• CSS problems with our eBay custom HTML template

  we are building a template for our eBay listings. eBay allows users to upload a description as HTML code and allows that code to link your external CSS files. eBay displays the user's HTML code in an iframe, it looks like eBay calculates the height of your page on load and then and resizes the iframe according to that height. Here is a link to one of our test listings in eBay's sandbox environment: http://cgi.sandbox.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110097353751&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123#ht_692wt_1136 In Chrome / Firefox there's a second scroll bar next to the listing. In IE, the listings just covers eBay's footer which is even worse I solved this issue once using CSS and i can't remember how. I would really appreciate any help.   We're parsing an XML document using JAXB and get this error: [org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Invalid byte 1 of 1-byte UTF-8 sequence.] at javax.xml.bind.helpers.AbstractUnmarshallerImpl.createUnmarshalException(AbstractUnmarshallerImpl.java:315) What exactly does this mean and how can we resolve this?? • Why are error pages ignored in RESTEasy web service running on Tomcat?

  I'm developing a REST-ful web service using RESTEasy deployed on Tomcat. I've configured an error page which takes the exception's message and generates an XML based on it when any exception occurs during the request. This works fine for any application generated exceptions. However, if client sends an invalid XML which cannot be unmarshalled correctly, an javax.xml.bind.UnmarshalException is thrown and Tomcat's default error page is used instead of mine. I have configured my error page to the error-code 500 in web.xml. Is using error pages the correct way to handle errors when using RESTEasy or is there an alternative way?

• Background settings for a JDesktopPane

  I'm using a self-made DesktopPaneUI for a JDesktopPane, I've written the proper methods for the class, and I'm running into trouble. When I resize the JDesktopPane, the background image doesn't resize with the frame. The image appears to be clipped at the size it was when the window initially opened. I'm giving it an image larger than the window, and I'm still having this problem. Here's my method call inside the constructor of my desktopUI class. super(); this.background = javax.imageio.ImageIO.read(new File(fileName)); Is there a way I can change my main class where I set the UI, or the myDesktopPaneUI class such that the background still fills the window when the JDesktopPane changes size? setUI(new myDesktopPaneUI("media/bg.jpg"));

  I'm trying to use jaxb and want to use the 'XmlAccessType.PROPERTY' to let jaxb use getters/setters rather than variable directly, but get different errors depending on what I try, or the variable isn't set at all like I want. Any good link or pointer to a simple example?   In my web application I need to use Saxon TransformerFactory to use XSLT 2.0 but I can't use setProperty method because I haven't this right on the web server and there is a Security Manager. So i have read that it's possible to do this: Use the Services API (as detailed in the JAR specification), if available, to determine the classname. The Services API will look for a classname in the file META-INF/services/javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory in jars available to the runtime. I found this file in WEB-INF/lib/saxon9.jar but when I istantiate a TransformerFactory is always selected default factory and not saxon factory. How can I select Saxon Transformer Factory? Thanks

  How do I set up the MaskFormatter and the JFormattedTextField in order to allow partial matches? For example: I want the user to be able to enter numbers with this mask "## ###### ####", so if the user enters '123456789123' the formatter changes it to '12 345678 9123'. • GWT's JSONParser producing incorrect values for numbers.

  I'm work with GWT and parsing a JSON result from an ASP.NET webservice method that returns a DataTable. I can parse the result into a JSONvalue/JSONObject just fine. The issue I'm having is that one my columns in a DECIMAL(20, 0) and the values that are getting parsed into JSON aren't exact. To demonstrate w/o the need for a WS call, in GWT I threw this together: String jsonString = "{value:4768428229311981600}"; JSONObject jsonObject = JSONParser.parse( jsonString ).isObject(); Window.alert( jsonObject.toString() ); This in turn alerts: {"value":4768428229311982000} I'm under the understanding that GWT's JSONParser is just using eval() to do the parsing, so is this some sort of number/precision issue with JavaScript that I've never been aware of. I'll admit I don't work with numbers that much in JavaScript and I might be able to work around this by changing the .NET WebService to return this column as string, but I'd really rather not do that.   I'm trying to print a URL (without having a browser involved at all) but the URL is currently throwing the following: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target I'm calling the URL using a JEditorPane's setPage method, which just takes a URL as a parameter. Assuming I can't change anything server side and I still need to get to this resource, how would I go about ignoring the certificate error (or something else that gets me to my goal)? Accessing this URL via a browser tells me the site is untrusted and asks me if I want to proceed.

