  • [Zend_Framework] Group by date with Zend_Db

    - by rasouza
    I have several entries in a table with name and date. I'd like to fetchAll with Zend_Db then get a grouped-by-date array. It happens that if I use group(), Zend_Db_Select method, it excludes some entries and I need them all. Actually, what I'm trying to do is to render several tables, one for each different date, with data inside. I have no ideia. How do I do that? Thx in advance

"&quot; returned zero results</p>"; } if (empty($s)) { $s=0; } $query .= " limit $s,$limit"; $result = mysql_query($query) or die("Couldn't execute query"); echo "<p>You searched for: &quot;" . $var . "&quot;</p>"; echo "Results<br /><br />"; $count=1; while ($row= mysql_fetch_array($result)) { $name = $row["name"]; $publisher=$row["publisher"]; $total=$row["total"]; $issued=$row["issued"]; $available=$row["available"]; $category=$row["category"]; echo "<table border='1'><tr><td>$count)</td><td>$name&nbsp;</td><td>$publisher&nbsp;</td><td>$total&nbsp;</td><td>$issued&nbsp;</td><td>$available&nbsp;</td><td>$category&nbsp;</td></tr></table>" ; $count++ ; } } ?>

  • acts_as_list with has_and_belongs_to_many relationship

    - by mculp
    I've found an old plugin called acts_as_habtm_list - but it's for Rails 1.0.0. Is this functionality built in acts_as_list now? I can't seem to find any information on it. Basically, I have an artists_events table - no model. The relationship is handled through those two models specifying :has_and_belongs_to_many How can I specify order in this situation?

(btw I know about cascade delete on the relations, I can't use it in this existing db) I'm using Microsoft SQL Server 2008

  • Multiple controllers with a single model

    - by Eric K
    I'm setting up a directory application for which I need to have two separate interfaces for the same Users table. Basically, administrators use the Users controller and views to list, edit, and add users, while non-admins need a separate interface which lists users in a completely different manner. To do this, would I be able to just set up another controller with different views but which accesses the Users model? Sorry if this is a simple question, but I've had a hard time finding how to do this.

  • IE is doing strange things with JQuery

    - by Syncopated
    So ... The thing is, the code works in FireFox, no problems. But when I open the same page, it gives me the following error: "Undefined is null or not an object." But when I copy the code to a localhost page, it works fine. Also when I clear my cache in IE it works, but only once, if I refresh after that one load, it gives me the same error. Here is the code: <script type="text/javascript" src="datepicker/js/jquery-1.4.2.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var count3 = 0; var count5 = 0; var count2 = 0; var count4 = 0; $(document).ready(function(){ $('#switch3').click(function(){ $('#switchDiv3').slideToggle(350); if(count3 == 0){ count3 = 1; document.getElementById('switchImage3').src = "images/ArrowDown.png"; return; } else { count3 = 0; document.getElementById('switchImage3').src = "images/ArrowRight.png"; return; } }); ... (this is the code for each item that is generated) </script> And the code that determines the div that should hide: <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center"> <tr> <td width="20" align="center" valign="top" style="padding-right: 3px"> <a style="cursor: pointer;" id="switch3"><img width="20" height="20" src="images/ArrowRight.png" id="switchImage3" style="border-style: solid; border-width: 1px; border-color: black;"/></a> </td> <td> <div id="switchDiv3"> <div align="left"> (Contents of the div here) </div> </div> </td> </tr> </table> Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance

  • Difference between INSERT INTO and INSERT ALL INTO

    - by emily soto
    While I was inserting some records in table i found that.. INSERT INTO T_CANDYBAR_DATA SELECT CONSUMER_ID,CANDYBAR_NAME,SURVEY_YEAR,GENDER,1 AS STAT_TYPE,OVERALL_RATING FROM CANDYBAR_CONSUMPTION_DATA UNION SELECT CONSUMER_ID,CANDYBAR_NAME,SURVEY_YEAR,GENDER,2 AS STAT_TYPE,NUMBER_BARS_CONSUMED FROM CANDYBAR_CONSUMPTION_DATA; 79 rows inserted. INSERT ALL INTO t_candybar_data VALUES (consumer_id,candybar_name,survey_year,gender,1,overall_rating) INTO t_candybar_data VALUES (consumer_id,candybar_name,survey_year,gender,2,number_bars_consumed) SELECT * FROM candybar_consumption_data 86 rows inserted. I have read somewhere that INSERT ALL INTO automatically unions then why those difference is showing.

  • Is it a good practice to have trim in setter?

    - by zibi
    I'm doing a code review and I noticed such a code: @Entity @Table(name = "SOME_TABLE") public class SomeReportClass { @Column(name = "REPORT_NUMBER", length = 6, nullable = false) private String reportNumber; ..... public String getReportNumber() { return reportNumber; } public void setReportNumber(String reportNumber) { this.reportNumber = StringUtils.trimToNull(reportNumber); } } Every time I see trimming inside of a setter I feel that its not the clearest solution - what is the general practice with that issue?
