• US Bank Routing Number and BIC/SWIFT

  I know it is a bit offtopic, but I've been having a hard time finding more information to this question, and since this site is visited by a lot of people from the United States, you guys might know/find the answer more easily. Banks in europe each have a SWIFT Number, while US Banks use Routing Numbers. This leads to following questions: Does each bank in the US also carry a BIC number? (SWIFT) Is there a 1-1 relationship between BIC/SWIFT and Routing Numbers? Is there a list of these numbers somewhere? Background information: We're adding international payments to our bookkeeping application. Users can add international suppliers, but my boss prefered not to change the current supplier table but to have the ROUTING NUMBER in another table, with as PK the BIC. I'm wondering if BIC is a valid choice, or if it should just be BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER.

• why does absolute paths of images gets converted to cid?

  I've got mailings that need to be sended using cron. When I load the script manualy all works fine. With cron i get broken images. to change the src of my img i used: $body = eregi_replace("managersrc_logo","images/managers/acertainlogo.jpg",$body); Because i thaught that it is importent to use absolute paths i also tried: $body = eregi_replace("managersrc_logo","http://www.site.com/images/managers/acertainlogo.jpg",$body); In that case i even do not see the images when i run the cronscript manualy. Nor the automated cron will display me the images. When i check the source of the mail that is received i always see "cid:encryptedstuff" even if i use absolute paths? Why is that? I just want my absolute paths being printed in the src attribute of the img tag. Who changes my absolute path to cid: ? is it php, phpmailer or outlook itself? Any help someone?.... David

But if I use HttpContext.GetLocalResourceObject("~/A.aspx") in B.aspx.cs, it throws an exception: The resource class for this page was not found. Please check if the resource file exists and try again. Exception Details: System.InvalidOperationException: The resource class for this page was not found. Please check if the resource file exists and try again. How can I resolve this problem? I want to read the local resources from an external page, and I don't want to read the .resx file myself.   hi, I am in the conversion process of facebook app from fbml to iframe. Now i am testing using few iframe pages. $user = $facebook->require_login(); It gives the current user logged in. Once it get the variable from the facebook.com it saves in cookie by the PHP API provided by facebook). I logged out using another tab of facebook and i tryed using my app without refreshing the whole site (by just using the links inside my app). It still gives the $user variable. It indicates that user has logged in instead of user logged out. Please help me out. I want my app secured. It looks my iframe app accessible when we select "open this frame in new window". I need a solution for this too. Thanks in advance.

  After doing a light search on the Lazarus site I've come to the conclusion that this question has been asked some times but I haven't found an answer, so I'll ask my SO peers. Is there a a way to create a Makefile to replicate the action of the Lazarus IDE when it compiles a project. If so I really don't mind if it's makefile.fpc or just plain makefile, I just want some pointers on how to get to it. BTW, I've tried the option to enable the Makefile on the Lazarus options. Doesn't work.

  My goal is to implement the following scheme using the subdomain and path as attributes: Use a wildcard DNS entry that routes any subdomain to the root site: Example: *.example.com ex: http://xyz.example.com to http://example.com Next I want to rewrite the requests to point to a specific page, passing both the subdomain and the request path as attributes. Example: http://xyz123.example.com/images/header.jpg to http://example.com/get.aspx?id=xyz123&path=/images/header.jpg I've seen several questions on here regarding similar goals, but not quite the same. I'm new to using rewrite rules, so any help is appreciated. I will update this as I make progress.

• Why isn't Google Web Toolkit more popular?

  I've recently become intrigued with Google Web Toolkit and have started playing with it on some personal projects. I've noticed though that it doesn't seem to be very popular. For example, two major freelancing job boards (www.elance.com and www.odesk.com) list no jobs for GWT and the list of projects using it on Google's official site is pretty slim http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/app_gallery.html (compare to Django projects for example http://www.djangosites.org/). This seems odd to me as GWT has been around since 2006 and is supported by the Google brand name. It also neatly solves the problem of creating cross-browser completely dynamic websites that I haven't seen possible with any other tool. So, why the lack of acceptance?

• Making an svg image object clickable with onclick, avoiding absolute positioning

  I have tried to change the images on my site from to svg, changing img tags to embed and object tags(standard procedure, i think). But, implementing the onclick function, which previously was contained in the img tag is proving most difficult. I found onclick had no effect when placed inside the object or embed tag. So, I made a div exclusively for the svg, and placed onclick in this div tag. But, no effect unless visitor clicks on the edges/padding of the image. I have read about overlaying a div, but am trying to avoid using absolute positioning, or specifying positions at all. Maybe there's a way to do it without specifying postions? Or maybe theres another way to apply onclick to a svg. Has anyone encountered this problem? Questions and suggestions are welcome.

