  • Would a Socket Connection Outperform an Intarvaled Database Sweep and Requests?

    - by Jascha
    I'm building a small chat application to add to an existing framework. There will only be 20-50 users MAX at any one time. I was wondering if I could get away with updating a cache file containing (semi) live chat data for whichever users happen to be chatting just by performing timed queries and regular AJAX refreshes for new data as opposed to learning how to open and maintain a socket connection. I'm sure there are existing chat plug-ins out there. But I just had a hell of a time installing one and I could see building the whole damn thing taking just as much time as plugging one in. Am I off to a bad start? Thanks in advance -J (p.s. this is a semi closed network behind a php login so security isn't a great concern)

  • Why is syslog so much slower than file IO?

    - by ceving
    I wrote a simple test program to measure the performance of the syslog function. This are the results of my test system: (Debian 6.0.2 with Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64) Test Case Calls Payload Duration Thoughput [] [MB] [s] [MB/s] -------------------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- syslog 200000 10.00 7.81 1.28 syslog %s 200000 10.00 9.94 1.01 write /dev/null 200000 10.00 0.03 343.93 printf %s 200000 10.00 0.13 76.29 The test program did 200000 system calls writing 50 Bytes of data during each call. Why is Syslog more than ten times slower than file IO? This is the program I used to perform the test: #include <fcntl.h> #include <stdio.h> #include <string.h> #include <sys/stat.h> #include <sys/time.h> #include <sys/types.h> #include <syslog.h> #include <unistd.h> const int iter = 200000; const char msg[] = "123456789 123456789 123456789 123456789 123456789"; struct timeval t0; struct timeval t1; void start () { gettimeofday (&t0, (void*)0); } void stop () { gettimeofday (&t1, (void*)0); } void report (char *action) { double dt = (double)t1.tv_sec - (double)t0.tv_sec + 1e-6 * ((double)t1.tv_usec - (double)t0.tv_usec); double mb = 1e-6 * sizeof (msg) * iter; if (action == NULL) printf ("Test Case Calls Payload Duration Thoughput \n" " [] [MB] [s] [MB/s] \n" "-------------------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------\n"); else { if (strlen (action) > 20) action[20] = 0; printf ("%-20s %-10d %-10.2f %-10.2f %-10.2f\n", action, iter, mb, dt, mb / dt); } } void test_syslog () { int i; openlog ("test_syslog", LOG_PID | LOG_NDELAY, LOG_LOCAL0); start (); for (i = 0; i < iter; i++) syslog (LOG_DEBUG, msg); stop (); closelog (); report ("syslog"); } void test_syslog_format () { int i; openlog ("test_syslog", LOG_PID | LOG_NDELAY, LOG_LOCAL0); start (); for (i = 0; i < iter; i++) syslog (LOG_DEBUG, "%s", msg); stop (); closelog (); report ("syslog %s"); } void test_write_devnull () { int i, fd; fd = open ("/dev/null", O_WRONLY); start (); for (i = 0; i < iter; i++) write (fd, msg, sizeof(msg)); stop (); close (fd); report ("write /dev/null"); } void test_printf () { int i; FILE *fp; fp = fopen ("/tmp/test_printf", "w"); start (); for (i = 0; i < iter; i++) fprintf (fp, "%s", msg); stop (); fclose (fp); report ("printf %s"); } int main (int argc, char **argv) { report (NULL); test_syslog (); test_syslog_format (); test_write_devnull (); test_printf (); }

  • DH61AG's mythical 2 pin 19v power socket and is too low of votage bad?

    - by Nick Orton
    I have an intel dh61ag motherboard. It has an external 19v power adapter. It also has a 1x2 pin 19VDC internal power connector. Now I cannot find a psu or adapter or anything that will plug into this. In an intel forum, one person said that he plugged half of a 2x2 psu connector in and it worked. Since this would deliver 12v into a socket that asks for 19v, I suspect that this is a bad idea. I don't know much about hardware. Can anyone explain to me why this would be a bad idea?

