  I need to upgrade my server PHP version becasue of Wordpress New version not support PHP 5.2. On My server windows 2003 stansard edition x64 with SP1 installed, IIS 6.0, MySQL 4.1, Plesk Panel 8.2. I have follow listed steps on plesk KB. http://kb.parallels.com/6670 How to update PHP 5 on a Windows server with Parallels Plesk Control Panel 8.x and 9.x installed. In order to upgrade PHP 5 to the necessary version (other than shipped with Parallels Plesk), please perform the following steps: Stop Plesk services (‘Control Panel’ and all that are included in the ‘Plesk Run-Time’ section) Rename folder %plesk_dir%\Additional\PleskPHP5 to the orig_PleskPHP5 Create a new folder %plesk_dir%\Additional\PleskPHP5 Download necessary version of PHP, unzip its content, and copy it to the newly created folder PleskPHP5 Copy the file php.ini from the old folder orig_PleskPHP5 to the new one Make sure the permissions are inherited Start Plesk services Click the "Refresh" button in the Components Management section in Parallels Plesk Panel and check if you can see the new PHP version there After follow steps when I open a PHP info it shows me specified module could not be found. • Win7 Hangs During App Install/Upgrade/Uninstall

  I have a custom built PC that intermittently hangs when installing, uninstalling, or upgrading applications. Technical Specs ASUS P5E w/ WiFi Motherboard Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 Processor 4x 2GB G.Skill DDR2 800 SDRAM ASUS EAH2900XT / Radeon HD 2900XT 512MB Video Card Under normal operation the machine runs reliably, even under heavy load, such as video transcoding. The temperature never gets anywhere near where I would worry about it. However, the machine regularly hangs (complete lockup, no response to keyboard or mouse, no activity on-screen) when either installing a new application, uninstalling an existing application, or applying patches to existing applications or the OS. This is extremely frustrating as this machine is primarily used as a HTPC. Several apps are configured for automatic updates, and these updates sometimes cause the machine to lockup while we are watching content on the PC. In previously investigating this issue, I found one likely problem could be my Logitech Webcam. The Logitech software has a bug that leaves an entry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ Control\SessionManager\PendingFileRenameOperations Which references the Temp directory. My registry contained this error, so I uninstalled the webcam software and deleted this registry key value. Unfortunately, the machine will still intermittently hang. I've noticed that the hangs always happen when an install/upgrade/uninstall requires elevated privileges (presumably to modify the registry). I can typically get at least one install/upgrade/uninstall to complete after a reboot, but after that it is a game of russian roulette to see if the operation will succeed or hang the machine. The event log is not helpful, as log messages end at the time of the hang, with no record of a warning or error. My only recourse when the machine hangs in this way is to perform a hard reset/power cycle. Any tips on how to further debug this issue are greatly appreciated.

  After freshly installing Ubuntu server 12.04, I did the usual apt-get update / apt-get upgrade, which failed for mysql-server-5.5: Setting up mysql-server-5.5 (5.5.31-0ubuntu0.12.04.2) ... start: Job failed to start invoke-rc.d: initscript mysql, action "start" failed. dpkg: error processing mysql-server-5.5 (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of mysql-server: mysql-server depends on mysql-server-5.5; however: Package mysql-server-5.5 is not configured yet. dpkg: error processing mysql-server (--configure): dependency problems - leaving unconfigured I tried a wide variety a approaches suggested by googling, which involved various combinations of apt-get remove/purge/install -f/reinstall, etc., with no luck. I also tried downloading the package directly from launchpad.net and running dpkg -i on it (this had worked for a similar issue with a kernel upgrade), but to no avail. I'm not actually particularly interested in what's going on with mysql, per se (though I will need to figure it out at some time); at this point, my primary concern is that I am unable to apt-get install other packages! What to do?

