    I sometimes need to search code for patterns in a way that goes beyond the regex capabilities of Visual Studio (e.g. patterns that depend on what was seen previously in the file or on the contents of other files). So I use Perl to analyze the source and output matching lines, along with the file name and line number. Since this is the exact same format as is produced by the search feature of Visual Studio, I wonder if there is a way to duplicate the functionality where I can double-click on a line and it will display that line in context in Visual Studio. Any ideas?

  • How do I link a Navigation Menu to an already existing Sitemap

    I am just beginning my journey into web development and I have a very basic question, but I am none the less stumped. I have setup a new ASP.NET Empty Web Application. In this application, I have created a few *.aspx pages and a sitemap called 'Web.sitemap'. I have placed a SiteMapPath control onto my Master page and, with no further configuration, this detected my Web.sitemap and displays the location of the page on any *.aspx page which derives from the master page. However, whenever I add a Navigation Menu, this doesn't happen. When I bring up the Menu Tasks dialogue box, I can't select this from the Choose Data Source dropdown, my only option is to choose <New data source...> which brings up the Data Source Configuration Wizard, and from this I can create a new Site Map, however I want to use the already existing one. How do I go about this? Thanks

    Hi to everybody. I need to do a border for my website that looks like this one. The only way I know is to split the website with 9 div, such : 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and create 8 images, respectively: top-left (on 1) top central (on 2) top-right (on 3) left (on 4) right (on 6) bottom-left (on 7) bottom-center (on 8) bottom-right (on 9) The div 5 is attempt as main. But the whole strategy looks not so well-formed. Any tips? Thanks

    I have this code: $('#page-refresh').click( function() { $.ajax({ url: "/page1.php", cache: false, dataType: "html", success: function(data) { $('#pagelist').html(data); } }); return false; }); In this code is it possible that on the ajax success function it disables the #page-refresh click for 5 seconds then re-enable it? Basically if a person clicks the button and this action happens I dont want them to click and run this action again for another 5 seconds. I looked at delay() to unbind the click for this then bind it again but once it unbinded it never allowed me to click the button anymore.

  • VS2010 final does only link project on "rebuild all", not on "build changed"

    I've just migrated a solution containing c++ and c# projects from VS2008 to VS2010 and got a strange problem. When I select "rebuild all", everything compiles and links as I would expect it to do.   • How should I link two items with MouseMovementListeners?

    I'm working on a program that will display two "views" of the same set of items. So I need to have something set up so that when the top down view is changed, the side view is updated (and vice versa). Here's a brief outline of the relevant code so you can get an idea of my structure so far: public class DraggableComponent extends JComponent { //Contains code for MouseMovementListener that makes the item draggable } public class ItemGraphic extends DraggableComponent { //Code to render the graphic } public class Item { private ItemGraphic topGraphic; private ItemGraphic sideGraphic; } I'm able to get each graphic to display fine in my GUI. I can also independently drag each graphic. I'm missing the "linking." Some ideas I've been thinking about: Have one listener for the whole GUI. Loop through each Item and if the cursor is within the bounds of either graphic, move the other graphic. I'm concerned about the efficiency of this method. Multiple "paired" listeners (not quite sure how this would work, but the idea is that each graphic would have a listener for the other paired graphic)

  • Replacing text with a link in jQuery

    I'm trying to replace a small part of text in a large HTML document with my own element which I create on the fly. The text may be a huge bulk of text, html, images, what-ever, and what I want is to find the first (or all) the position of a certain string, and replace it with an element that I create using $('< span'). Using simple text.replace('the string', $('< span')); doesn't do the trick (I'm left with [object Object] and not the actual < span that I want. The reason I don't just inject direct HTML is because I want to retain all the binds that are related to the object I'm creating. and doing a replace with a custom ID, and then attaching binds to the ID after the HTML has been altered, seems a bit dirty.     I have two entities(actually more but it doenst matter) Exam and Exam_Normals Its a oneToMany relationship... The problem is that i need a primary key for Exams_Normals PK (Exam_ID Item) Item should be 1 2 3 4 5 etc.... But cant achieve it getting errors An alternative would be to: I cound use an IDENTITY and a ManyToOne relationship at Exam_Normals but that should be like PK(Exam_Normals_ID) and a reference to Exam and an extra collumn Item to keep an order.. SO 3 collumns But to avoid the alternative tried I tried with @IdClass and got errors Tried @EmbeddedID everything nothing works Any idea??

    I'm trying to do something really simple but it's taking me ages to figure out how to do it properly. I want to have a button that simply deletes a member from a group. So in my view I have <div id="del-role">{{=A('Delete Role',_class="btn btn-danger", callback=URL('test'),delete='#del-role')}}</div> However, when I click the button, the only thing I get is a Javascript prompt asking whether I'm sure I want to delete the specified object, yes/no. That's fine but, what I'd really like to do is just auth.del_membership('role') What needs to go in my controller? I do not want any page redirection, I just want to auth.del_membership(role) This seemingly simple thing is taking me forever to understand. Thanks!

    Why does extern int n not compile when n is declared (in a different file) static int n, but works when declared int n? (Both of these declarations were at file scope.) Basically, why is int n in file scope not the same as static int n in the same scope? Is it only in relation to extern? If so, what about extern am I missing?