  • Received a RAMPAGE IV FORMULA MOBO. Possible CPU Socket problems

    - by Tantan
    I recently received a Rampage IV Formula MOBO in a trade. From everything I read online this seems like a pretty nice piece of hardware. There's one thing I'm worried about though. It appears as though the socket where the CPU goes might have some bent/missing pins. I'm not exactly a computer expert and I wanted to know if this could be any sort of problem. I would post a picture but I apparently don't have enough rep for that... Also, if I did want to move my current rig onto the new MOBO would it even be worth it? MY CURRENT COMPUTER SPECS i3-3220 CPU 8GB DDR3 RAM GeForce GTX460 GPU With a Biostar MOBO!

  • C socket: problem with connect() and/or accept() between clients. 111: Connection refused

    - by Fantastic Fourier
    Hello ladies and gents, I'm having a bit of problem with accept(). I have a multiple clients and one server. The clients can connect and communicate just fine with server. But at one point, I need some clients to be directly connected to each other and I'm having a bit of difficulty there. The clients have bunch of threads going on, where one of them is handle_connection() and it has a while(1), looping forever to listen() and accept() whatever incoming connections. Whenever a client tries to connect() to other client, connect() returns an error, 111: Connection Refused. I know I have the right IP address and right port (I have specified a port just for between-client connections). The client that is waiting for connection doesn't notice anything, no new connection, nada. I copied some parts of the code, in hopes that someone can point out what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for any inputs! This is all client side code. void * handle_connections(void * arg) is a thread that loops forever to accept() any incoming connections. My server has a very similar thang going on and it works very well. (not sure why it doesn't work here..) This is the part of client that is waiting for a new incoming connection. int handle_request(void * arg, struct message * msg) is called at one point during program and tries to connect to a client that is specified in struct message * msg which includes struct sockaddr_in with IP address and port number and whatever. #define SERVER_PORT 10000 #define CLIENT_PORT 3456 #define MAX_CONNECTION 20 #define MAX_MSG 50 void * handle_connections(void * arg) { struct fd_info * info; struct sockaddr_in client_address; struct timeval timeout; fd_set readset, copyset; bzero((char * ) &client_address, sizeof(client_address)); // copy zeroes into string client_address.sin_family = AF_INET; client_address.sin_addr.s_addr = htonl(INADDR_ANY); client_address.sin_port = htons(CLIENT_PORT); sockfd = socket(AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, 0); rv = listen(sockfd,MAX_CONNECTION); while(1) { new_sockfd = accept(sockfd, (struct sockaddr *) &client_address, &client_addr_len); //blocks if (new_sockfd < 0) { printf("C: ERROR accept() %i: %s \n", errno, strerror(errno)); sleep(2); } else { printf("C: accepted\n"); FD_SET(new_sockfd, &readset); // sets bit for new_sockfd to list of sockets to watch out for if (maxfd < new_sockfd) maxfd = new_sockfd; if (minfd > new_sockfd) minfd = new_sockfd; } //end if else (new_sockfd) } // end of the forever while loop } int handle_request(void * arg, struct message * msg) { char * cname, gname, payload; char * command[3]; int i, rv, sockfd, client_addr_len; struct sockaddr_in client_address; struct fd_info * info; info = (struct fd_info *) arg; sockfd = info->sock_fd; sockfd = socket(AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, 0); if (sockfd == -1) { printf("HR: ERROR socket() %i: %s \n", errno, strerror(errno)); break; } else if (sockfd > 0) { printf("HR: new socks is %i \n", sockfd); printf("HR: sin_family is %i: %i\n", msg->peer.client_address.sin_family, msg->peer.client_address.sin_port); //************************************************************* //this is the part that returns error 111: Connection refused!!! //************************************************************* rv = connect(sockfd, (struct sockaddr *) &msg->peer.client_address, sizeof(struct sockaddr)); if (rv == -1) { printf("HR: ERROR: connect() %i: %s \n", errno, strerror(errno)); printf("HR: at %li \n", msg->peer.client_address.sin_addr.s_addr); break; } else if (rv > 0) { info->max_fd = sockfd; printf("HR: connected successfully!! \n"); } } }

