  • ObjectiveC builtin template system ?

    - by Aurélien Vallée
I am developing an iPhone application and I use HTML to display formatted text. I often display the same webpage, but with a different content. I would like to use a template HTML file, and then fill it with my diffent values. I wonder if ObjectiveC has a template system similar to ERB in Ruby. That would allow to do things like Template: <HTML> <HEAD> </HEAD> <BODY> <H1>{{{title}}}</H1> <P>{{{content}}}</P> </BODY> </HTML> ObjectiveC (or what it may be in an ideal world) Template* template = [[Template alloc] initWithFile:@"my_template.tpl"]; [template fillMarker:@"title" withContent:@"My Title"]; [template fillMarker:@"content" withContent:@"My text here"]; [template process]; NSString* result = [template result]; [template release]; And the result string would contain: <HTML> <HEAD> </HEAD> <BODY> <H1>My Title</H1> <P>My text here</P> </BODY> </HTML> The above example could be achieved with some text replacement, but that would be a pain to maintain. I would also need something like loops inside templates. For instance if I have multiple items to display, i would like to generate multiple divs. Thanks for reading :)

  • PreferenceActivity and theme not applying

    - by janfsd
Hi all I have set the theme in the manifest file like this: android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Light" But I have a problem in the Preferences Activity, in the main preferences the theme shows ok, but if I get to a sub preference, the theme gets messy, it is not white as it should, it is all dark, and the font is black so you can't see much, and when I start clicking on any items they will get sometimes white as they should but revert to black soon after. This is only happens on 2.1, in both the real device and emulator. Tested on the emulator running 1.6 and it was working correctly. Here is part of the code of the preferences xml file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <PreferenceScreen xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"> <PreferenceScreen android:title="@string/account"> <CheckBoxPreference android:key="enable_account" android:title="@string/account_use" android:summary="@string/account_summ" /> <EditTextPreference android:key="username" android:title="@string/login" android:dependency="enable_account" android:summary="@string/login_summ" /> <EditTextPreference android:key="password" android:title="@string/password" android:dependency="enable_account" android:summary="@string/password_summ" android:password="true" /> </PreferenceScreen> And here is a screenshot: Any workarounds?

  • LaTeX: Multiple authors in a two-column article

    - by Amro
I'm kind of new to LaTeX and I am having a bit of a problem.. I am using a twocolumn layout for my article. There are four authors involved with different affiliations, and I am trying to list all of them under the title so they span the entire width of the page (all on the same level). It should be similar to this: Article Title auth1FN auth1LN 2 ... 3 auth4FN auth4LN department ... department school ... school email@edu ... email@edu Abstract ..................... .................... ..................... .................... ..................... .................... ..................... Currently I have something along the lines: \documentclass[10pt,twocolumn]{article} \usepackage{multicol} \begin{document} \begin{multicols}{2} \title{Article Title} \author{ First Last\\ Department\\ school\\ email@edu \and First Last\\ ... } \date{} \maketitle \end{multicols} \begin{abstract} ... \end{abstract} \section{Introduction} ... \end{document} The problem is that the authors are not displayed all on the same level, instead I get the first three next to each other, followed by the last one underneath. Is there way to achieve what I want? Also if possible, how can I customize the font of the affiliations (to be smaller and in italic)?

