  • Skype Silent Mode

    So Skype has a silent mode: e.g. it won't alert you in any way about incoming calls/messages. I'd like to use that mode while working to keep Skype from distracting me. I'd rather not quit the program or signoff during that time. Is there a simple way to put Skype in that mode? There's an option for it in their SDK but not in the software. There are third party apps that do it (among other things), but there doesn't seem to be a simple solution for this. Help please!

  • Upgrading Windows 8 Consumer Preview to Release Preview

    I currently have my main hard drive split into two partitions. One being Windows 7 with about 600 GB of memory, the other Windows 8 Consumer Preview with about 50 GB. As you can guess it is set up for a dual boot. Today while looking up how to get the C# Facebook SDK for Metro apps I learned about the Release Preview being released. I was wondering: How do I go about getting rid of Windows 8 Consumer Preview and replacing it with the Release Preview? I know i can't just wipe it off my second partition because the dual boot uses Windows 8 to choose the operating system to boot.

    Has anyone gotten UIFileSharingEnabled or CFBundleDocumentTypes to work? I added UIFileSharingEnabled as true to my plist and used Apple's example from the link below for CFBundleDocumentTypes, but can't seem to get it to work.     Hi all In our project we use FB connect authorization. For authentication via mobile phone using the link http://m.facebook.com/tos.php?api_key=2461ce...7e76&v=1.0&next=http://beta.my_servicet.net/fb_connects/new_merge&cancel=http://beta.my_servicet.net/account The user gets to FB and enter your username and password, then it should redirect to http://beta.my_servicet.net/fb_connects/new_merge But instead we see a screen with the text "Redirecting ...". Nothing else happens. My phone is iPhone.

There are quite a few javascript (Flot...) charting libraries but I'd rather use something similar to Coreplot on iPhone if it is possible. I didn't find anything on top of SVG (JSR 226) or open GL ES (JSR 239) so any help is appreciated. If you have to create a screencast or promotional video of your Android application, the default skin of the emulator is no good. Here's what I'm doing with the skins, I have a folder which contains some images and a xml file which maps the images to the keyboard, I want to be able to have the folder as a zip file like in Office 2007 (.docx) and iPhone firmwares (.ipsw), I know I can simply zip the folder and change the extension, what I need to know is how to read the files in the code.     I have a website that is using the viewport META tag to tell mobile browsers how to display content ( ). Viewing the page in the Android browser looks correct (and iPhone, etc). When I load the page into a WebView component in an android Application, the WebView ignores the "VIEWPORT" tag, and renders the page at "full" resolution, which is zoomed-in in this case.
