two sites that use the same path both running on the same server/IP. The sites use different virtual hosts and different ServerNames, but I have no control over the directory structure of the sites because they are maintained by a client. Until now, they have been content with only allowing one site to run at a time, but this is a major hassle, so I need to know if there's a workaround.

  I frequently want to share network paths to files with other folks on my team via email or chat. We have a lot of mapped drives here, both ones we set up ourselves and ones set up by our IT overlords. What I'd like to be able to do is to copy the full real path (not the drive letter) from Windows Explorer to send to folks. Example: I have a file in my "Q:" drive, \cartman\users\emueller, I want to send a link to file foo.doc to everyone. When I copy the file path (shift+right click, "copy as path") it gets the file name "Q:\foo.doc". This is unhelpful to others, who would like to see \cartman\users\emueller\foo.doc, obviously. In Explorer it clearly knows it - in the address bar I see "Computer - emueller (\cartman\users) (Q:) -". Is there a way to say "hey man copy that path as text with the \cartman\users\emueller not the Q: in it?" I know I could just set up mapped network locations instead of the mapped drives for the ones that I set up personally and avoid this problem, but most of the mapped drives like the "users" share come from our IT policy. I could just make a separate network location and then ignore my Q: drive but that's inconvenient (and they do it so they can move accounts across servers). Sure my emailed path might eventually break because I'm losing the drive letter indirection but that's OK with me.

• MacOS creates a new mount on AFP path calls

  Hi Folks, following scenario: In my webapp, my customers are using Firefox as target browser. They have the need to open afp:// folders via Javascript. To make a long story short, this really works. You need to setup Firefox with about:config and set the value network.protocol-handler.external.afp to true. What happens then, the operating system (OSX) takes care of that path and it correctly opens a Finder window. The problem: OSX does create a new mount every time. It cannot distinct between afp://host/path/111 and afp://host/path/222 for instance. Furthermore, even if the afp path is 100% identical a new mount is created. It looks like this is the default behavior from OSX regardless of Firefox. So, is there any chance I can tell OSX not to create a new mount for some sub directorys which should get access over afp:// ? update: It looks like, there are OSX applications which can change the default behavior for network protocols. So you can change "somewhere" which application OSX should call for a protocol. If that is true, wouldn't it be possible to create a script which just opens the local path without a afp:// prefix ? The question here is, where is that configuration (?) to tell OSX which application to use for specific protocol. Any help welcome!

  When you have multiple websites and each of them maps the same physical path as virtual directory, how to quickly change the physical path of that virtual directory for all websites? Note: I don't want to do use IIS Manager. I tried changing the path (find and replace) in %SYSTEM%\system32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config, then restarted IIS, but the change hasn't taken effect. What am I missing?

• Symlink path can be followed manually, but `cd` returns Permission denied

  I am trying to access the directory /usr/software/test/agnostic. There are several symlinks involved in this path. As you can see by the below transcript, I am unable to cd directly to the path, but I can check each step of the way and cd to the symlinked directories until I reach the destination. Why is this? (and how do I fix it?)   I am running Windows Server 2008 (not R2) for a print server and I have a program that needs to write to the UNC path of the network printer. I have found that anyone in the Print Operators group is able to write to the UNC path of the network printer, but standard users are not. I have tried adding the same permissions as the Print Operators group to a user, but when I try to write to the UNC path, I get Access Denied. I cannot add users to the Print Operators group because it gives too many permissions. What permissions do I need to set to allow standard users to print to the UNC path of a network printer?