  • python sqlite3 won't execute a join, but sqlite3 alone will

    - by Francis Davey
Using the sqlite3 standard library in python 2.6.4, the following query works fine on sqlite3 command line: select segmentid, node_t, start, number, title from ((segments inner join position using (segmentid)) left outer join titles using (legid, segmentid)) left outer join numbers using (start, legid, version); But If I execute it via the sqlite3 library in python I get an error: >>> conn=sqlite3.connect('data/test.db') >>> conn.execute('''select segmentid, node_t, start, number, title from ((segments inner join position using (segmentid)) left outer join titles using (legid, segmentid)) left outer join numbers using (start, legid, version)''') Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> sqlite3.OperationalError: cannot join using column start - column not present in both tables The (computed) table on the left hand side of the join appears to have the relevant column because if I check it by itself I get: >>> conn.execute('''select * from ((segments inner join position using (segmentid)) left outer join titles using (legid, segmentid)) limit 20''').description (('segmentid', None, None, None, None, None, None), ('html', None, None, None, None, None, None), ('node_t', None, None, None, None, None, None), ('legid', None, None, None, None, None, None), ('version', None, None, None, None, None, None), ('start', None, None, None, None, None, None), ('title', None, None, None, None, None, None)) My schema is: CREATE TABLE leg (legid integer primary key, t char(16), year char(16), no char(16)); CREATE TABLE numbers ( number char(16), legid integer, version integer, start integer, end integer, prev integer, prev_number char(16), next integer, next_number char(16), primary key (number, legid, version)); CREATE TABLE position ( segmentid integer, legid integer, version integer, start integer, primary key (segmentid, legid, version)); CREATE TABLE 'segments' (segmentid integer primary key, html text, node_t integer); CREATE TABLE titles (legid integer, segmentid integer, title text, primary key (legid, segmentid)); CREATE TABLE versions (legid integer, version integer, primary key (legid, version)); CREATE INDEX idx_numbers_start on numbers (legid, version, start); I am baffled as to what I am doing wrong. Here's my code: public void MakeList(string title, string listTemplateGUID, int localeIdentifier) { string message; string listUrl; List newList; Guid template; ListCreationInformation listInfo; Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ListCollection lists; try { listUrl = title.Replace(spaceChar, string.Empty); template = GetListTemplate((uint)localeIdentifier, listTemplateGUID); listInfo = new ListCreationInformation(); listInfo.Url = listUrl; listInfo.Title = title; listInfo.Description = string.Empty; listInfo.TemplateFeatureId = template; listInfo.QuickLaunchOption = QuickLaunchOptions. On; clientContext.Load(site); clientContext.ExecuteQuery(); lists = site.Lists; clientContext.Load(lists); clientContext.ExecuteQuery(); newList = lists.Add(listInfo); clientContext.ExecuteQuery(); } catch (ServerException ex) { //... } } Now, this particular part, newList = lists.Add(listInfo); clientContext.ExecuteQuery(); the one that is supposed to create the actual list, throws an exception: Message: Cannot complete this action. • Django one form for two models

    - by martinthenext
Hello! I have a ForeignKey relationship between TextPage and Paragraph and my goal is to make front-end TextPage creating/editing form as if it was in ModelAdmin with 'inlines': several field for the TextPage and then a couple of Paragraph instances stacked inline. The problem is that i have no idea about how to validate and save that: @login_required def textpage_add(request): profile = request.user.profile_set.all()[0] if not (profile.is_admin() or profile.is_editor()): raise Http404 PageFormSet = inlineformset_factory(TextPage, Paragraph, extra=5) if request.POST: try: textpageform = TextPageForm(request.POST) # formset = PageFormSet(request.POST) except forms.ValidationError as error: textpageform = TextPageForm() formset = PageFormSet() return render_to_response('textpages/manage.html', { 'formset' : formset, 'textpageform' : textpageform, 'error' : str(error), }, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) # Saving data if textpageform.is_valid() and formset.is_valid(): textpageform.save() formset.save() return HttpResponseRedirect(reverse(consults)) else: textpageform = TextPageForm() formset = PageFormSet() return render_to_response('textpages/manage.html', { 'formset' : formset, 'textpageform' : textpageform, }, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) I know I't a kind of code-monkey style to post code that you don't even expect to work but I wanted to show what I'm trying to accomplish. Here is the relevant part of models.py: class TextPage(models.Model): title = models.CharField(max_length=100) page_sub_category = models.ForeignKey(PageSubCategory, blank=True, null=True) def __unicode__(self): return self.title class Paragraph(models.Model): article = models.ForeignKey(TextPage) title = models.CharField(max_length=100, blank=True, null=True) text = models.TextField(blank=True, null=True) def __unicode__(self): return self.title Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Two Linked CSS Files Not working

It doesn't work at all. If we add a @import into main.css OR into the header instead of a it works fine though. Any ideas? We also got rid of the media="screens" on both as well. The CSS inside of it is working fine, it's just when we stack those two, the first one parsed is the only one read by the browser. So if we swap main below custom, custom than works but NONE of main works. and custom just has snippet of CSS, and doesn't override all the CSS in main, just 1 element. I can't figure it out! We have other ed stylesheets in the head (which we took out for trying to fix this) and they worked fine...