  • How to know if the client has terminated in sockets

    - by shadyabhi
    Suppose, I have a connected socket after writing this code.. if ((sd = accept(socket_d, (struct sockaddr *)&client_addr, &alen)) < 0) { perror("accept failed\n"); exit(1); } How can I know at the server side that client has exited. My whole program actually does the following.. Accepts a connection from client Starts a new thread that reads messages from that particular client and then broadcast this message to all the connected clients. If you want to see the whole code... In this whole code. I am also struggling with one more problem that whenever I kill a client with Ctrl+C, my server terminates abruptly.. • How do I convert a System::IO::Stream^ to an LPCSTR for PlaySound?

    - by Jon Cage
    I'm trying to embed and then play back a .wav file in a C++/CLI app but all the examples I've seen which use PlaySound are in VB. I can't see how to get froma Stream^ to the LPCSTR which PlaySound requires: System::IO::Stream^ s = Assembly::GetExecutingAssembly()->GetManifestResourceStream ("Ping.wav"); LPCSTR buf = s->????; PlaySound(buf, NULL, SND_ASYNC|SND_MEMORY|SND_NOWAIT); I guess I need some sort of horrible .net memory conversion magic.

    I'm trying to define my own operator in Io, and I'm having a hard time. I have an object: MyObject := Object clone do( lst := list() !! := method(n, lst at(n)) ) But when I call it, like this: x := MyObject clone do(lst appendSeq(list(1, 2, 3))) x !! 2 But I get an exception that argument 0 to at must not be nil. How can I fix?

I have also used using (StreamReader reader = File.OpenText(fileName)) { text = reader.ReadToEnd(); But still there is same problem. What is the reason can be there ? And for that what can be the solution ? Or any other way to read the file ?

  • Configuring zend to use gmail smtp: Windows Apache dev-environment: "Could not open socket" error - repeatedly - going mad

    - by confused
    My dev environment is Win XP SP2 / Apache 2.something PHP 5.something_or_other My prod env is Linux Ubuntu / Apache 2.something_else PHP 5.something_or_other_else The code is all Zend Framework Version: 1.11.1 I can telnet to: smtp.gmail.com 465 from the PC. I have Mercury configured on my PC to use gmail as it's smtp host and it works just fine. (MercuryC SMTP Client). Mercury is set to use port 465 and SSL on smtp.gmail.com -- No problem. Zend mail works just fine on my production environment using the production mail server to send out mail. It's the same basic application.ini but with different values in the mail variables. On my local PC dev setup, my application.ini contains: (same values as I use in Mercury) mail.templatePath = APPLICATION_PATH "/emails" mail.sender.name = "myAccount" mail.sender.email = "[email protected]" mail.host = smtp.gmail.com mail.smtp.auth = "login" mail.smtp.username = "[email protected]" mail.smtp.password = "myPassWord" mail.smtp.ssl = "ssl" mail.smtp.port = 465 I have been doing trial and error for hours trying to get a single email out with no success. In every case, regardless of server or port settings it throws an error and reports: Could not open socket. Both Apache and Mercury Core are exceptions in my Windows Firewall config. Mercury seems to be having no problem. I have searched stackoverflow before posting this and have been googling for hours -- with no success. I am slowly losing my mind I would be very much obliged for any tip as to what might be wrong. Thanks for reading. =================== BTW When I use the SAME application.ini values on my local PC as on the production host, I get the same "Could not open socket" error. Those values are: mail.templatePath = APPLICATION_PATH "/emails" mail.sender.name = "otherUser" mail.sender.email = "[email protected]" mail.host = smtp.otherServer.com mail.smtp.auth = "login" mail.smtp.username = "[email protected]" mail.smtp.password = "otherPAssWord" mail.smtp.ssl = "ssl" mail.smtp.port = 465 I know these work in the production (Ubuntu) environment. I'm utterly baffled.

