  • Limiting max speed of sockets

    I'm using raw sockets on windows and I'm trying to find a way to limit the max connection speed over a group of sockets. For example I have 3 sockets to 3 servers and want to limit total download speed to 1mb. I googled and cant find any thing related. Any ideas?

    I'm ramping up on Vaadin and I'm getting this javascript alert whenever I try and run the demo apps. GWT module 'com.vaadin.terminal.gwt.DefaultWidgetSet' may need to be recompiled I've tried cleaning the project to no avail. As I said, I'm ramping up so I'm sure there's some simple step I'm missing or a concept I haven't grasped.

  • debugging information cannot be found or does not match visual studio's

    I copied an existing project and renamed the folder. Now I get this error when I try to compile the application debugging information cannot be found or does not match. No symbols loaded. Do you want to continue debugging ? If I click yes, it compiles and runs fine. But now I have to deal with that message. Just curious about what i change in the projects properties to get it to stop.

    Hey guys, I'm almost finished developing my large project, however I would love it if I could make it so instead of having the users profile pages at: http://example.com/profile/username/USERNAME (i'm currently using .htaccess to rewrite the GET data into forward slashes and profile(.php) being read as just 'profile' profile.php also parses the url correctly to retrieve the GET data) But it would be some much better if I could do it so that it's like http://www.example.com/USERNAME (preferred) or http://www.USERNAME.example.com Any ideas or resources?     I'm using the "join_table" function with Kohana's ORM to build a query. The following works: $category = ORM::factory('category')->join_table('product'); But this doesn't: $category = ORM::factory('category'); $category->join_table('product'); The documentation uses the second as an example, but it returns 0 while the first example returns "categories_products" which is correct. Any ideas?

  • AutoCompleteExtender not working for WebService hosted on IIS 7

    I have a web service file in my project having a web method which is used for AutoCompleteExtender and which works fine when I debug it from VS. But when I publish and host it on IIS, it's not working properly. However, I tested the webservice method directly by typing the URL and it gave the desired output. Is their a special setting needs to be done in IIS to make it working or any property of AutoCompleteExtender need to be set?

    Hello, I have been looking for an alternative to Hibernate for various reasons. I came across Liquibase and i like the idea so i am willing to try it. Liquibase will cater for database creation/modification in a SQL independent fashion. My main question is how does my code in my application execute SQL statements without being database dependent?   • 'on the web' drupal module showing images on localhost but not remote host

    Hi, the simple little module titled 'on the web' for drupal shows social network links. It links to some images on the directory. on my localhost install they are showing but in the remote install the img tags aren't even appearing.     I've downloaded and extracted the Havok demos, but the project has dependency on a folder: $(HAVOK_SDKS_DIR)/win32/dx/Include But it didn't set up a HAVOK_SDKS_DIR (there is no installer), and I can't find a win32/dx directory anywhere in the extracted Havok package. How can I get the demo files to build? What am I missing?

    As a pet project, I am trying to get familiar with NodeJS and CoffeeScript, and am finding it hard to get the ball rolling. I've found plenty of examples of single-file super-simple apps like in CoffeeScript's examples folder, however, none of those really show what a full application would look like. I've also scrounged Google to no avail. Do you have any examples of medium-sized, multi-file CoffeeScript/NodeJS apps I could learn from?

  • CSS UL removing indent in IE

    See: Page I am having problems with IE, In FF and Chrome the navigation at the top displays fine. However in IE8 (with or without compatibility) the UL seems to indent from the left hand side, not each li just the whole li; despite declaring text-align:center; width:600px; margin:auto; padding-left:0;.   • Using branched svn repository in Eclipse without Subversive/Subclipse

    How can I use a new branch in Eclipse if I'm not using Subversive or Subclipse? Do I have to checkout the new branch and import that as a new project into Eclipse? Is there an easier way to do it, or is using Subversive or Subclipse the only reasonable way? I know there are many discussions on the pros/cons of Subversive or Subclipse - I'm not asking which one would be best (although I will probably go with Subclipse if needed), and I'm not able to switch to a DVCS.

    Can I have namespace somenamespace { //references functionality in DLL_1 namespace somesubnamespace { //references functionality in DLL_2 } } And if I do this, when I use just somenamespace, will it only include DLL_1 in the solution and if I use somenamespace.somesubnamespace will it include DLL_1 and DLL_2 in the solution? Or are DLL_1 and DLL_2 set on the project that contains the namespace and no matter which I use, both DLLs will be copied?

    Hi, I would like to render specific HTML snippets for displaying banners, because each banner has a different nature (some images, some flash, etc). Every banner file is under app/public/banners/. I tried many ways, like: render :file => "/banners/somebanner.html" But it can't locate the file, because rails looks under app/views. Any Ideas ?   • Windows Server cannot execute a py2exe-generated app

    A simple python script needs to run on a windows server with no python installed. I used py2exe, which generated a healthy dist subdirectory, with script.exe that runs fine on the local machine. However, when I run it on the server (Windows Server 2003 R2), it produces this: The system cannot execute the specified program. and ERRORLEVEL is 9020. Any ideas?