  • Boost Solr results based on the field that contained the hit

    - by TomFor
Hi, I was browsing the web looking for a indexing and search framework and stumbled upon Solr. A functionality that we abolutely need is to boost results based on what field contained the hit. A small example: Consider a record like this: <movie> <title>The Dark Knight</title> <alternative_title>Batman Begins 2</alternative_title> <year>2008</year> <director>Christopher Nolan</director> <plot>Batman, Gordon and Harvey Dent are forced to deal with the chaos unleashed by an anarchist mastermind known only as the Joker, as it drives each of them to their limits.</plot> </movie> I want to combine for example the title, alternative_title and plot fields into one search field, which isn't too difficult after looking at the Solr/Lucene documentation and tutorials. However I also want that movies that have a hit in title have a higher score than hits on alternative_title and those in their turn should score higher than hits in the plot field. Is there any way to indicate this kond of scoring in the xml or do we need to develop some custom scoring algorythm? Please also note that the example I've givnen is fictional end the real data will probably contain 100+ fields. Thanks in advance, Tom

  • Asp.net mvc 2 .net 4.0 error when View model type is Tuple with more than 4 items

    - by Bojan
    When I create strongly typed View in Asp.net mvc 2, .net 4.0 with model type Tuple I get error when Tuple have more than 4 items example 1: type of view is Tuple<string, string, string, string> (4-tuple) and everything works fine view: <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/WebUI.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<Tuple<string, string, string, string>>" %> controller: var tuple = Tuple.Create("a", "b", "c", "d"); return View(tuple); example 2: type of view is Tuple<string, string, string, string, string> (5-tuple) and I have this error: Compiler Error Message: CS1003: Syntax error, '>' expected view: <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/WebUI.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<Tuple<string, string, string, string, string>>" %> controller: var tuple = Tuple.Create("a", "b", "c", "d", "e"); return View(tuple); example 3 if my view model is of type dynamic I can use both 4-tuple and 5-tuple and there is no error on page view: <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/WebUI.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<dynamic>" %> controller: dynamic model = new ExpandoObject(); model.tuple = Tuple.Create("a", "b", "c", "d"); return View(model); or view: <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/WebUI.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<dynamic>" %> controller: dynamic model = new ExpandoObject(); model.tuple = Tuple.Create("a", "b", "c", "d", "e"); return View(model); Even if I have something like Tuple<string, Tuple<string, string, string>, string> 3-tuple and one of the items is also a tuple and sum of items in all tuples is more than 4 I get the same error, Tuple<string, Tuple<string, string>, string> works fine

  • PHP's SimpleXML: How to use colons in names

The sample given by Google is: <?xml version="1.0"?> <rss version="2.0" xmlns:g="http://base.google.com/ns/1.0"> <channel> <title>The name of your data feed</title> <link>http://www.example.com</link> <description>A description of your content</description> <item> <title>Red wool sweater</title> <link> http://www.example.com/item1-info-page.html</link> <description>Comfortable and soft, this sweater will keep you warm on those cold winter nights.</description> <g:image_link>http://www.example.com/image1.jpg</g:image_link> <g:price>25</g:price> <g:condition>new</g:condition> <g:id>1a</g:id> </item> </channel> </rss> My code has things like: $product->addChild("g:condition", 'new'); Which generates: <condition>new</condition> I read online that I should instead use: $product->addChild("g:condition", 'new', 'http://base.google.com/ns/1.0'); Which now generates: <g:condition xmlns:g="http://base.google.com/ns/1.0">new</g:condition> This seems very counter-intuitive to me, as now the "xmlns" declaration is on almost EVERY line of my RSS feed intead of just once in the root element. Am I missing something?

  • Magento MAGMI: Product attributes (custom options) not showing up in import

    - by Rodgers and Hammertime
When importing a CSV into Magento with the MAGMI importing tool, I am unable to import Custom Options (as in size: smalee/medium/large). The import manages to put in the basic products, but the Custom Options don't transfer accross. By custom options I mean the fields Title, Input Type, Is Required, Sort Order Title, Price, Price Type, SKU, Sort Order Title, Price, Price Type, SKU, Sort Order Title, Price, Price Type, SKU, Sort Order and so on ... Found in the custom options menu... Even using the example CSV from the MAGMI SourceForge Wiki: sku,name,description,price,Size:drop_down:1 T-Shirt1,T-Shirt,A T-Shirt,5.00,Small|Medium|Large T-Shirt2,T-Shirt2,Another T-Shirt,6.00,XS|S|M|L|XL ...it fails to import the attributes. So i'm simply using MAGMI with the supplied example data from SourceForge on a blank magento product list, and it doesn't transfer properly. Can anyone shed any light on what might be wrong? I am using Magento ver. 1.6.1.0 if that changes anything. Thanks.

