Assume client's device lost Internet connection while this code was running. So the app received only some part of real response. And I'm pretty sure it happens cuz I got parsing exceptions like "tag not closed", "unexpected end of file" etc. So I need to detect somehow this situation to prevent code from parsing partial response but can't see how. Is it possible at all and how to do it? Or has it has to raise IOException in such cases?

  • Anyone know how you can get a Google dev phone to make Android apps?

    Hi there, I am thinking about converting my web apps into Android apps to reach the Android market. I do not have an Android phone. Can someone tell me how I can possibly get a Google developer phone (other than going to Google I/O, etc)? I realize this is somewhat of a ridiculous request but I have read blogs of people being enticed by google and offered a free phone to convert their web apps into Android apps. So I figure there is no harm in asking. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks I am also wondering what the cost of the developer phone is once you pay your $25 to enter the android market place as a developer through the developer account.

    I ask this question, since I am trying to get the images I have just copied from Domain A to work in Domain B, (which is using the same database). http://DOMAIN_A/magento/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/b/0/b0041-1.jpg I think knowing what the 32 character string is, which help me find a good explanation why the images are not being found in the front or backend of Magento after reinstall on DOMAIN B.     I have been searching for ages now for a good .Net based VoIP library. After having tried conaito and SIP.Net I have still haven't found anything that truly fits my needs. Basically all of these are constructed using ActiveX. Unfortunately ActiveX and WPF don't play well together. And ClickOnce Deployment doesn't register Interop COM components. I need to find a good, pure .Net managed code implementation.

    Hey All. Trying to create a 1-liner to loop through a mysql result set. Example: $sql = "SELECT uid, role FROM usr WHERE uid = '$this-uid'"; $r = db::q($sql); if($r-rows()) { $q = mysql_fetch_assoc($r-result); while(list($k, $v) = each($q)) { // would like to omit line above and consolidate here $_SESSION['usr'][$k] = $this->$k = $v; } } problem is that consolidating while loop like so: while(list($k, $v) = each(mysql_fetch_assoc($r-result)) returns an error a la each() not getting object or array, even though of course it is. I think the problem is a casting issue, but it does not seem you can do: each( (array) mysql_fetch_assoc($r-result)) Any ideas? I like to code as tersely as possible, and having "$q = mysql_fetch_assoc($r-result)" everywhere will annoy me, does already. Keep posted... Thanks!

    I just spent half the day troubleshooting what is apparently a rather famous gotcha for Coldfusion MX7 and below: The nested query loop bug: Where you are required to reference the current_row of the outer query or else you will only see the first record.   • If you knew then what you know now, what language(s) will you start learning first?

    I will probably start with C and then Lisp. Although I started programming in C, I did not program in it as much as I want. It's fun working with the low level stuff. Learning C helped me a lot when I started working. I've only started learning Lisp now and I found it amazing that the concepts it supported from the very start are still very relevant today. Well I think it's better late than never.
