• Installing Wordpress in Rails /public - missing mysql extension

  I'm trying to install Wordpress in my Rails /public folder. I get the following error message: 'Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.' PHP Version 5.2.4-2ubuntu5 is running. I assume I need to alter the php.ini file, but I don't know how, or with what. Any help appreciated.

• Can you specify per program how Internet Explorer handles hyperlinks?

  Is there a way to configure Internet Explorer's "Open links from other programs in:" option per program? I'm looking for a way to allow different programs to act differently when clicking hyperlinks. For example, if I click a hyperlink in Microsoft Outlook I'd prefer it to open a new tab in the current window (option 2) but if I click a link out of an instant messenger program I'd prefer it to open in the current tab or window (option 3). Version wise I'm looking for a way to do it with IE 8+.

  I have been seeing these following error codes on our LDAP server: zgrep -o err=[0-9]* ldap.log.1.gz | sort | uniq -c 106664 err=0 146 err=16 288 err=4 29 err=49 8106 err=6 Can someone explain what err=6 is exactly and if its a big problem? I have been seeing lately some failures to authenticate and wonder if it is related to these errors? I have seen a possible timeout problem in the 2.2 Code base and not sure if theres a patch or if I would have to upgrade to the latest openldap version? thanks kosta

  I want to add the bthprops.cpl dll (The bluetooth control panel applet) to my wine install under Ubuntu 10.04 since it is required for Dolphin Emulator. http://www.dolphin-emulator.com/ I copied the file from my windows install into the System32 folder in .wine and into the folder where the application I am trying to run is, but wine still fails to load it. Is there anything else I need to do to make the dll accessible for wine programs? (Please don't suggest the native linux Version of Dolphin as a fix - it is not working for me)

  I have a quad socket octo-core system running FreeBSD. Currently, I need to turn off HyperThreading to get it to boot, as FreeBSD only supports 32 CPUs. There were some patches made awhile ago against a trunk version of 8.1, but even after modifying them slightly to work and compile with 8.1-RELEASE, the machine wouldn't boot. Has there been any progress here? I can't find much good information about it, Google thinks I'm talking about 64-bit architecture and not literally 64 CPUs.

  I found this site to compare CPU's. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html What wasn't clear is how the benchmark for multiple core processors is calculated. If one CPU has 4 cores (such as Intel Core i7 which comes in 2, 4, and 6 core versions: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Core_i7#Core_i7), does that mean that the benchmark should be double that of the version that has 2 cores (assuming the same clock frequency)?

  I'm running OS X 10.6.8 on a MacBook Pro 13" 2011 version, trying to use Dropbox 1.4.7 Camera Upload. When I connect my Sony HDR-XR260 video camera or my Blackberry Torch 9800 via USB or even an SD card via the built-in reader, Dropbox never recognizes any of it and the pop-up dialog box never pops up to ask me if I want to import my videos or not. I do have the option enabled in DB preferences. Any solutions?

  Is is know that Xen Server is based on CentOS, and it is fact that CentOS can be installed on an ISCSI target flawlessly, but I wanted to install Xen server on an ISCSI target I couldn't find a way.   I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) with grub 1.99. I installed on a RAID10 multidevice BTRFS partition. I thought that multidevice support is included in grub for a while but on boot I'm dropped to a initramfs shell, because it fails to mount root ("invalid argument"). This is actually the same message I get if I want to mount a btrfs volume without executing btrfs device scan. Therefore I wonder: Does Ubuntu's grub version even support boot from btrfs mutlidevice ?

  I am in the process of adding a new slave to a replicated mysql setup. All of the slave nodes are virtual machines. If I clone one of the nodes to a new VM, then start it with no networking, stop mysql, change the server-id in my.cnf to a new id and then restart mysql and networking, will it all work correctly, or will mysql get confused because it used to be a different server id?
