  • UITableView manual scrolling to the last row

    I have a table view controller which doesn't let me manually scroll to the last row. It automatically scrolls slightly up so I could never select the last 2-3 rows. Anyone experienced this problem? Should I set a minimum height for the table view to solve this? If so how?

    I am converting reports from version 2 to version 3. When I select the vertical table in the report, the propeties box appears but any changes I make is not reflected in the table. If I change any attributes at the column or cell level however, the changes are taken. The problem is that some attributes like alternate row coloring are not available at the column level.

How can I do this?

    In SharePoint 2010 when you hover over a column heading (i.e. to sort) in a list table, you get a hover effect, how can you supress / change this? I can see it uses OnChildColumn(this), so is there a way to modify this - either preventing the effect (e.g. when sorting can't be done on a column), or using a different background image? Also want to do the same when you hover over a cell in any of the list table's contents.

    I want to split a large table horizontally, and I would like to make sure that all three of them have the same schema. Currently I am using this piece of code to create the tables: statement .executeUpdate("CREATE TABLE AnnotationsMolecularFunction (Id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY ASC AUTOINCREMENT, " + "ProteinId NOT NULL, " + "GOId NOT NULL, " + "UNIQUE (ProteinId, GOId)" + "FOREIGN KEY(ProteinId) REFERENCES Protein(Id))"); There is one such statement for each table. This is bad, because if I decide to change the schema later (which will most certainly happen), I will have to change it three times, which begs for errors, so I would like a way to make sure that the other tables have the same schema without explicitly writing it again. I can use: statement .executeUpdate("CREATE TABLE AnnotationsBiologicalProcess AS SELECT * FROM AnnotationsMolecularFunction"); to create the other tables with the same columns, but the constraints are not aplied. I could of course just generate the same query-string three times with different table-names in Java, but I would like to know if there is an SQL-way of achieving this.

    I need to modify a column in a SQLite database but I have to do it programatically due to the database already being in production. From my research I have found that in order to do this I must do the following. Create a new table with new schema Copy data from old table to new table Drop old table Rename new table to old tables name That seems like a ridiculous amount of work for something that should be relatively easy. Is there not an easier way? All I need to do is change a constraint on a existing column and give it a default value.

    Hello everybody I need some help in auditing in Oracle. We have a database with many tables and we want to be able to audit every change made to any table in any field. So the things we want to have in this audit are: user who modified time of change occurred old value and new value so we started creating the trigger which was supposed to perform the audit for any table but then had issues... As I mentioned before we have so many tables and we cannot go creating a trigger per each table. So the idea is creating a master trigger that can behaves dynamically for any table that fires the trigger. I was trying to do it but no lucky at all....it seems that Oracle restricts the trigger environment just for a table which is declared by code and not dynamically like we want to do. Do you have any idea on how to do this or any other advice for solving this issue? thanks in advance.

  • Small gaps in section headers with custom headers - iPhone / Objective-C

    Hi there! Since I wanted to use the standard section header with a different font size, I just made custom section headers by using an UIImageView with the standard section header as an image. It looks fine at first, but when I scroll the table, there are small gaps below and above the section headers: Since I am not allowed to post images or more than one hyperlink yet, I will have to provide you with one link to those images: Click me! Picture: How it looks like without touching anything Picture: Dragging the table down Picture: Dragging/Scrolling the table up So as you can hopefully see, there is a small empty gap under (2nd pic) and above (3rd pic) the section header. Another thing to mention is, that the standard behaviour of non-custom section headers is, that they don't become transparent when I drag the table down (making the table offset < 0.0). Is there a way to make custom section headers mimic the same behaviour without those annoying gaps? Greetings, Zhar

    Say I have a select statement that goes.. select * from animals That gives a a query result of all the columns in the table. Now, if the 42nd column of the table animals is is_parent, and I want to return that in my results, just after gender, so I can see it more easily. But I also want all the other columns. select is_parent, * from animals This returns ORA-00936: missing expression. The same statement will work fine in Sybase, and I know that you need to add a table alias to the animals table to get it to work ( select is_parent, a.* from animals ani), but why must Oracle need a table alias to be able to work out the select?

