  I created an ASP.Net Web Application in VS 2010. That in turn creates an example Site.Master, Default.aspx, and several other example files. I then opened Default.aspx in Expression Web 4 and get the error message The Master Page file 'Site.Master' cannot be loaded. Default.aspx can still be displayed fine in VS 2010.   Hello, The problem I'm having is that if the fourth item has a long description, it cuts off as it goes below #features.   Hi guys, I am making a jquery tagging plugin. I have an issue that, When there is multiple instances of the plugin on the page, if you click on any <ul> that the plugin has been called on it will put focus on the <input /> in the last <ul> that the plugin has been called on. • nivo slider and drop down menu doesnt work in IE

• JSF2 - use view scope managed bean to pass value between navigation

  Hi all, I am solving how to pass values from one page to another without making use of session scope managed bean. For most managed beans I would like to have only Request scope. I created a very, very simple calculator example which passes Result object resulting from actions on request bean (CalculatorRequestBean) from 5th phase as initializing value for new instance of request bean initialized in next phase lifecycle. In fact - in production environment we need to pass much more complicated data object which is not as primitive as Result defined below. What is your opinion on this solution which considers both possibilities - we stay on the same view or we navigate to the new one. But in both cases I can get to previous value stored passed using view scoped managed bean. • Something like a manual refresh is needed angularjs, and a $digest() iterations error

  (post edited again, new comments follow this line) I'm changing the title of this posting since it was misleading - I was trying to fix a symptom. I was unable to figure out why the code was breaking with a $digest() iterations error. A plunk of my code worked fine. I was totally stuck, so I decided to make my code a little more Angular-like. One anti-pattern I had implemented was to hide my model behind my controller by adding getters/setters to the controller. I tore all that out and instead put the model into the $scope since I had read that was proper Angular. To my surprise, the $digest() iterations error went away. I do not exactly know why and I do not have the intestinal fortitude to put the old code back and figure it out. I surmise that by involving the controller in the get/put of the data I added a dependency under the hood. I do not understand it. edit #2 ends here. (post edited, see EDIT below) I was working through my first Error: 10 $digest() iterations reached. Aborting! error today. It's a text box for a promo code. The promo code adds a discount to the lineItem array. It would show up if I could ng-repeat over ctrl.getLineItems(). Since the ng-repeat is looking at a static variable, not the actual model, it doesn't see that the real line items have changed and thus the promotional discount doesn't get displayed until I refresh the browser. Here's the HTML for the promo code: <input type="text" name="promo" ng-model="ctrl.promoCode"/> <button ng-click="ctrl.applyPromoCode()">apply promo code</button> The input tag is writing the value to the model. The bg-click in the button is invoking a function that will apply the code. This could change the data behind the lineItems. I have been advised to use $scope.apply(...). However, since this is applied as a matter of course by ng-click is isn't going to do anything. Indeed, if I add it to ctrl.applyPromoCode(), I get an error since an .apply() is already in progress. I'm at a loss. EDIT The issue above is probably the result of me fixing of symptom, not a problem. With passion for automation and elegancy, but limited knowledge/knowhow, im stuck with "my hands in my hair" as we Dutch say, for my current menu system works perfectly, but is a pain in the a*s to update! So, i would appreciate it greatly, if you can suggest how to automate this in php: how to let the php generate the html menu code basing on a flat menu input file with TABS indented. OLD SITUATION <ul> <!-- about 100 of these <li>....</li> lines --> <li><a href="carrot.php"><p class="mnu" style="background-position:0 -820px"><? echo __("carrot juice") ?></p></a></li> <!-- lots of data, with only little bit thats really the menu itself--> </ul a javascript file reads a ul/li structure as input to build menu of format in that ul/li, the items with a hyperlink and sprite-bg position represent webpages, (inside LI) while items without hyperlink and sprite-bg are just headers of that menusection, (inside H6) to highlight the current page in the menu, the javascript menumaker uses an id number. this number corresponds to the consequtive li that is a webpage, skips h6 headers correctly. these h6 headers are only there for when importing sections of the same menu as submenu. non-li headers are not shown in menu, nore counted by the javascript menu for their ID. to know which page should be shown, i have to count from ID 0, the li items till finding the current webpage in the li structure and then manually put it in each webpage! BUT: changing an item in li order, means stupidly re-counting their entire li again! each webpage has an icon (= sprite bg-position numer), which is also used in the webpage. INTENDED RESULT I dream of, once setting what the current webpage is (e.g carrot.php) the menu system automatically "finds" and "counts" the li's and returns the id nr (for proper highlight of main menu); generates the entire menu html, and depending on which headings are set for submenu, (e.g. meals, drinks) generates those submenu (entire section below each given header); ginally adds h5 highlight inside the li of that submenu item. For the menu, i wish an easily readable, simple plain txt menu that is indented with tabs, (each tab is one depth for example) and further tabs follow for url and sprite position of icon. • How to make a form using ajax, onchange event, reload to SAME page