  I've been trying to upgrade my installation of Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10, but all of the instructions I've found haven't been helping. They mostly say to run the update manager and it'll tell you that there's a new distribution ready. Well, mine doesn't say that. Things I've run or checked: update-manager -d says: Your system is up-to-date The package information was last updated less than one hour ago. I've set it to get all new distributions, not just LTS $ cat /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades [DEFAULT] # default prompting behavior, valid options: # never - never prompt for a new distribution version # normal - prompt if a new version of the distribution is available # lts - prompt only if a LTS version of the distribution is available Prompt=normal I'm definitely running 9.04 $ lsb_release -r Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 Codename: jaunty Even running the release upgrade from console doesn't help: $ sudo do-release-upgrade Checking for a new ubuntu release No new release found This is running from behind a proxy, but I've set it up such that the regular upgrades and apt-get etc doesn't complain. (export http_proxy=http://myuser:mypass@myserver:8080/) Could you think of anything else which might be stopping me from upgrading?

  Some time ago, I upgrade my FreeBSD box to 7.1-RC2, but now I'd like to move to 7.2-RELEASE. I tried running # uname -mrsi FreeBSD 7.1-RC2 i386 GENERIC # freebsd-update upgrade -r 7.2-RELEASE Looking up update.FreeBSD.org mirrors... 3 mirrors found. Fetching metadata signature for 7.1-RC2 from update4.FreeBSD.org... failed. Fetching metadata signature for 7.1-RC2 from update5.FreeBSD.org... failed. Fetching metadata signature for 7.1-RC2 from update2.FreeBSD.org... failed. No mirrors remaining, giving up. Substituting 7.1 for 7.2 gives the same error. Adding a --debug option shows the failure as being fetch: http://update4.FreeBSD.org/7.1-RC2/i386/latest.ssl: Not Found Is there any way to still do a binary upgrade of this system as the 7.1-RC* directories don't exist on http://update.freebsd.org anymore? Upgrading from source is an option, but I wanted to see if there was some way to salvage this installation.

  I updated to Ubuntu 13.10 (from Ubuntu 13.04) last weekend, and now Apache is not being able to start. It was working perfectly well until the upgraded, and I haven't changed anything myself. When I ran a restart this is what I get apache2: Syntax error on line 260 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf: Could not open configuration file /etc/apache2/conf.d/: No such file or directory So, I created the directory, and then I get this: * Starting web server apache2 * * The apache2 configtest failed. • Silent install of Office 2010 w/Visio and Project

  Is there a way to silent install Office 2010 Pro Plus with Visio 2010 Premium and Project 2010 Pro all at the same time? I've configured the msp's for each individual product and when I have the install directories all in the same folder, running setup.exe brings up a dialog asking me to choose which product to install. I want it to automatically install all three products as soon as setup.exe is launched. Any ideas?

• nvidia driver problem after update

  I know there are a lot of posts about nvdia driver, but I am not able to solve this. I updated my configuration yesterday, September 27th, and it seems that a new nvidia driver was involved. The updated completed with an error, and invited me to send a bug report automatically. I send it, but it finally said that there was no place to send the bug report to. Today I updated again, and a new kernel was there. Then I rebooted. I found a desktop in 640x480 with a horrible, unreadable font. I run jockey and tried to go back to another version of the nvidia driver, but it seems that none of the drivers listed there are suddenly valid. • Cant correctly install Lazarus

  I have a little problem with installing and running Lazarus. I just upgrade ubuntu from 13.04 to 13.10. When i had 13.04, i could install lazarus without any problems, but in 13.10 lazarus magicaly dissapeared, and when i tried install it from ubuntu software center, it said something like in my software resources lazarus-ide-0.9.30.4 doesnt exist. After some research on net i tried delete all files from earlier installations, download deb packages from sourceforge and install them, but when i want to instal fpc-src, error shows up with output: (Reading database ... 100% (Reading database ... 239063 files and directories currently installed.)   When I tried to update my Ubuntu through the update manager I received an error about some unknown resource. so i tried doing it from the terminal with sudo apt-get update but all I got is: 0% [Connecting to 192.168.43.1 repeating itself... and when I press Enter it shows: W: Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/precise-security/universe/i18n/Translation-en Unable to connect to 192.168.43.1:8000: E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead. How can I get this to work?

• How can i install windowscodecs using wine 1.5.19?

