    Hello, I have a Python script and I want to call it several functions down the script. Example code below: class Name(): def __init__(self): self.name = 'John' self.address = 'Place' self.age = '100' def printName(self): print self.name def printAddress(self): print self.address def printAge(self): print self.age if __name__ == '__main__': Person = Name() Person.printName() Person.printAddress() Person.printage() I execute this code by entering ./name.py. How could I exectute this code from the function printAddress() down the the end of the script? Thanks

  • Python CLI tool - general parsing question

    If possible I would like to use the following structure for a command however I can't seem to figure out how to achieve this in Python: ./somescript.py arg <optional argument> -- "some long argument" Would it be possible to achieve this in a feasible manner without too much dirty code? (specifically this) I have the file /{project}/snippets/EnforceLoginMiddleware.py and I have tried any number of permutations inside MIDDLEWARE_CLASSES to load it as well as googling django snippets install to no avail :( Any help would be grateful :) PS(Why can't I find any documentation or examples on the installation of snippets. Maybe I'm just a bad googler)

    I am new to distutils.. I am trying to include few data files along with the package.. here is my code.. from distutils.core import setup setup(name='Scrapper', version='1.0', description='Scrapper', packages=['app', 'db', 'model', 'util'], data_files=[('app', ['app/scrapper.db'])] ) The zip file created after executing python setup.py sdist does not include the scrapper.db file. I have scrapper.db file in the app directory.. thanks for the help.

  • Why second user login redirects me to /accounts/profile/ url?

    I am using Django built in view for user login: url(r'^user/login/$', 'django.contrib.auth.views.login', {'template_name': 'users/templates/login.html'}, name='user-login'), After login when I goto user/login again I can login second time. I submit the form and getting: The current URL, accounts/profile/, didn't match any of these. I haven't declare this url in urls.py. What I am doing wrong? Why framework want to redirect to this url?

    hello, i want to add in my settings.py a declaration like: LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='^private_profile/(?P<id>\d+)/$' #or LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='/accounts/private_profile/id/' so that when the user with the id 1, for example,is logging in, he will be redirected to LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='/accounts/private_profile/1/' but both alternatives, LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='^private_profile/(?P<id>\d+)/$' #or LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='/accounts/private_profile/id/' are wrong, because in my browser i don't see the current user id, where am i wrong?     When python raise an exception in the middle of a pygtk signal handling callback, the exception is catched by the gtk main loop, its value printed and the main loop just continue, ignoring it. If you want to debug, with something like pdb (python -m pdb myscript.py), you want that when the exception occure PDB jump on it and you can start debuging. Because of that it's not possible. How can i debug pygtk program then ?