  • one two-directed tcp socket OR two one-directed? (linux, high volume, low latency)

    - by osgx
    Hello I need to send (interchange) a high volume of data periodically with the lowest possible latency between 2 machines. The network is rather fast (e.g. 1Gbit or even 2G+). Os is linux. Is it be faster with using 1 tcp socket (for send and recv) or with using 2 uni-directed tcp sockets? The test for this task is very like NetPIPE network benchmark - measure latency and bandwidth for sizes from 2^1 up to 2^13 bytes, each size sent and received 3 times at least (in teal task the number of sends is greater. both processes will be sending and receiving, like ping-pong maybe). The benefit of 2 uni-directed connections come from linux: http://lxr.linux.no/linux+v2.6.18/net/ipv4/tcp_input.c#L3847 3847/* 3848 * TCP receive function for the ESTABLISHED state. 3849 * 3850 * It is split into a fast path and a slow path. • Do Any Client-Side JavaScript Frameworks Integrate Well With Node.js+Express.js+socket.io.js?

    - by Tom D
    I'm building an webapp using Node.js+Express.js+socket.io.js on the backend. Do any of the popular front-end frameworks (Agility, Angular, Backbone, Closure, Dojo, Ember, GWT, jQuery, Knockback, Knockout, Spine, YUI, etc) integrate well with this backend for "real-time" applications? I want my application to have a very "real-time" feel. Specifically, when a user submits a form I want the information to be sent using web sockets to the backend for validation and (if validation passes) to be updated in the database. Then, the server-side will use web sockets to send a confirmation that the data was saved or some list of errors. I will use the server's response to update the page using JavaScript. I know all this can be done with any of the listed frameworks. I'm interested in features of particular frameworks that will help the framework integrate better with the Node-based backend than the other frameworks.

  • Why does Java force user-agent through simple Socket IO?

    I am using nothing but raw Socket IO. There isn't one HttpURLConnection nor any http client libs in my project. • Oracle Linux and Oracle VM pricing guide

    - by wcoekaer
    A few days ago someone showed me a pricing guide from a Linux vendor and I was a bit surprised at the complexity of it. Especially when you look at larger servers (4 or 8 sockets) and when adding virtual machine use into the mix. I think we have a very compelling and simple pricing model for both Oracle Linux and Oracle VM. Let me see if I can explain it in 1 page, not 10 pages. This pricing information is publicly available on the Oracle store, I am using the current public list prices. Also keep in mind that this is for customers using non-oracle x86 servers. When a customer purchases an Oracle x86 server, the annual systems support includes full use (all you can eat) of Oracle Linux, Oracle VM and Oracle Solaris (no matter how many VMs you run on that server, in case you deploy guests on a hypervisor). This support level is the equivalent of premier support in the list below. Let's start with Oracle VM (x86) : Oracle VM support subscriptions are per physical server on which you deploy the Oracle VM Server product. (1) Oracle VM Premier Limited - 1- or 2 socket server : $599 per server per year (2) Oracle VM Premier - more than 2 socket server (4, or 8 or whatever more) : $1199 per server per year The above includes the use of Oracle VM Manager and Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control's Virtualization management pack (including self service cloud portal, etc..) 24x7 support, access to bugfixes, updates and new releases. It also includes all options, live migrate, dynamic resource scheduling, high availability, dynamic power management, etc If you want to play with the product, or even use the product without access to support services, the product is freely downloadable from edelivery. Next, Oracle Linux : Oracle Linux support subscriptions are per physical server. If you plan to run Oracle Linux as a guest on Oracle VM, VMWare or Hyper-v, you only have to pay for a single subscription per system, we do not charge per guest or per number of guests. In other words, you can run any number of Oracle Linux guests per physical server and count it as just a single subscription. (1) Oracle Linux Network Support - any number of sockets per server : $119 per server per year Network support does not offer support services. It provides access to the Unbreakable Linux Network and also offers full indemnification for Oracle Linux. (2) Oracle Linux Basic Limited Support - 1- or 2 socket servers : $499 per server per year This subscription provides 24x7 support services, access to the Unbreakable Linux Network and the Oracle Support portal, indemnification, use of Oracle Clusterware for Linux HA and use of Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud control for Linux OS management. It includes ocfs2 as a clustered filesystem. (3) Oracle Linux Basic Support - more than 2 socket server (4, or 8 or more) : $1199 per server per year This subscription provides 24x7 support services, access to the Unbreakable Linux Network and the Oracle Support portal, indemnification, use of Oracle Clusterware for Linux HA and use of Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud control for Linux OS management. It includes ocfs2 as a clustered filesystem (4) Oracle Linux Premier Limited Support - 1- or 2 socket servers : $1399 per server per year This subscription provides 24x7 support services, access to the Unbreakable Linux Network and the Oracle Support portal, indemnification, use of Oracle Clusterware for Linux HA and use of Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud control for Linux OS management, XFS filesystem support. It also offers Oracle Lifetime support, backporting of patches for critical customers in previous versions of package and ksplice zero-downtime updates. (5) Oracle Linux Premier Support - more than 2 socket servers : $2299 per server per year This subscription provides 24x7 support services, access to the Unbreakable Linux Network and the Oracle Support portal, indemnification, use of Oracle Clusterware for Linux HA and use of Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud control for Linux OS management, XFS filesystem support. It also offers Oracle Lifetime support, backporting of patches for critical customers in previous versions of package and ksplice zero-downtime updates. (6) Freely available Oracle Linux - any number of sockets You can freely download Oracle Linux, install it on any number of servers and use it for any reason, without support, without right to use of these extra features like Oracle Clusterware or ksplice, without indemnification. However, you do have full access to all errata as well. Need support? then use options (1)..(5) So that's it. Count number of 2 socket boxes, more than 2 socket boxes, decide on basic or premier support level and you are done. You don't have to worry about different levels based on how many virtual instance you deploy or want to deploy. A very simple menu of choices. We offer, inclusive, Linux OS clusterware, Linux OS Management, provisioning and monitoring, cluster filesystem (ocfs), high performance filesystem (xfs), dtrace, ksplice, ofed (infiniband stack for high performance networking). No separate add-on menus. NOTE : socket/cpu can have any number of cores. So whether you have a 4,6,8,10 or 12 core CPU doesn't matter, we count the number of physical CPUs.

