  • WebView and Cookies on Android

    I have an application on appspot that works fine through regular browser, however when used through Android WebView, it cannot set and read cookies. I am not trying to get cookies "outside" this web application BTW, once the URL is visited by WebView, all processing, ids, etc. can stay there, all I need is session management inside that application. First screen also loads fine, so I know WebView + server interactivity is not broken. I looked at WebSettings class, there was no call like setEnableCookies. I load url like this: public class MyActivity extends Activity { @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); WebView webview = new WebView(this); setContentView(webview); webview.loadUrl([MY URL]); } .. } Any ideas?

  • Spring Security - Interactive login attempt was unsuccessful

    I've been trying to track down why Spring Security isn't creating the SPRING_SECURITY_REMEMBER_ME_COOKIE so I turned on logging for org.springframework.security.web.authentication.rememberme. At first glance, the logs make it seem like the login is failing but the login is actually successful in the sense that if I navigate to a page that requires authentication I am not redirected back to the login page. However, the logs appear to be saying the login credentials are invalid. Any ideas as to what is going on?   • Spring 3.0 making JSON response using jackson message converter

    i configure my messageconverter as Jackson's then class Foo{int x; int y} and in controller @ResponseBody public Foo method(){ return new Foo(3,4) } from that i m expecting to return a JSON string {x:'3',y:'4'} from server without any other configuration. but getting 404 error response to my ajax request If the method is annotated with @ResponseBody, the return type is written to the response HTTP body. The return value will be converted to the declared method argument type using HttpMessageConverters.   • Space in search base OU causes error in Active Directory

    Recently, while putting together some code to page Active Directory results beyond sizeLimit=1000, we ran into a strange behavior/bug of AD. Specifically, if we had an OU with a space in the search base, it caused an error: String base = "OU=Area X,OU=myserver,DC=my,DC=ad,DC=myserver,DC=com"; env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "ldap://my.ad.myserver.com:389/" + base); This is the error we received: javax.naming.NamingException: [LDAP: error code 1 - 000020D6: SvcErr: DSID-031007DB, problem 5012 (DIR_ERROR), data 0 When we remove that OU, it works fine. What would cause this to occur? Do we need to encode the space somehow (+ and %20 only caused more issues)? Or is this generally illegal/unnecessary?

  • Android: Haptic feedback: onClick() event vs hapticFeedbackEnabled in the view

    If you want a button to provide haptic feedback (ie, the phone vibrates very briefly so you can feel that you really pushed the button), what's the standard way to do that? It seems you can either explicitly set an onClick() event and call the vibrate() function, giving a number of milliseconds to vibrate, or you can set hapticFeedbackEnabled in the view. The documentation seems to indicate that the latter only works for long-presses or virtual on-screen keys: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/View.html#performHapticFeedback(int) If that's right, then I need to either make my button a virtual on-screen key or manually set the onClick() event. What do you recommend? Also, if I want the vibrating to happen immediately when the user's finger touches the button, as opposed to when their finger "releases" the button, what's the best way to accomplish that?     I can't believe there is no way to change the orientation of the SeekBar widget. I've been perusing this widget's properties and I can't find anything that allows me to change its orientation to vertical. So, am I missing something obvious? Do I have to write my own implementation of a seekbar to have its thumb slide up/down instead of left/right?

    Hi I am trying to create simple application that would be able to search people on facebook using given e-mail. I am already able to log into an account using the HTMLunit tool and even create a page, which should throw result of my search. But when I try to print the result as XML the file is missing some blocks of javascript results (I can tell that they are missing by comparing file created by my application and source code, that can be viewed by using IE) Is there any way around this? I just need to get the same result IE's showsource function does. Thanks a lot.     Hey I am using apache library. I have created a class which sends a post request to a servlet. I have set up the parameters for the client and i have created a HTTP post object to be sent but for some reason when i excute the request i get a reposnse that says the get method is not supported(which is true cause i have only made a dopost method in my servlet). It seems that a get request is being sent but i dont know why. The post method worked before but i started gettng http error 417 "Expectation Failed" which i fixed by adding paramenters. below is my class with the post method.     I'm trying to use Spring's Schema Based AOP Support in Eclipse and am getting errors when trying to load the configuration in Tomcat.     I am currently using the following to filter my JTable RowFilter.regexFilter( Pattern.compile(textField.getText(), Pattern.CASE_INSENSITIVE).toString(), columns ); How do I format my textField or filter so if I want to filter multiple columns I can do that. Right now I can filter multiple columns but my filter can only be of one of the columns An example might help my explanation better: Name Grade GPA Zac A 4.0 Zac F 1.0 Mike A 4.0 Dan C 2.0 The text field would contain Zac A or something similar and it would show the first Zac row if columns was int[]{0, 1}. Right now if I do the above I get nothing. The filter Zac works but I get both Zac's. A also works but I would then get Zac A 4.0 and Mike A 3.0. I hope I have explained my problem well. Please let me know if you do not understand.

    I have two tables: tracks and waypoints, a track can have many waypoints, but a waypoint is assigned to only 1 track. In the way points table I have a column called "trackidfk" which inserts the track_ID once a track is made, however I have not setup Foreign Key constraints on this column. When I delete a track I want to delete the assigned waypoints, is this possible?. I read about using Triggers but I don't think they are supported in Android. As far as I can tell, the only way to test a change in my code (on Windows) is through the following steps: Compile the mailet code Build a jar file containing the mailet Copy the jar file into the apps/james/SAR-INF/lib directory Start JAMES from run.bat Run test Stop JAMES by telneting to port 4555 and issuing a shutdown command (I guess on Linux a SIGTERM would suffice) I can automate all these steps using Ant and some scripting magic, but I was wondering if I was missing something. Does anyone here have experience developing mailets? Did you use a similar process, or is there an easier way? For example, is there a way to make a running James instance reload the mailets JAR?

    I am using logback/slf4j to handle logging in my application. Everything was working perfectly until I started using EJBs. Once I added a stateless EJB to my app, the logger started ignoring my logback.xml and stopped using my appenders. I switched to a programmatic logger configuration to see what was wrong and now I am getting the following error when I try to use my logger within the EJB: org.slf4j.impl.JDK14LoggerFactory cannot be cast to ch.qos.logback.classic.LoggerContext stemming from the line: LoggerContext lc = (LoggerContext) LoggerFactory.getILoggerFactory(); Is there any special configuration necessary to get logback to work with EJBs?