• Java playback of 24 bit audio is incorrect

  I am using the javax sound API to implement a simple console playback program based on http://www.jsresources.org/examples/AudioPlayer.html. Having tested it using a 24 bit ramp file (each sample is the last sample plus 1 over the full 24 bit range) it is evident that something odd is happening during playback. The recorded output is not the contents of the file (I have a digital loopback to verify this). It seems to be misinterpreting the samples in some way that causes the left channel to look like it is having some gain applied to it and the right channel looks like it is being attenuated. I have looked into whether the PAN and BALANCE controls need setting but these aren't available and I have checked the windows xp sound system settings. Any other form of playback of this ramp file is fine. If I do the same test with a 16bit file it performs correctly with no corruption of the stream. So does anyone have any idea why the Java Sound API is modifying my audio stream?

But sometimes some clients get HTTP request error executing long running request: faultCode:Server.Error.Request faultString:'HTTP request error' faultDetail:'Error: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032"]. URL: 'http://example.com/ws' I think it depends on user's browser. Any ideas?

  Hi, I have just started using hibernate validator. I am creating the constraints in an XML file(not annotations). The only problem I am having is that I would like to use properties inside the constraints. For example: <bean class="MyBean" > <constraint annotation="javax.validation.constraints.Min"> <element name="value">{myProperty}</element> </constraint> </bean> and I would like to define these properties in a separate file. Do you think that's possible? Any help would be appreciated.

  I will have one streaming-server (W2k8, unknown streaming protocol [rtsp, mss, http]) and half dozen streaming-servers as proxies to save bandwidth. I have read the documentation and installed the modules, but I am unsure how I have to configure the proxy's according to http://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/library/ee126142(en-us,WS.10).aspx - as a proxy or reverse proxy and how I minimize the bandwidth needs between origin server and proxy's. What is the best way to realize my setup? Any short how-tos? How can I announce all players to use the proxy? Route all rtsp/mms/http-requests through my proxy? Announce the proxy with DHCP-releases? • Intellij Idea 13.x and ASM 5.x library incompatible?

  I can't get Intellij Idea 13.0 to compile my code against ASM 5.0.3 I have a multi-module Maven project. It compiles and installs successfully. Apparently com.google.findbugs:findbugs has a dependency on asm:asm:3.3 and I want to use org.ow2.asm:asm:5.0.3 to manipulate some bytecode. So in the parent pom.xml I exclude the asm:asm:3.3 dependencies from the classpath. This works fine when I run mvn install from the command line. I can't get the Build - Make Project menu selection to work in Intellij Idea. • Web Service URL change is not recognized

  I deployed in a production environment a .net solution that consumes a web service added as "Service reference" in visual studio. Today the endpoint URL has changed, and I modified that URL in web.config. But when I run the solution I get the error: System.ServiceModel.FaultException: Server did not recognize the value of HTTP Header SOAPAction: http://93.62.150.200/LogEvent. Now that sound strange to me. As you can see, the IP is 93.62.... but the new value is different. The web.config entry (with the new value or the URL) is: <client> <endpoint address="http://213.92.50.215/sawfc/WS_SAWFC_Int.asmx" binding="basicHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="wsSAWFCInterfaceSoap" contract="it.datasphere.ws.wsSAWFCInterfaceSoap" name="wsSAWFCInterfaceSoap" /> </client> I cannot reach the new web service from dev environment, so I cannot modify the Service reference there. Any idea? Thanks a lot!

• Java - Google App Engine - InvalidClassException when I change a class that was stored in session sc

  I updated my User class, and now whenever someone that had the old version of the User class stored in their session scope accesses my site, I get an InvalidClassException. javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.io.InvalidClassException: User; local class incompatible: stream classdesc serialVersionUID = 4949038118012519093, local class serialVersionUID = -971500502189813151 How do I stop this error from happening for those users? I could probably invalidate everyone's sessions every time I want to update a class that gets stored in session scope, but is there a better way, so that my user's don't have to login again?

  Hi, I have a range named "STATE". I want to set data validation in range ("A1") to only take value within this range using Powershell. Below is what I have tried. Does not work. I dont know what to put as 4th and 5th parameters. The first 3 are Excel constants equivalent to xlValidateList, xlValidAlertStop and xlBetween respectively. $ws.Range("A1").Validation.Add(3, 1, 1, "=STATE", 0) Please help. Thanks.

• Problems with deploying JSF project from Netbeans to Tomcat

  Hi! Googled everything, but can't find solution for my problem. When i'm trying to deploy my project to Tomcat, i have such errors in Tomcat log: SEVERE: Error configuring application listener of class com.sun.faces.config.ConfigureListener java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/servlet/ServletRequestListener I tried to deploy it from fresh Netbeans 6.8 to fresh Tomcat 6.0.26, but the problem is still there. Servlet-api.jar is in the tomcat/lib folder. Tried to replace it with the newest, but problem is still there. No compilation errors. Everything is correct. Problem started suddenly. No code changes, no new jars added. Help? UPD: contents of WEB-INF/lib: hibernate3.jar hibernate-testing.jar quartz-1.7.2.jar quartz-all-1.7.2 servlet-api-2.5-20081211