    - by user1488595
    I am attempting to get JRE 7 run in firefox in ubuntu 12.04, 32 bit. I've tried to follow this article: www.liberiangeek.net/2012/04/install-oracle-java-runtime-jre-7-in-ubuntu-12-04-precise-pangolin/ . I've also tried this repository: www.webupd8.org/2012/06/how-to-install-oracle-java-7-in-debian.html As well as installing JDK, which contains JRE, by following this article: www.liberiangeek.net/2012/04/install-oracle-java-jdk-7-in-ubuntu-12-04-precise-pangolin/ With all above method of installation, I get the following error in firefox console when I run applet with firefox: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "/usr/lib/jvm/jre1.7.0/bin/java": error=13, Permission denied at java.lang.ProcessBuilder.start(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.jvm.JVMLauncher.start(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMInstance.startImpl(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMInstance.start(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMManager.getOrCreateBestJVMInstance(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMManager.startAppletImpl(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMManager.startApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMManager.startApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.MozillaPlugin.maybeStartApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.MozillaPlugin.setWindow(Unknown Source) Caused by: java.io.IOException: error=13, Permission denied at java.lang.UNIXProcess.forkAndExec(Native Method) at java.lang.UNIXProcess.(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ProcessImpl.start(Unknown Source) ... 10 more java.io.IOException at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMInstance.startImpl(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMInstance.start(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMManager.getOrCreateBestJVMInstance(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMManager.startAppletImpl(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMManager.startApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMManager.startApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.MozillaPlugin.maybeStartApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.MozillaPlugin.setWindow(Unknown Source) Caused by: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "/usr/lib/jvm/jre1.7.0/bin/java": error=13, Permission denied at java.lang.ProcessBuilder.start(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.jvm.JVMLauncher.start(Unknown Source) ... 8 more Caused by: java.io.IOException: error=13, Permission denied at java.lang.UNIXProcess.forkAndExec(Native Method) at java.lang.UNIXProcess.(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ProcessImpl.start(Unknown Source) ... 10 more Exception in thread "main" java.lang.RuntimeException: java.io.IOException at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMManager.getOrCreateBestJVMInstance(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMManager.startAppletImpl(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMManager.startApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMManager.startApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.MozillaPlugin.maybeStartApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.MozillaPlugin.setWindow(Unknown Source) Caused by: java.io.IOException at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMInstance.startImpl(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.main.server.JVMInstance.start(Unknown Source) ... 6 more Caused by: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "/usr/lib/jvm/jre1.7.0/bin/java": error=13, Permission denied at java.lang.ProcessBuilder.start(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.jvm.JVMLauncher.start(Unknown Source) ... 8 more Caused by: java.io.IOException: error=13, Permission denied at java.lang.UNIXProcess.forkAndExec(Native Method) at java.lang.UNIXProcess.(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ProcessImpl.start(Unknown Source) ... 10 more I've tried to type: sudo chmod 777 /usr/lib/jvm/jre1.7.0/bin/java It did not work. • SPARC T5-4 LDoms for RAC and WebLogic Clusters