When I use this json: {"html":"test","newNodeName":""} I've verified that my first big chick of json is valid. Why isn't it processed by jQuery.parseJSON Are there any special characters that don't go well with json?

  • jQuery ajax link, returned data includes a from that wont submit

Hi everyone, I have a problem with the returned data from a ajax request. Basically when I click on a link it runs a ajax request to load some html into a div, that part is working fine the problem comes when the data has been loaded. Part of the html loaded is a form, this form works fine if I load the page directly but when it is loaded through ajax into the div it wont submit but the rest of the links in the html work fine. Here is the code that requests the remote html data: // Ajax to load image editing page $('a.editpicture').click(function(e) { e.preventDefault(); var picture = $(this).attr("id") $.ajax({ url: 'http://localhost/digital-xposure/index.php/members/viewpicture/' + picture, success: function(data) { $('#update-picture').html(data); } }); }); This is the form it loads: <form method="post" id="updatepicture" name="updatepicture" action="http://localhost/digital-xposure/index.php/members/editpicture"/> <p>Title<input type="text" name="title" id="title" style="input" value="<?php echo $title; ?>"></P> <p>Album<?php echo $albums;?></p> <p>Description<textarea name="description" id="description" cols="50" rows="5"><?php echo $description; ?></textarea></P> <input type="hidden" name="filename" id="filename" value="<?php echo $filename; ?>" /> <input type="button" name="update-submit" id="update-submit" value="Update details" class="button"> Or <input type="button" onClick="location.href='<?php echo base_url(); ?>index.php/members/deletepicture/<?php echo $filename; ?>'" value="Delete picture" class="button"> </form> Any ideas why the form wont submit after being loaded into the div? • Django DRY Feeds

    - by Mandx
I'm using the Django Feeds Framework and it's really nice, very intuitive and easy to use. But, I think there is a problem when creating links to feeds in HTML. For example: <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="{{ feed_title }}" href="{{ url_of_feed }}" /> Link's HREF attribute can be easily found out, just use reverse() But, what about the TITLE attribute? Where the template engine should look for this? Even more, what if the feed is build up dinamically and the title depends on parameters (like this)? I can't come up with a solution that "seems" DRY to me... All that I can come up with is using context processors o template tags, but it gets messy when the context procesor/template tag has to find parameters to construct the Feed class, and writing this I realize I don't even know how to create a Feed instance myself within the view. If I put all this logic in the view, it would not be just one view. Also, the value for TITLE would be in the view AND in the feed.

    - by amnesia-55
Hello, I have an XML structure which looks similar to: <Store> <foo> <book> <isbn>123456</isbn> </book> <title>XYZ</title> <checkout>no</checkout> </foo> <bar> <book> <isbn>7890</isbn> </book> <title>XYZ2</title> <checkout>yes</checkout> </bar> </Store> Using xml.dom.minidom only (restrictions) i would like to 1)traverse through the XML file 2)Search/Get for particular element, depending on its parent Example: checkout element for author1, isbn for author2 3)Change/Set that element's value 4)Write the new XML structure to a file Can anyone help here? Thank you! UPDATE: This is what i have done till now import xml.dom.minidom checkout = "yes" def getLoneChild(node, tagname): assert ((node is not None) and (tagname is not None)) elem = node.getElementsByTagName(tagname) if ((elem is None) or (len(elem) != 1)): return None return elem def getLoneLeaf(node, tagname): assert ((node is not None) and (tagname is not None)) elem = node.getElementsByTagName(tagname) if ((elem is None) or (len(elem) != 1)): return None leaf = elem[0].firstChild if (leaf is None): return None return leaf.data def setcheckout(node, tagname): assert ((node is not None) and (tagname is not None)) child = getLoneChild(node, 'foo') Check = getLoneLeaf(child[0],'checkout') Check = tagname return Check doc = xml.dom.minidom.parse('test.xml') root = doc.getElementsByTagName('Store')[0] output = setcheckout(root, checkout) tmp_config = '/tmp/tmp_config.xml' fw = open(tmp_config, 'w') fw.write(doc.toxml()) fw.close()