    Hi, Can someone explain to me the inner workings of acts_as_xapian_jobs table? I ran into an issue with the acts_as_xapian plugin recently, where I kept getting the following error when it creates an object with xapian indexed fields: Mysql::Error: Duplicate entry 'String-2147483647' for key 2: INSERT INTO `acts_as_xapian_jobs` (`action`, `model`, `model_id`) VALUES ('update', 'String', 23730251831560) It turns out the model_id exceeded the max int value of 2147483647. The workaround was to update model_id to use bigint. Why would the model_id be so huge? By looking at content of acts_as_xapian_jobs, it seems it creates a row for every field that is being indexed.. Understanding how a job gets created in the table would help a great deal.     I am working on a simple gaming ladder script. I am having little to no luck trying to find an effective way to reset my ladder information while leaving my table id and name fields intact. I am trying to get create a loop to update my entire table, similar to the way I draw my table. Effective reseting my ladder for a new season to begin. The only way I have been able to complete this is to find out how many rows there are and run a for loop. It seems vary inefficient. Was hoping I could get some better insight as to how to go about this.

    Hi All, I am stuck with a small problem here.. What i am trying to do is copy description of id's from one table to another. I have writter half of the javascript and can anybody tell me how to convert this function in jquery. I want the description copied from the first table based on the id to the second table. Have done this in jquery using 'contains', (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2449845/comparing-2-tables-column-values-and-copying-the-next-column-content-to-the-secon) since there are 1000 table rows, the explorer crashes.   • Keeping the row in edit mode after saveRow in jqgrid

    I want to be able to keep the row in edit mode even after calling saveRow() function in jQgrid. This is because I want to be able to validate the data being saved and remove the edit mode only when the data has passed its validations. I am aware of the succesfunc, which gets called after successful posting of data. I get the response handle too, however, manually calling the editRow(row_id); function does not seem to work. Is there anyway, I can keep the row in edit mode after calling saveRow?

    Hi, all! I try to create a DataGrid in flex which can fit its content. The itemEdit is a TextArea that can auto change its height while inputing. I set variableRowHeight="true" and wordWrap="true". Although The TextArea will auto resize but the height of row is not changed. Could anyone tell me how to change row height of DataGrid while inputing? One way I found is auto commit its text to DataGrid so the DataGrid will know the data changes but which function can commit its data? Thank you!

    Hi everyone, I have some problems with sizing row's height in QTreeWidget. I use QStyledItemDelegate with QPlainTextEdit. During editing text in QPlainTextEdit i check for changes with a help of: rect = self.blockBoundingRect(self.firstVisibleBlock()) and if text it's height changes i need row in QTreeWidget also resizing. But i don't know how to inform TreeWidget or a Delegate about changes, i even tried to initialize editor with index, that i could use in a future, but it suddenly changes: class MyEditor(QPlainTextEdit): def __init__(self, index = None, parent=None): super(MyEditor, self).__init__(parent) self.index = index self.connect(self, SIGNAL("textChanged()"), self.setHeight) def setHeight(self): if self.index: rect = self.blockBoundingRect(self.firstVisibleBlock()) self.resize(rect.width(), rect.height()) self.emit(SIGNAL("set_height"), QSize(rect.width(), rect.height()), self.index) How can i bound editor's size changes with TreeWidget? There are also a "tag" in the first row, which indicates the columns that should not be included in the copy/transpose. From: Tag x Name Jan Feb Mar Apr Larry 2 20 34 56 Harry 3 45 77 88 Marry 5 66 44 33 To: Larry Jan 2 Larry Feb 20 Larry Apr 56 Harry Jan 3 Harry Feb 45 Harry Apr 88 Marry Jan 5 Marry Feb 66 Marry Apr 33 The "Mar" data was omitted due to there's a tag (X) above it. The data might be near hundred columns (few years), and some of the months need to be omitted. Any expert able to help on this? I had been spending whole day cracking my head on this. Worse come to worse I might have to manually copy and paste, that would probably took me a decade.