    - by Jeff Taylor-Oracle
    I wanted to use two Oracle SPARC T5-4 servers to simultaneously host both Oracle RAC and a WebLogic Server Cluster. I chose to use Oracle VM Server for SPARC to create a cluster like this: There are plenty of trade offs and decisions that need to be made, for example: Rather than configuring the system by hand, you might want to use an Oracle SuperCluster T5-8 My configuration is similar to jsavit's: Availability Best Practices - Example configuring a T5-8 but I chose to ignore some of the advice. Maybe I should have included an  alternate service domain, but I decided that I already had enough redundancy Both Oracle SPARC T5-4 servers were to be configured like this: Cntl 0.25  4  64GB • Why is lighttpd and fastcgi keeping sending me the *.scgi file instead of the website content?

    - by e-satis
    I have the following config: server.modules = ( "mod_compress", "mod_access", "mod_alias", "mod_rewrite", "mod_redirect", "mod_secdownload", "mod_h264_streaming", "mod_flv_streaming", "mod_accesslog", "mod_auth", "mod_status", "mod_expire", "mod_fastcgi" ) [...] fastcgi.server = ( ".php" => (( "bin-path" => "/usr/bin/php-cgi", "socket" => "/var/tmp/lighttpd/php-fastcgi.socket" + var.PID, "max-procs" => 1, "kill-signal" => 9, "idle-timeout" => 10, "bin-environment" => ( "PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN" => "200", "PHP_FCGI_MAX_REQUESTS" => "1000" ), "/pyapps/essai/blondes.fcgi" => ( "main" => ( "socket" => "/var/tmp/lighttpd/django-fastcgi.socket", ), ), "bin-copy-environment" => ( "PATH", "SHELL", "USER" ), "broken-scriptfilename" => "enable" ))) [...] $HTTP["host"] =~ "(^|www\.)cam\.com(\:[0-9]*)?$" { server.document-root = "/home/cam/web/" accesslog.filename = "/home/cam/log/access.log" server.errorlog = "/home/cam/log/error.log" server.follow-symlink = "enable" # files to check for if .../ is requested server.indexfiles = ( "index.php", "index.html", "index.htm", "index.rb") url.rewrite = ( "^(/blondes/.*)$" => "/pyapps/essai/blondes.fcgi$1" ) } I have the following dir tree: /home/tv/web/ `-- pyapps `-- essai `-- __init__.py `-- blondes.fcgi `-- blondes.pid `-- django-fcgi.py `-- manage.py `-- manage.pyo `-- plop `-- settings.py `-- urls.py No error when restarting lighthttpd. The I run: ./manage.py runfcgi method=prefork socket=/var/tmp/lighttpd/django-fastcgi.socket daemonize=false pidfile=blondes.pid No errors neither. I then go to http://cam.com/blondes/. I offers me to download an empty file. I checked permissions but everything is set to the same user and group, and they work for the PHP site. The file /var/tmp/lighttpd/django-fastcgi.socket exists. When I reload the page, I got no output in error logs, nor in the manage.py runfcgi command. I probably missed something obvious, but what ?