  I'm having a hard time trying to install windowscodecs.dll with winetricks. I wish to install it in order to play "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic". Just installing the game won't work. A message from wine says that this dll is necessary. So, using winetricks, i get: "Note: command 'wine wic_x86_enu.exe /passive' returned status 67. Aborting." I've tried to download the dll and place it in the system folder, inside drive C, in .wine, and inside the game folder. Doesn't make any difference, wine still requires the dll. Any ideas?

but I can't make heads or tails of them. Does this just not work properly in 12.10? That would be a big problem for me.

• Can&rsquo;t install Transport HUB in Exchange 2010

  When building my latest SharePoint 2010 demo virtual machines, I decided to try installing Exchange 2010 as well.  Now, I’m not an Exchange admin, but I thought “how hard can this be?”  Well, a little more than I thought. Pretty early during the install, I got an error saying that it couldn’t “install Transport HUB”.  I double checked that my VM was meeting all of the requirements, both hardware and software, and everything looked fine. After much researching, it turns out that the error was caused by not having IPv6 enabled on the network adapter inside the virtual machine.  I had turned it off because I thought I wouldn’t need it.  I guess Exchange 2010 does.

• How to login as other in ubuntu 12.04

  i have upgraded my ubuntu 11.10 to 12.04. i could not see other login option in the login screen. it shows only Guest login and User login. The User Login ask only password and i had never entered in as User login so that i do not know about password of User login. my problem is how to login as root from the login screen? how can i get Other login option to login as root or some other user? before ask this question i have tried the following: try to add the greeter-show-manual-login=true line at the bottom of /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf file as Guest login but i get access denied error. i do not know the password of User login (ask only password while login) to purpose of adding above line. from the safe mode login, i could login as root but i could not add the above line the lightdm.conf file . i got read only error so that i tried to change the permission to 777 like the following > chmod 777 lightdm.conf (i am within the /etc/lightdm/). but i got the error the file marked as/is read only in the file system. In 11.10 version i have created 4 users. i can see that the users exist in 12.10 . so i am sure my self users are not removed while upgrate. In short, i need Other login option on my login screen? how to get it? please help me. * Edited Question:* i have add the following line the /etc/lightdm/lighdm.conf file on recovery mode greeter-show-manual-login=true and i saved the file using wq command. now my /etc/lightdm/lighdm.conf file looking as the following: [SeatDefaults] greeter-session=unity-greeter user-session=ubuntu greeter-show-manual-login=true if i commit any mistake please correct me. by this problem i have wasted the two working day and all the works are in pending... please help me.

• Howto install google-mock on Ubuntu 12.10

  I am having hard time trying to install Google C++ Mocking Framework. I have successfully run sudo apt-get install google-mock. Then I tried to compile this sample file #include "gmock/gmock.h" int main(int argc, char** argv) { ::testing::InitGoogleMock(&argc, argv); return RUN_ALL_TESTS(); } with g++ -lgmock main.cpp and these errors have shown main.cpp:(.text+0x1e): undefined reference to `testing::InitGoogleMock(int*, char**)' main.cpp:(.text+0x23): undefined reference to `testing::UnitTest::GetInstance()' main.cpp:(.text+0x2b): undefined reference to `testing::UnitTest::Run()' collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status I guess the linker can not find the library files. Does anybody know how to fix this?

• Difference in Ubuntu One sync-speed between Natty and other versions?

  I was wondering if anyone had had the chance to compare performance between Ubuntu One upload speeds on Natty Narwhal and any other version of Ubuntu? Also, any difference on how well it connects? [don't shoot me for asking ;)] I am hesitant about upgrading on my regular workstation, but if it improves my user-experience with U1, I might be willing to risk it...   I am trying to install OS X on my PC (Hackintosh), using JAS Mac OS X for Intel. I have read lot of tutorials explaining how to install it on a PC with IDE hard disk, but my PC has a SATA HDD. How can I install Jas Mac OS X on a PC with a SATA hard drive? With JAS, it does not show any of my hard drives drives during the OS X install.