• Coda-Slider Problem in ie7, need to remove horizontal scrollbar

  Hello, I am having a big issue with coda-slider and ie7. The horizontal scrollbar is unwanted and I cannot figure out how to remove it. Since coda-slider works as one long scrolling div, I could see why this is happening, however, in all other broswers, including ie8, there is no horizonal scroll.   After almost two years of using DVCS, it seems that one inherent "flaw" is accidental data loss: I have lost code which isn't pushed, and I know other people who have as well. I can see a few reasons for this: off-site data duplication (ie, "commits have to go to a remote host") is not built in, the repository lives in the same directory as the code and the notion of "hack 'till you've got something to release" is prevalent... But that's beside the point. I'm curious to know: have you experienced DVCS-related data loss? Or have you been using DVCS without trouble? And, related, apart from "remember to push often", is there anything which can be done to minimize the risk?

• JSLint reports "Unexpected dangling" character in an underscore prefixed variable name

  I know that some people consider the presence of a leading underscore to imply that a variable is "private," that such privacy is a fiction, and assume this is why JSLint reports such names with an error message. I use Google Analytics on a Web site I am building. I make reference to GA's variables, such as "_gaq." I am trying to get my JS code to be 100% JSLint clean (I'm not religious about my coding style, and so will go with Mr. Crockford's counsel). That said, I can't do anything about Google's variables names... so, I guess I can't get 100% "clean." I post here in case I've misunderstood the message, and can do something to comply with JSLint practices.

• SQL Server CE - Internal error: Cannot open the shared memory region

  I have a SQL Server CE database that works fine in dev, but when installed on the client has an issue. The SQL Server CE 3.5 dependencies are copied as part of the deployment. The target machine is a clean Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate image. The message for the exception in the event log is: Internal error: Cannot open the shared memory region. It looks like this is SSCE_M_CANTOPENSHAREDMEMORY and the site says there isn't a connection string value to change this and that these issues are typically not resolvable by the end developers. Has anyone run into this, and if so were you able to resolve this issue?

  In another thread I got convinced into using HTML parsers instead of regexps for HTML parsing (I thought they would work fine, but they didn't ;) ). I thought of using libxml (it has some HTML parser built in), but failed to find any useful tutorial. I also found this site and it says here it should do fine even with severly broken HTML. Could you give me some examples of HTML parsing with libxml, or maybe recommend some different free library for Linux? I'm using C++. I just thought someone would have some example code, so that I don't have to analyze the headers ;)

  Is it possible to specify that multiple roles are required inside the authorization element of the web.config file? I currently have this block in one web.config of my site for a specific directory: <authorization> <allow roles="Global, Region" /> <deny users="*" /> </authorization> I've just identified a special case where a person with two lower-level permissions than Global and Region should also have access to this directory. Roughly, I want something like this: <authorization> <allow roles="GlobalManager, RegionManager, SiteManager && FooSite" /> <deny users="*" /> </authorization> Any ideas? I realize I probably should have a new role for this scenario, but I'd like to avoid that. Thanks!

  Hi, I read the mysql table lengths questions on stackoverflow on here: questions/391323/table-comment-length-in-mysql questions/2473934/how-to-increase-mysql-table-comments-length The first link suggests that it can be done and the second suggests it cannot. I don't know why there is this limitation as the comments are very useful. Imagine if there was a limit of 60 characters for your programs. I wrote about this on my site and have some snapshots to the phpmyadmin and Dbforge MySQL IDEs: http://mysql.tutorialref.com/mysql-table-comment-length-limit.html Is there a way to change this in phpmyadmin or perhaps even on the CLI? There is a bug commit report from MySQL on this particular problem (follow the link from the stackoverflow (first link). It seems to state that the length problem is fixed. I have MySQL 5.1.42.   In my application, I have models that have the Users model as a Foreign key, eg: class Doctor(models.Model): username=models.ForeignKey(User, unique=True) ... In the admin site, when adding a new Doctor, I have the option of adding a new User next to the username field. This is exactly what I want, but in the dialog that opens, it asks for a username and password for the new user; I would also like to be able to assign a group to this new user.   Hey guys, I was scanning my site for security and I noticed that it was possible for non users to send requests and post information, so I decided to put login checks on all information posts. I was wondering if it was a good way to keep a session id that is created by md5(uniqid()); in a session variable $_SESSION['id']=md5(uniqid()); for each user and then store that in a database under active users for that user. Then when a user tries to insert information, verify that their $_SESSION['id'] variable is equal to the one in the database where the username equals their $_SESSION['username']. What are your ideas on this guys? Thanks in advance!

It works perfect when people logged it is its administrator or developer and it's not when isn casual user without any special role. We tried to submit our read.article action, but it was denied with that: The built-in read.article you submitted doesn't meet our requirements (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraph/actions/builtin/#read). Please make sure your users can remove articles they shared "within" your app on each page an article appears. Once you have made the appropriate changes please delete this action, create a new one, and submit it. As for that, our plugin users have the ability to delete their activity but Facebook doesn't allow us to make this plugin public. What should we do to make it work? Thanks a lot for your help!