• A*, Tile costs and heuristic; How to approach

  I'm doing exercises in tile games and AI to improve my programming. I've written a highly unoptimised pathfinder that does the trick and a simple tile class. The first problem i ran into was that the heuristic was rounded to int's which resulted in very straight paths. Resorting a Euclidian Heuristic seemed to fixed it as opposed to use the Manhattan approach. The 2nd problem I ran into was when i tried added tile costs. I was hoping to use the value's of the flags that i set on the tiles but the value's were too small to make the pathfinder consider them a huge obstacle so i increased their value's but that breaks the flags a certain way and no paths were found anymore. So my questions, before posting the code, are: What am I doing wrong that the Manhatten heuristic isnt working? What ways can I store the tile costs? I was hoping to (ab)use the enum flags for this The path finder isnt considering the chance that no path is available, how do i check this?   I am trying to install ANewStart GNOME shell themes on Ubuntu 11.10. I have installed gnome shell extension for themes: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/gnome3 sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gnome-shell-extensions-user-theme I got the instructions from here ANewStart GNOME Shell Theme + AwOken Icons Theme = Pure Art. But when I go to "Advanced Settings - Shell Extensions" its empty... There is nothing. Also there is a orange triangle sign next to Shell Theme drop down in Advanced Settings - Theme. • What is a suitable way to correct this program? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: How to deal with huge changes to a data specification? As described in this question, I need to modified a 4800 line c program to fulfill the new functional specification. However I have no idea of HOW to do it. Background: There is a updated version of a header file which the program depends on. I've speculated the changes and found that at least 30 critical changes are present. With the new header file, the c program cannot even compile. The error is too much that the compile said "too much error" and don't list every one. Unlike normal modification which can be easily test, this has no way to test without overcoming the 30 critical changes. For example, there would be no point to run the modified program with the old header file. On the other hand, with the new header file, the program can't run until I've covered every one of the 30 critical changes scattered in the new header file so that I can't even verify the correctness of each modification until there is no more compilation error. Do you have any idea to deal with this situation?

In this API, the return values / results of most functions are not returned immediately but are passed through a callback function which is passed to the RIL API. Some usage examples are found at XDA Develompent Tools and Google Gears Geolocation API. My question is, in these two examples, a mutex is used to guard the data instead of other synchronization objects. Now, will Critical Section do fine here in the use cases described by both examples? Which thread or process will actually call the callback functions?

  Hi, I'm running my Windows 7 installation and all of my apps from an SSD for performance reasons. Since SSD's can instantly die at any moment, I'm looking for some kind of data backup strategy. Right Now I regularly backing up the drive image on a hard disk, but that only happens once per day, which is not enough for my taste. So I got an idea: What if I created a software raid 1 of the SSD and partition on my Hard disk? All data would be mirrored on both drives, making this a lot safer. But what about performance? Will Windows 7 detect that the SSD is faster than the hard drive and always read from the SSD? Or will it randomly read from both, thus reducing read performance? • Create mirror software raid with bad blocks hdd. How to check data integrity?

  There is error in System event log like this one: "The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR1, has a bad block." Because of above I created Raid 1 on this disk and other one. I'm using Windows Server 2008 R2 software RAID volumes. Volume in Disk Manager is marked as "Failed Redundancy" and "At Risk". I could command to "Reactivate Disk" and it's starts to re-sync, but after a while it stops and returns to previous state. It stops re-sync on bad block on old disk and creates same error in System event log. Old disk status is Errors, new disk status is Online. How can I check that there is exact copy of the old disk on new one ? It is server machine so I would prefer to keep it running during this check.

Both disks say "Resynching", but there is no progress indicator. In addition, there is a small yellow exclamation mark on both disks. • Software RAID to hardware RAID, can it be done?

  Can it be done ... well. (For the record, I did not set this server up.) In my server there are 4 disks. 3 of them are in a software RAID5, and 1 has the OS installed. I want to buy a RAID controller, 4 new HDs and set up a hardware RAID5. If possible, I'd like to just image the current setup, and use it to build my new one. My questions are: Can I image a 3 disk RAID5 to 4 disk RAID5? Are there problems with this? What is considered best practice for your OS. To have it on a separate disk like it currently is, or to install it on the RAID5? Thank you. I can clarify anything. I'm not sure what other info might be pertinent.

  I have created a Software Raid using the yast2 GUI on SUSE ES 10/11. The raid works great and it's a raid 5. I have 5 Drives they are cheap 2GB Cases that have 2 - 1TB Drives in each case (Serial ATA Drives) and I connect them in via Esata to the motherboard. The problem I have as this is "cheap" storage when of the the 5 drives goes out on the RAID I seem to have no logs of any issues and it get's harder and harder to write to it until it dies. I use SAMBA to mount the 4TB parition to my PC's in my home on a GIG network. My question is this, are there any good (Free) tools in Linux to monitor a raid or the drives on the raid to detect any problems??? I haven't found any yet and was just wondering if some exist.

  My question is : Is it possible to create a working IIS 6.0 Virtual Directory with providing Physical Path of the Virtual Directory.? I know that manually, it is not possible via IIS but programmatically such a virtual directory can be created. If an HTTPRedirect is set on that virtual directory but the site physical path is not specified, then will it work? Simply stated, how to create an HTTp-redirected Virtual Directory , directly without specifying any physical path to a folder or network share. Here is my code.