  • Set predefine form value (webbrowser control)

    - by Khou
    Hi I want to load my windows form: web browser thats using the webbrowser control, It would load a web page, and load my defination and search for elements that has been define, it will then assign the default values and these values can not be changed by the end user. Example If my application finds "FirstName" it would always assign the value "John" If my application finds "LastName" it would always assign the value "Smith" (these values should not be changed by the end user). Here's how to do it in HTML/JAVASCRIPT, but how do i do this in a windows form? HTML <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> <title>page title</title> <script script type="text/javascript" src="demo1.js"></script> </head> <body onload="def(document.someform, 'name', 'my default name value');"> <h2 style="color: #8e9182">test form title</h2> <form name="someform" id="someform_frm" action="#"> <table cellspacing="1"> <tr><td><label for="name">NameX: </label></td><td><input type="text" size="30" maxlength="155" name="name" onchange="def(document.someform, 'name', 'my default name value');"></td></tr> <tr><td><label for="name2">NameY: </label></td><td><input type="text" size="30" maxlength="155" name="name2"></td></tr> <tr><td colspan="2"><input type="button" name="submit" value="Submit" onclick="showFormData(this.form);" ></td></table> </form> </body> </html> JAVASCRIPT function def(oForm, element_name, def_txt) { oForm.elements[element_name].value = def_txt; }

  • jquery wait till large document is loaded

    - by Martijn
In my web application I call a document can be huge. This document is loaded into an iframe. I have a title, buttons and the text which all depends on this document. The text is from the large document and is displayed in the iframe. I'd like to show an animated gif while the document is loading on 3 places (1: document title, 2: document buttons, 3: document text, the iframe) I've tried the onload event on the Iframe, but this doesn't give the me the desired effect. Here's my code that loads the document: function loadDocument(id, doc) { $("#DocumentContent").show(); $("#ButtonBox").show(); // Clear dynamic menu items $("#DynamicMenuContent").html(""); $("#PageContent").html(""); // Load document in frame $("#iframeDocument").attr("src", 'ViewDoc.aspx?id=' + id + '&doc=' + doc + ''); // $("#iframeDocument").attr("src", "Graphics/loader.gif"); // Load menu items $.ajax({ url: "ShowButtons.aspx?id=" + id + "&doc=" + doc, success: function(data) { $("#DynamicMenuContent").html(data) }, error: function(xhr, err, e) { alert("error: " + err) } }); // Set document title $("#documentTitle").load("GetDocumentInfo.aspx?p=title"); } My questions, how can I display a loader gif while the document is loaded? And remove the gif when the document is ready?

  • iPhone: Get indexPath of Predicate Object

    - by Nic Hubbard
I am using a predicate to find an object in core data. I can successfully find the object that I want, but I need to also get the indexPath of that object, so that I can push a details view in for that object. Currently I have the following code for getting my object: NSFetchRequest *fetchRequest = [[NSFetchRequest alloc] init]; [fetchRequest setEntity:[NSEntityDescription entityForName:@"Ride" inManagedObjectContext:self.managedObjectContext]]; NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"title = %@ AND addressFull = %@", view.annotation.title, view.annotation.subtitle]; [fetchRequest setPredicate:predicate]; NSMutableArray *sortDescriptors = [NSMutableArray array]; [sortDescriptors addObject:[[[NSSortDescriptor alloc] initWithKey:@"title" ascending:YES] autorelease]]; [sortDescriptors addObject:[[[NSSortDescriptor alloc] initWithKey:@"addressFull" ascending:YES] autorelease]]; [fetchRequest setSortDescriptors:sortDescriptors]; [fetchRequest setReturnsObjectsAsFaults:NO]; [fetchRequest setPropertiesToFetch:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"title", @"addressFull", nil]]; NSError *error = nil; NSArray *fetchedItems = [self.managedObjectContext executeFetchRequest:fetchRequest error:&error]; // Sohow what record we returned NSLog(@"%@",[fetchedItems objectAtIndex:0]); So, I can correctly get my object into an array. But how do I translate that object into an indexPath?