  I've been studying this for a while and I'm not sure if I'm going about this the right way because every form I setup according to examples, it doesn't do what I need. I need to setup a form that will: set session when you select from dropdown menu not reload/refresh page (i've read that using AJAX solves this) submit and stay on SAME page (confused because most AJAX examples send it to different process.php page which is supposedly "invisible" but it doesn't "stay" on the same page, it redirects. Basically, client selects quantity of 1 to 10. If they select "2"... it does NOT reload the page.. but it DOES set a session[quantity]=2. Should be simple... but do I POST to same page as form? or POST to different page and it somehow redirects? Also, one test I did it kept pasting my "echo session[quantity]" down the page like 7, 2, 3, 5, etc. etc. each time instead of replacing it. I would paste code but it's all over the place and I'm hoping for direction on which methods to use. Feel I need to start all over again. • jQuery Validation plugin: prompt for override

  I have a jQuery form that has validation of a sort. It is a data entry screen with two 'recommend ranges', one is 36-84, the other 50-300. The business rules call for the values to be either blank or greater than zero, but to prompt for confirmation if the values are outside of the range listed above. I have seen some other threads that talk about setting the class="cancel" on the submit button. From what I can tell, this will simply disable the validation. I need to prompt for a "do you want to continue, yes or no?" and if no stop the submit, if yes, continue. Below is an example from the book Pro jQuery. By default the top row needs to be between 10 and 20 to submit. • Threads to make video out of images

  updates: I think/ suspect the imageIO is not thread safe. shared by all threads. the read() call might use resources that are also shared. Thus it will give the performance of a single thread no matter how many threads used. ? if its correct . what is the solution (in practical code) Single request and response model at one time do not utilizes full network/internet bandwidth, thus resulting in low performance. (benchmark is of half speed utilization or even lower) This is to make a video out of an IP cam that gives a new image on each request. http://149.5.43.10:8001/snapshot.jpg It makes a delay of 3 - 8 seconds no matter what I do. Changed thread no. and thread time intervals, debugged the code by System.out.println statements to see if threads work. All seems normal. Any help? Please show some practical code. • Why is JSON outputting out of order?

  I'm am trying to get a list of weather information for 8 locations. I'm using a weather API that accepts longitude and latitude and spits back json output with the weather info for that location. I feed the coords in order 0-7 but when json processes the data it comes back in a seemingly random order. I assume it's because some process faster than others and json is outputing what it gets back as it gets it. • CSS: Centering a floated block level element in IE6 (It almost works)

  I have a block level element which I am centering on the page. I have gotten it to work for all other browsers except IE6 where it ALMOST works. http://tinyurl.com/28sh9eq If I view the page in IE6 the red box is slightly off center of the pink one in IE. If I then resize the browser window it snaps into place where I want it. Uhhhhh.... yea.... what gives? How come resizing the window makes it work? • Symfony2 same form, different entities NOT related

  I'm trying to write one form for submitting against MySQL DB, but I can't get it working, I've tried a lot of things (separate forms, create an ->add('foo', new foo()) to a field, and trying to parse plain SQL with a normal HTML form is my only solution, which is obviously not the best. This is my DB structure: As you can see I need to insert the comments textarea to ticketcomments among the user who wrote it, etc. On crmentity the description field. Then on ticketcf the fields that I need to submit from form, are this (because you wont know if I don't tell you because of the field names): tcf.cf594 AS Type, tcf.cf675 AS Suscription, tcf.cf770 AS ID_PRODUCT, tcf.cf746 AS NotificationDate, tcf.cf747 AS ResponseDate, tcf.cf748 AS ResolutionDate, And, of course, every table needs to have the same ticketid id for the submitted form, so we can retrieve it with one simple query. It will be easy to do with plain SQL instead of using DQL and Symfony2 forms, but is not a good way to do it. Also, here's my "Ticket list" query, if you need it to have it more clear...   Ok, so this is my first attempt at doing anything with JSON. I have done a lot with PHP and MySql as well as jQuery and JavaScript...but nothing with JSON. I have some data in a MySql database. In the codes below i am using a PHP file to retrieve the data from the MySql database and using json_encode to format it to JSON. This file is being called by the JavaScript that runs when the page loads (well, it runs on document.ready actually). I then use jQuery to access the JSON keys and values to fill in areas of the page "dynamically".   I'm interested in making an interactive 3D pie chart using JavaScript and ASP.net controls for a webpage. Essentially, I want to make an interactive version of the chart here: https://google-developers.appspot.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/piechart#3D I want to have 5 ASP.net textboxes where the user enters data and then submits it, and the chart adjusts according to what the user enters. The problem is that even if validation fails (i.e. the Model.validate method returns a value) the post/put request is still sent to the server. • Building my first Javascript Application (jQuery), struggling on something

  I'd really appreciate recommendations on the most efficient way to approach this. I'm building a simple javascript application which displays a list of records and allows the user to edit a record by clicking an "Edit" link in the records row. The user also can click the "Add" link to pop open a dialog allowing them to add a new record. Here's a working prototype of this: http://jsfiddle.net/FfRcG/ You'll note if you click "Edit" a dialog pops up with some canned values. And, if you click "Add", a dialog pops up with empty values. I need help on how to approach two problems I believe we need to pass our index to our edit dialog and reference the values within the JSON, but I am unsure how to pass the index when the user clicks edit. It bothers me that the Edit and Add div contents are so similiar (Edit just pre populates the values). I feel like there is a more efficient way of doing this but am at a loss.
